The fourth day of our South India tour starts with our visit to the famous Ramanathaswamy temple in the morning to see the Rameshwaram Temple Jyotirlinga. Then after breakfast we checkout from our hotel and hire a cab to visited the tourist places around Rameshwaram.
We started with our journey to Dhanushkodi and our first visit was the Vibhishan Temple which is called Kothanda Ramar Temple. Our next stop was the ghost city of Dhanushkodi. Here we took some time to visit the Dhanushkodi Railway station, Dhanushkodi Harbour, Dhanushkodi Hanuman Temple, Dhanushkodi Beach and the Dhanushkodi Light House.
After visiting the abandoned Dhanushkodi town it was time to visit the Rama Setu which is also known as Adam's Bridge. We reached the Arichal Munai Sunset Point which is the last place upto which the National High 87 exists. Then we spend some time at Rama's Bridge watching the visible structures and features of Rama Setu that is a bridge between India and Sri Lanka which are just 27 KM apart from here.
Next we headed back to Rameswaram and visited the famous Pamban Bridge. The Pamban Railway bridge which is Asia's oldest sea bridge and one of India's longest sea bridge is now closed. A new Pamban Rail bridge is being constructed right beside the old Pamban bridge. We enjoyed the views from here and then headed back to Rameswaram to visit the last few tourist attractions of the city. First we visited the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam National Memorial, then we visited Laxman Teertham, then we visited Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple and floating stones and finally we visited the Rama Teertham.
Now it was time to go to the railway station. On the way went to Sri Saravana Bhavan for lunch. After lunch we went to the Mohabeer Dharamshala which is a very sacred place as Maa Sarada had come and stayed at this place during her visit to Rameswaram in 1911. Next we went to the Rameswaram Railway station which is right next to the Mohabeer Dharamshala. And then we boarded a bus which was arranged by the Indian Railways to take us to Mandapam Station from where we boarded our train that took us to our next destination.

কলকাতা থেকে ট্রেন এ মাদুরাই যাবেন... সেখান থেকে ট্রেন কিংবা বাস এ রামেশ্বরম যেতে পারেন..কলকাতা থেকে চেন্নাই গিয়ে সেখান থেকেও রামেশ্বরম যাওয়া যায়... আমি কন্যাকুমারী থেকে ট্রেনে রামেশ্বরম গেছিলাম।
2) কতোদিন সময় লাগবে?
এক থেকে দুই দিন যথেষ্ট
3) কতো খরচ হবে?
হোটেল ধর্মশালা 500 টাকা থেকে শুরু... আমি ছিলাম হোটেল তামিলনাড়ু তে... অনলাইন Book করতে পারেন নিচের লিঙ্ক এ গিয়ে
4) কিভাবে ঘুরবেন?
Cab করতে পারেন.. খরচ 2500 টাকা... এর মধ্যে পম্বন ব্রিজ Include আছে
