    If you are returning the engine back into the stock vehicle and still want the Ac compressor and powersteering pump etc, do you still need the alternator bracket, or something or else or keep the stock form?

    This was the best series of videos I've ever seen for rebuilding a motor thank you guys. When you Dyno the engine are you going to go over your fuel delivery the kind of pump you use etc

    @2CarPros…thinking of upgrading to a metal intake manifold, mines all stock. Do I need to upgrade or Tune anything just after replacing with a metal manifold? That’s all I’m wanting to upgrade. Rest will stay stock.

    I just want to say thanks for all the videos, Help Alot on my build Sir!!!
    I'm currently doing the same build, I have 2003 Lm7 5.3 bored.020 with LSA supercharger to put on top. Going into 1984 chevy caprice, using I.C.T billet adapter plates, and energy suspension motor mounts.
    My question is which steam line ports would be the best .
    Block the back 2 off and just use the front 2 or use 4 steam port that loops around super charger to the frt.
    Just thought I asked since I'm using a super charger,

      4 is always better than 2. It has to do with how the engine is tilted in the car. So it's just easier to go with 4 and avoid any kind of air bubble in the heads.

    So can I just run the stock steam lines? Also can I dead head the rail on one side and will the fuel pressure be fine? I shouldn’t have to use a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator right? I have this intake but for some reason the connecting of the fuel lines to the rails is just confusing the crap out of me. Thanks.

    Hi watch this series I cannot count how many times I have been doing my build off of all your videos well yesterday I put my heads on and realized I did not put the lifters in so I took the heads back off and reinstalled the lifters and then used the same fell pro head boats to fasten the heads back on I did the OEM procedure and they felt like they had a nice clamping force what do you think should I go with it or should I teared apart again and get new head boats

    I’m doing a lm7 5.3 build as well with a single turbo kit, I’m only going to use the front steam crossover tube, question is can i block off the water pump spacer hole & use the accessory drive like yours?

    I was looking at the summit oil pan but I noticed you cannot screw your transmission to the pan like the stock what do you do in the situation do you just not screw the bell housing to the oil pan

      @@2carpros is that Safe I really wanted to go with that pan I love the fact that it’s metal and painted I ordered one aluminum Harley clone on eBay and it came damaged I just ordered a different one from eBay hoping it works but I would prefer to go with this one just didn’t know if it was safe to run it with the all the housing bolts bolted

      Yeah it's in the steam line kit. But it's just a -4AN ORB junction block with 1/8" NPT port and one -4AN to 1/8" NPT flare adapter. Thanks for watching!

    Great videos man. Question to set the timing you move the crank to cylinder 1 and make sure it’s at tdc then you slide the lower sprocket on and that all you have to do?

      You can use header bolts in the header locations if you thread them in far. I don't remember the exact bolts for the front and rear of the heads though they are a bit bigger than header bolts I just head laying around from the tear down. Thanks for watching!

      I have no idea honestly. You could add up everything we used. But you don't have to get everything new like we did. Like if your rods were in good shape that would save you 500 bucks.

    Thanks for taking your time and recording this series and then taking the time to upload to your channel. Also thanks for adding all the links for parts in the description section. Just out of morbid curiosity I have wanted to rebuild an engine for a while now. Just to do it. I'll either sell it when I have completed it or find a vehicle to swap it into. Block I am rebuilding is an LC9, which is a 5.3L gen. 4 aluminum block. Probably go with forged pistons and rods. The stock crank should suffice for the power level I am looking at. If the crank needs to be turned, then I will probably just buy a new stock one. I'll need to run to the boneyard one of these days and pick up a set of heads. Last time I was there I had a chance to grab a set of 706 heads, but was a little too lazy. The beauty of this is I am doing it for the learning experience and I have no time table so I won't be rushed and I can take all the time I need.

      @@2carpros Yes. That will probably happen, because if I want to sell the person buying it is going to want to know what kind of power it is making and make sure that during the initial start up the engine runs great. No oil and aluminum milkshake and rings get seated, etc. I have a 1986 Grand National I could swap it into, but the rebuilt stock motor in it only has 3k miles on it and most of those are just cruising miles. I have only went WOT with it once or twice. Believe it or not I have not taken the time to properly tune it. Not much to tuning it, just adjusting the methanol injection. With an optimal tune it will probably make 550whp and a similar torque number. Swapping the LS into it, will allow me to save the stock rebuild which was about $17k. I'd have more power to play with and not really have to worry about hurting the motor as the LS is so much stronger. Thank you

    I have a 2003 lm7 out of my trailblazer that has knock/slap not sure but it still runs good, I’d like to rebuild it but I’ve never rebuilt an engine. Do you think an ls is easy enough for a novice to rebuild?

    This makes me want to go out and rebuild my 250K mile 5.3 even though it’s not quite wore out yet. I’ve fed it a steady diet of Amsoil all its life so it still has a lot of life left.

    Absolutely never use a hacksaw… high speed cut off wheels leave no burrs and easily seat into the fittings, always done it that way like everybody else for 20+ years and NOBODY EVER used a hacksaw but i guess i didn’t have some cutters i was trying to sell.

      @@2carpros not well, cut-off wheel doesn’t leave the wires sticking out but keep selling those cutters!

      @@jeremysmith6905 Worked fine for me. I don't sell anything or any financial kickbacks. Also most people don't have highspeed cut off wheel that they would have to buy since you have some sort of problem with buying things. Most people have a hacksaw ironically.
