- Yellow Jackets Nest inside a customers home above the soffit of their house. The nest was extracted and brought home to where all my chickens and Humphrey the squirrel were able to consume the nest and its contents. The circle of life is completed here; nests do NOT go to waste!

I used to hate wasps and hornets, because of a childhood accident of a wasps nest falling down and being attacked by them, but your amazing channel has helped me completely get over my fears. Thank you for educating people so well, in a very entertaining and informative way. You have helped me get over my phobia, as I went by a wasps nest the other day, and educated my kids on what they were seeing, without any fear. It's really inspiring that you are managing to overcome your fears through Hornet King's channel. He does have a true gift! MANY in fact! What an interesting, well-rounded and caring human Bret is! I really hope we get to come along for the ride that is his life for a long time. I got stung badly by a yellow jacket as a child as well (just one though). That's how I discovered my sting allergy. Extreme pain, itchiness, and a head to toe rash. :'( I was deathly afraid of any flying stinging things, honey bees to wasps it didn't matter. I'm not deathly afraid anymore, I'm just aware of their triggers and behaviors and try to stay away. In Southern AZ we have Africanized honey bees, so even the cute little honey bees are not "safe" to be around here. People get attacked by Africanized bees often because they disturb an established nest and experience defensive behavior. :( I won't lie, I like watching wasps and yellow jackets get vacuumed and eaten by the chickens. 😄 I know they have a place in the ecosystem, but I still hold a bit of a grudge. 🖕I feel the same way about mosquitos, although I question their role in the ecosystem. 🤔
i used to hate squirrels, cuz 1 made me fall out of a tree, when i was 8. (20 ft down & into a 4 month coma/lotsa internal problems & a broken collarbone/it almost killed me) but now i luv all the lil squirrelies & i've kinda dedicated my channel to them aswell. (i been shoving my camera in their faces for so long, they've gotten use to it) i aint even gotta go out the front door. i guess i've sorta become the weird squirrel lady of the neighborhood. 😉 if u or your kids would ever like to meet any other squirrels, u know where to find us. 🌲🏡🌲

You hand feeding your squirrel the larvae at the end is by far and wide one of the absolute sweetest things I have ever seen. You are made of heart and are absolutely wicked smart. Thank you for sharing this goodness. Wish there were more people like you!!
My wife feeds MANY squirrels over here. (Some of them are even unique enough for her to name) they just keep coming back. then a couple stray cats found us & surprise, one of them came with a couple kittens. She even went as far as making them a paper mache house. Her love for animals is something we both share in common with one another. I'm just glad we only got the one indoor cat, that actually makes me buy cat litter. ... Uh-oh... Watch that change in the Winter... Dammit!

I grew up on a large farm. I've been stung by wasp ,hornet, yellowjacket, bee, scorpion, and mud-dobber. I've encountered them all! My fear has now been replaced with respect for these insects. Thank you, Bret!!💖 You are a very gifted man!!

The kitten settled up at my head on my pillow and started watching too! She seems to love the chickens and started purring when Humphrey came on. She's now settled and asleep on my bed. @@starfishprime2864 lol no, hes not a pet really. I rescued him when he was orphaned and bottle raised him. He lives in the hedgerow now. But I see him a lot out there.

He relocates nests on occasion as well but a lot of these are in very bad areas and have to be removed.

Humphrey’s tail has become so bushy!! I love the tri-color fur he has. It’s really obvious on his tail, brown shades in the center , extending to black then white. He’s gorgeous!

I've seen your videos with and without the music and I liked them both. I noticed the music here and thought it was tastefully done. Not too loud and not all over the video. It was nice and quiet while Humphry was eating. So I like it, either way. Your videos are so entertaining that you have the luxury of not needing music. Good spot to be in. I especially enjoyed this one.
Humphrey has got to be the most noisy, and cutest, eater. I could watch your animals all day.

Hi Brett, I raised a squirrel about 20 plus years ago in Philly, Squiqqy was his name and just like Humphrey he was awesome. He was with us for about 6 months wanted no part of the outside even if I was with him, but one day he was ready but every night he came back and wanted in to sleep in his cage. One night he didn’t come home I was so worried about him, my husband said he is doing what he should do. So time goes by like a few years and who comes home, yep I could not believe it, at first he was nervous but he heard my voice and came to me with kisses it was wonderful, again he leaves but the next day he comes back with his wife and 2 kiddies, can you believe it I was so happy he came to me but not his family that was the best summer and our last summer there we moved to Glenmoore. I wanted to trap them and bring them but thought better of it, I thought a lot over the years about him and than Humphrey showed up on my feed, thank you so much, brought back so many wonderful memories. Sorry for the long story but I knew you would like it.

Yesterday i was going through some bottles and cans from an event we had and there must've been a nest in there cause there were so many bees in there and a 2 inch queen was swarming that one bag. I thought damn , the wasp king would be psyched to see this.
While I was on the bus I got stung by a wasp that somehow went into my jeans, this is the first time I’ve ever gotten stung in my life, and this is the third day after discovering your channel and watching your videos. I remember thinking to myself, “I’ve never gotten stung a single time in my life”. Needless to say, I no longer hold that clean record. Keep up the good work, love your animals.

I trained an adult squirrel to come sit on my chest and eat peanuts while I laid in the grass. It took about two weeks, but he would still get startled and run away if there were any loud sounds or fast movements. This is on another level. Nice work.

I find the music completely unnecessary because it takes away a lot of what makes the videos enjoyable in the first place and that's
being able to hear all the sounds and the ambience which gives a sense of what it's like being there with the chickens and the wasps.

I think it's fine when you put music while narating , there's another segment when the sound is minimal and just enjoy the cozy atmosphere. I hope I explained it clearly

If the volume is too loud, your voice will drown, so this is really tricky to do!

You've kind of opened my eyes a bit after watching some of your videos. I think I still hate wasps, I'm very allergic, but I get more of a sense of their place in the world thanks to your example. So I guess thank you for showing us a part of life we don't get to see every day. Not many people are willing to do what you do.

He said that he didint spray the nest but just the place were it was after my friend!
I never sprayed near the nest. I mention in the video that I didnt even use spray until the nest was out and in the bin in my car; and only then, I sprayed just the empty cavity.

I have a question for you- why do you remove wasps when you can remove bees and get the honey? Wasps dont really produce something to benefit us do they? Unless we count the food for your miniature zoo :)
Wasps are just as beneficial for the ecosystem as honeybees. Common misnomer. My business is wasp nest removals. Not bees.

There was a lil' yellow jacket walking around the ginkgo leaves in the shade.
She couldn't fly. Too cold.
I picked her up on a ginkgo leaf and walked her to a sunny spot on the other side of the building.
My friends called me nuts. But hey, cold isn't the way I want to go either eh.
