One month ago I bought the Nauticam housing instead, because the ikelite didn't have the flat port 😭😭😭. Now that I'm seeing this I wanna cry. One thing I love about the Ikelite is it's flotability, with the nauticam you must have floats on it.
@@BluewaterPhotoStore Me and all my floats are enjoying it! :D I wonder if you're allowed to carry the nauticam housing inside a plane though, normally heavy objects aren't permitted, and it really scares me to carry it with me.
We haven't been able to make the camera overheat yet in that housing, but we've been diving in cold water and have likely not been filming long enough at 4K/60p to make it happen. We'll have to do an overheating test!
hi team! im close to getting a 6700 system, and i was wondering, whats a better option. the 10-20 PZ or the kit lens paired with a wide angle wet lens. Which will provide a wider n sharper image/video? the ability to shoot both macro n wide angle is such a plus point, but does it sacrifice quality?
Hi! I think you'll actually find that the image quality is better with the wet wide angle lens and the kit lens. It should be wider and sharper than the 10-20 PZ. We just took the prototype diving with us in Fiji so if you'd like to see the full resolution images, please reach out to nirupam@bluewaterphotostore.com. There is still a few more weeks before the full system comes out - the prototype was being tested in Fiji.
Looks like a great option for the 6700. I'm eager to see the total kit cost when it comes out!
We're hoping fairly soon! We're working with Ikelite on getting a couple of the kinks ironed out :)

Sorry about the timing but we hope you're enjoying your nauticam!

@@hinenik Sometimes I tell the airlines that my camera system is valuable if they ever object and I've always been let on with it :)
@@BluewaterPhotoStore Let's hope it works with the European airlines 😆!
What about the overheating inside the housing if you recording 4k 60fps 10-bit? The comes faster from the land ?
