Ghostly prisoners are said to haunt Mullingar Arts Centre. There are spirits of a different kind at the Kilbeggan Distillery and there's something odd at Belvedere House. There's also a classic Westmeath story.

I have had to reupload this video - my apologies. The video displayed perfectly in my preview but the audio and visual tracks didn't seem to match when I uploaded it.

6:19 Derek Accorah was a known *fraud* and his accounts of any hauntings should be dismissed as *bullshit.*

I'm always wary when mentioning supposed "psychics" by name in posts or videos, but I always felt conflicted over Derek Accorah. Even as a kid, his “possessions” looked theatrical and suspicious to me, but I always thought there *might* be a grain of ability behind all his bluster. I saw an item that recounted the whole Kreed Kafer / Derek Faker affair, but it also mentioned work he did on a few other, lower key projects where he seemed to call on knowledge that wasn’t in the public domain and that could not have easily been fed to him. Definitely a showman first and foremost and he WAS following the money for sure, but “the show” itself wasn’t exactly above question - even after he left. I am sure there was pressure from execs to “make things happen” to keep it going. Can’t have a “psychic” going into a haunted building and saying that they felt nothing on such a big show. Perhaps he did what they needed him to do at the time and maybe he sacrificed whatever integrity he had in pursuit of the big bucks - Dr Ciaran O'Keeffe certainly exposed that element of his personality for sure. Yvette’s new book is also damming to say the least. Conflicted and disappointed.

@@irishghosts As I remember, Chris Halton("Haunted Earth" Video Channel) was one of, if not THE first to catch out, and call out *Most Haunted* for faking ghosts. Accorah may have gone from the show by then, but his reputation was already in tatters.
