- Just some sound testing.
This time I turned sound frequencies into polyrhythms.
What should I do next?

This video is blowing up! 🥳
Thank you guys for everything. This means a lot to me.
I always liked that idea in harmor to display frequencies, I remember messing around with it like ten years ago just by creating smooth looking curves and and stuff.
Yeah. Harmor is one of the only plugins that can do that. It is way more powerful than most people think.
@@paul_cochrane I mean any spectrogram can but I guess it's the only one included in fl
@@zitronekoma30 its the only stock synthesizer plugin that has a built in spectrogram
Whenever I see this it always looks like the deep psychedelic trips I hear so much about, and it makes me wonder if those people are just seeing polyrhythms in light wave form because of synesthesia. Hope some research on this comes out soon.
occasionally getting flashbacks of the music from the spyro 2 "summer forest" and "autumn plains" homeworld themes. especially around the 40 second mark of this video. Thanks a lot for the nostalgia sadness!
You're welcome 👍
Believe me, this would make a good base for any song!
yooo startin from 0:55 you can see faces or strange illusions into the grid of dots
I noticed. Polyrhythms are strange.
this is so mesmerising
Thanks
0:20 pretty stars :0
Yea 👍
Niiiice. Good job :)
Thanks!! :)
Could you post one with just the first system, and allow it to evolve longer?
If it were on my DAW (how the heck do you build one of these things?) I would add a beat and chords, and adjust the pentatonic scale in realtime to work with the chords of whatever song you end up putting over it.
I've been thinking about turning it into a song. I should also probably make a tutorial on how to make it. All you need to do is get the plugin called Harmor and mess around with the phaser types and automate the phaser width until you get something similar and then add effects.
woah nice stuff :)
Thanks!
Kinda reminds me of Shepard tones
Yeah they kinda sound like that.
This is inspirational. I just got FL Studio. How'd you make this?
I used the phaser in Harmor and messed around with different phaser types and added some effects.
@@paul_cochrane I just opened up the Harmor and had an aneurysm. Thanks
no problem 👍
Audible moire effect
aliasing is a good example of it too :)
when is the 1hr deep no loop coming?
It will take some time according to schedule.
This reminds me of the intro to that one song some video documentary TH-camrs use in the intro as it builds up
Anyone know what I’m talking about?
Oh that’s cool dude
Thanks
Ummm can you make a ten minute version please?!
That's a good idea. I'm not sure how many people would want that though.
any tutorials? im trying to do some too xd
Nice vid tho!
I am planning on making tutorials.
a quick explanation to how I made this video was I used a plugin called Harmor and I loaded the default preset and then I turned on the Phaser and then messed with the Phaser types and tweaked the prism knob and added some effects. It's not hard. Also don't forget to click the arrow at the very right in the plugin to show the visuals.
@@paul_cochrane Harmor is really powerful xd
@@paul_cochrane i tried it,it works but only on the bottom part xd
For some reason, the part around 0:22 sounds like Husky by C418 from Minecraft
edit: no sorry it's Haunt Muskie
I can't seem to find the song you are talking about
Not your fault. It seems that I have mistyped the name of the song, the name is not Husky, it's actually Haunt Muskie. My bad, I'm sorry.
Anyways, your contents are great!
👍
Windchimes
Indeed
Holy crap that is the coolest sound ever!!!
Thanks!!!
This is incredible! Can you explain how you made it? I want to use this sound everywhere!
This is just 8 minutes away from being a Brian Eno track
I use a plugin called harmor. If you go to the default init preset, you can mess around with the phaser types and automate the phaser width to get a similar sound. I will probably make a tutorial going in depth to how it works and how to do it.
Harmor on prism mode?
Nope. I did use prism on the art video though.
you should go back to piano
buddy, my sound design experiments are getting popular. I will do some piano but trying out something new is never a bad idea. I want my audience to stay interested. If I stay with piano, not everyone will stay. If I keep trying out new things, people will get more interested.
If you haven't noticed, I know that you want me to go back to piano from previous comments you made, but I am trying something new. If all fails I will absolutely go back to piano but currently I am succeeding.
@@paul_cochrane on a thought about that, if you have both piano videos and sound designing videos you can hold both audiences (it shows the people coming for sound design that you are more multifaceted than sound design if you consistantly upload both, and more easily accepting of it), if you have people who watched for piano and arent intrested by these videos they will inevitably stop watching, and then you wont be able to have them to upload to
I get your point but.. true musicians will not be angered by something different than piano and decide to leave. that's unrealistic and very unlikely to happen from what ive seen.
@@qar_ty7732 agreed.
