Have had great experiences at Culver’s and have had absolutely horrible ones, with mediocre food and indifferent service in a filthy restaurant. In N Out? Never a bad time. Oh, and the Double Double Animal Style > Butterburger.
Lived in Minnesota for 14 years. Lived in Socal for 10 years. Without question, In N Out is superior for burgers. It's not even close. Culvers is great for its custard and concrete mixers etc though.
Hard to compare because In-N-Out is just a burger place whereas Culver’s sells a large variety of items including chicken, fish, salads, onion rings 🧅, salads 🥗, cheese 🧀 curds a a lot of other things. For me Culver’s wins.

In-N-Out uses only American “cheese” which is fake cheese….not real. Culver’s offers a choice of real Tillamook cheddar or Swiss cheese…and American cheese (gross).
