It's a great solution. If you could either zoom in a tiny bit or move the lens slightly to the right you would get rid of the door frame and the switch. Would make a big difference 😊
This is one of the best small studio setup for content creators I’ve seen in a while 🔥 That Manfrotto autopole really frees up the space underneath 🙌🏼 Thanks for sharing and inspiring Jorge
I really needed this video...searched a lot but never found anything. But randomly your video came 🤟and this video took me toward the subscribe button!
To be fair mate, that is an amazing set up. Even your small desk area is Goals. I'm just starting out on my journey with youtube so this video has helped me immensely. Thank you.
I have a few questions. First question: Why is 120 cm not 90 cm or smaller? Second question: Why is there no grid? Third question: Why are there no RGB lights? The fourth and for me the most important question: Rode videomic ntg is rechargeable. Are you constantly trying to charge it or is it getting its energy from the camera? If you're struggling with charging, why didn't you choose a model that doesn't have charging problems? Fifth question: I use a mobile phone as a camera and in the past I tried rode wireless go 1 rode wireless go 2 and lavaliver microphone on them and lastly I switched to the rode nt usb + model. Do you think my sound quality will increase if I switch to a microphone such as ntg, podmic, rode nt1a 5th generation or shure sm7b? Or do you think this is necessary? Finally, fan noises in the room create bottom sound. Have you considered switching to a dynamic microphone for this reason? Or do you edit the audio?
Bigger the soft box the more soft and evenly spread the light is ,and can also increase the distance between the subject and the light source so that it won't come in the camera FOV
I appreciate this video! I've been hunting for ideas to optimize my workspace without sacrificing style and functionality, and this hit the nail on the head. How you balance an efficient use of space with a non-cluttered, sleek look is truly inspiring. Plus, your recommendations on quality equipment were exactly what I needed to upgrade my setup. It's clear you've put a lot of thought into every detail, and it shows. Thank you for sharing valuable insights and making the quest for the perfect workspace less daunting. Keep up the fantastic work!
Great setup - gives me hope having moved 'studio' from our largest to smallest spare bedroom whilst we sell the house. I also have a sit stand desk but wasn't sure I could get far enough from the camera with a 2nd desk - but it seems possible in your setup. For the autopole - worth looking at Calumet (studio pole) brand (also for super-clamps etc). I was told by a supplier it's a white label brand and Manfrotto are one of the manufacturers - they even have MF serial numbers. I just took a Calumet Studio Pole down today, it had been up in the floor to ceiling position for over 18 months holding up a sound curtain in one direction and a backdrop in the perpendicular direction. Great as it has almost no footprint so can stand behind a door. Just be careful with the tension pressure on a ceiling.
The Manfrotto AutoPole is sick, never knew something like that existed! The quality of your videos never disappoint and I love your color grading, it has a relaxing vibe. Looking forward to watching more videos Jorge!
A couple of great ideas here. I have two more recommendations for you that really helped me in my (identically sized) studio: “wall mounted baby pin” and “neweer wall mount boom arm”. All these, along with the autopole, allow me to not have anything on the floor, apart from the table, which itself is on casters, for maximum flexibility :)
I love the high quality and simplistic looking frame. Great job. Is your Godox COB the only light, that lights your room while filming? (exept from the light bar in the background)
Loved the detail in this video, I think your space limitations actually act as a force multiplier, simple wins! Just one correction, the rode NTG actually produces better sound quality than the pod mic etc (as long as the room is quite with little echo).
Actually wondering how the NTG sound so good in these videos! It’s terrible with reverb from my experience and there seems to be very little sound treatment going on here.
sorry I just came back from watching your a7iv rig video and my 2 cents are as followed: The corner studio set up looks way more professional and DYNAMIC than this new set up you got, it almost seems way way way to flat hens brings down your entire look and feel not to mentioned its seems like if you were recording your 1st video. again go with corner , plus the wood lines actually don't distract at all and they look awesome. all in all good info.
Found the video immensely insightful on yoyr set up of lighting gear and camera. Your explanation about why you chose your furniture and interior design choices lacking as you mentioned you wanted to be memorable but your your slat wall and your new standing desk floating head reveiew set up is like everyone elses. Maybe the company brand you bought isnt grovemade but all these companies are doing the same thing. Still enjoyed the video just was hoping to provide feedback. Keep up the video content!
maybe is too late for the question. I see you camera is a little lower that your eye line, I've seen recommendations for having it line up to it. What are your thoughts?
Love this space mate 🙌 And you inspired me to get an Autopole a few months back, one of the best decisions I’ve made for content creating! Keep up the hard work 🔥
I prefer to let the light spill into the background since I don’t have the space for a second light. Recently I’m been running the ISO at 1600 and lowering the output for a balanced scene, the dark & moody look isn’t for me!
Great vídeo. I have a bigger problem with space and not a lot of budget to change things. One question, where can I get an aviator USB cable without coil?
I have the same light, whats your dim settings? How does it perform in such a small room? I see you dont have mcuh seperation from the back wall, at what height is the camera compared to the desk and how far from the desk? Would you be able to really dim the shot down and have the wall dark? or is the godox light too bright for that?
The plant on the left looks a little bit too dark, well, almost black. With the lighting setup that you already have, I would experiment by reflecting some light into the corner or even having a separate source of (warmer) light directed at the plant. Or maybe just getting a smaller plant in a pot and putting it on your table instead of the background would make it a little bit vivid and lively. Cheers.
Thanks mate! Yes that’s exactly right, I’ve used a couple of lights which produce minimal noise and have much greater outputs and they look ideal for a small studio like mine!
Jorge i really need help with my setup, im pulling my hair out here, just painted my walls a nice grey but my lighting and camera shots look so bad. im using a sony zv e10 4k 24p with the sigma 16mm lense and am going for the table included shot like you have here. as well as the coloring is there a specific camera color profile you use? or is it show RAW with most grading done in post? such an awesome channel you have glad found it!
Hey man, no stress! I would highly recommend setting your lights to daylight (5600K) and setting your WB to an appropriate temperature, this will look a lot more natural. I shoot my videos using SLog3 (SGamut.Cine) and grade the clips using the popular Phantom LUTs as a Rec.709 conversion. The external monitor allows me to preview the footage with the LUT already applied which really helps make sure the footage is exposed correctly too. Appreciate this is all a bit technical but hopefully gives you some direction on how to fix your issues - good luck!
This is perfect, this now gives me a path forward to start researching bit by bit, such a fast reply too, excited to see you and your channel grow!@@JorgePowell
I finally got my setup to a good level now :), there are so many luts in the phantom pack, whats the one you use, so i can have a starting point and then from there i can get exposure and what not correct :) @@JorgePowell

