I thought you would need to take that entire thing apart to fix it. You were lucky they had room inside there to unscrew those 2 studs without dismantling the entire unit. That would have taken half a day, or longer. I nearly bought one of those inverter units, until I saw how complex they are, when compared to a normal brush type generator unit, which hopefully, I will never run enough to wear out. And they are cheaper than the inverter units. It looks like yet another hurricane will hit late next week. Lately, Louisiana has turned into a hurricane magnet. The generators & portable AC unit I bought turned out to be good investments. I have enough propane to stay powered up for a week.
Excellent , Well done 👍 👍 If I were you , I would be having nightmares for a week. Catch you on the next one. Take care my friend.
This is why Tom is an expert and I would never make it as a mechanic…. I was ready to crack that case like an egg after about the 15 minute mark

Hi Tom, With tight area/s always lock at removing one of the carby studs on the inlet area, than you should be able to roll it off, Thx Rod
its exactly what i did
I thought the dam thing was a blue gasoline can🤣🤣
I would have just taken 2-3 minutes and split the case. Still, interesting way to remove carburetor. Good video. Thank You...
Hey Tom you think you could have tried to just flush the fuel lines and carb in place so to avoid the hassle of removing it?
absolutely but i had the time
It's shocking to hear that surging Tom Dolby 😮

Sir Tom, where did you pick up the tool that looks like something from a doctors office for looking in the ear ?
it's an Ottoscope, got it at walmart in the health section for like 17 bucks, one of my many favorite tools!
I need one to look in dogs ears 😊
Been there, I won’t touch any of the small generators.
And that is the very reason, I no longer work on small gennys, no thank you.
Yeah use too gas would eat styrofoam cup nowadays gas and water/ethanol probably won’t
