This is how I was able to develop my talent. I embarrassed myself in front of everyone, but if it wasn’t by that embarrassment I wouldn’t be able to succeed at it. So yes, embarrassing yourself is the first step sometimes.
About a year ago, had one of the most "cringe" moments of my life. At a point I just broke down and bared my entire soul to those I considered close to me. Of course it backfired with me looking "needy" and "insecure". Now I'm seeing it as that first step. A year later, I've prioritized who really matters to me and who I value enough to be in my space. I'm on my way to finishing university education with flying honours. I've scaled down my hobbies, interests, life goals. My physical health has also immensely improved. I look back at that cringe moment and still feel a tad embarrassed, but without that first step, I wouldn't have worked to a greater place, where I am only a year later, and knowing more "cringe" will come, but so will more growth. You never know what path that first step is gonna lead you on, but you have to keep walking to find out.
