I just recently started cutting my husband’s hair because it was more cost effective for me to cut it rather than paying a barber $25 + every two weeks. My husband is thinning in the middle part of his scalp (common with male pattern baldness) so he likes a basic haircut like this. I appreciate you making videos for “the people”! This helped me a lot!

This was amazing, my girl was able to give me a cut after following this and is holding me down during quarantine. She might even become my permanent barber lol.
Thank you for this video man. When I cut my hair low I end up with slight patches. I think going against the grain will help even things out. I’mma keep it real, I got dem cheap Walmart kind of clippers but hey I’ve gotten compliments and I’ve saved money/time.

After watching your video, I actually feel some confidence in trying this out. You made it look very easy and not so confusing. Hopefully, I'll do well and my husband, Bob will be pleased. This social distancing thing has us doing things we wouldn't normally have to do! Thank you.

Sup slim, I'm new to the cutting game, my cousin had to go to the hospital a while ago and when he came out, I got DRAFTED to cut his hair. Next thing you know, his mother (my aunt) wanted me to start cutting hers, now I'm cutting my mother's hair too. It's all good, I don't mind, we're family. But I always wanted to know if I was supposed to go against the grain or with the grain? My cousin has a bald head so that's no problem, but my mother and aunt have short hair cut's. This video helped me out a lot. thanks, slim, keep doing what you do.
I just finished re-touching my hair! I let someone cut it first to get it like I want it. Then cut the little growth off around each month. I’m growing the top out and keeping the sides and back short. I’m natural and don’t feel like dealing with all that so I picked that style to at least be able to make ponytails and such. It’s much easier for me to handle. Barbers cost $20 where i’m at and I have to touch up at least each month! You do the math! That’s $240 per year! I bought the clippers and tried it out but messed it up back then and had to go to the barber to fix it so I left it alone for a while but this time today I tried it, took my time. I did the going against the grain on the sides but went with the grain in the back but next time i’ll go against the grain all the way around. I do see the difference but couldn’t figure it out cause the sides look more cut close than the back so I just left well enough alone cause I didn’t want to mess nothing up. I use a lady pen size handheld shaver to shape the edges and nape of neck cause the clipper blade is too wide for me to handle! I don’t want to accidentally cut off my eyebrows lol- That is what bought me here to youtube. Glad I saw your video explaining it. Thank you