👏🏻 It’s a rare thing to see a space that is both clean and highly functional. This is awesome. Love that Autopole!
Appreciate the kind words mate - it’s a great piece of kit!
I've always struggled with a lack of space and this video was amazing thank you!! Love the AutoPole!!
Yes
Loving this set up! I've never seen the Auto pole before so is definitely looks like a game changer for small spaces!
I just love that Autopole, and also the way you take advantage of the standing desk 😂

Your setup is amazing. Very clean and practical. The use of the standing desk to change the camera height was very intelligent solution

Dude, one word: Professional!
Hello from Bridgend! :) Very nice set up! I will have to look into the Autopole idea.
Shwmae! It’s a great bit of kit, can’t believe it’s not more popular
10/10 optimising space saving super star studio...
thanks for telling me about the autopole all that time ago.
Tremendous thanks! Truly treasure your thoughtful comment 🙏🏼 haha always happy to help
I’m gonna steal your monopod idea!!!
Did you got it? If you have the link share it :)
Great tip in the Autopole
It’s a wicked bit of gear!
Why did video go blurry when talking about soft box till you showed camera stand on desk?

Thanks for autopole recommendation!

Hey Jorge, I enjoyed this video so much. I'm very intrigued by that Autopole. Looking forward to your next video!

Love the video. Super Informative. I was just wondering... what are the dimensions of that new desk?
This is so thoughtful and helpful! Thank you so much for sharing!
I love the color grade what correction luts are you using?

Love the video!. I have a 3,5m on 2,5m office space. I will make a video about is as well ! Love your minimal setup
I have a similar size office space and this hit the mark tysn💫

love the space and how you utilize the amount of space you got. awesome ideas. I gotta try out that auto pole
It's honestly so good, 100% recommend for smaller spaces!

What tipe of spigot adapter you use for the cob lamp?
Great tips. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jorge, what tripod head and mini desk tripod are you using here to mount the camera/autocue onto?
Looks nice, Gorge!
Hello! Love your content. I have a question
6:16. Can you please explain further? Do you mean that Godox SL60W is loud and not bright enough?
Thanks mate! Yes that’s exactly right, I’ve used a couple of lights which produce minimal noise and have much greater outputs and they look ideal for a small studio like mine!
Can you talk about your teleprompter? I did not catch the brand and make.
Greetings, Are you Still Using Autopoles?
What is the name of the clamp used to hang the light?
Another great video and a great setup
Thank you bro 🙏🏼
I loved this 😭
What chair are you sitting on?

Great video!
Such a great video thank you!
super insightful
Nice workspace
Curious what brand is that chair?
thank you for content
What's the focal length for that lens?
nice setup
That’s funny I was just talking to the wife about using a truck cargo bar which literally looks just like the autopole
Great video and cool ideas! Those socks though :| :D
great content
1/ how you find great background sounds
2/ how you watch & set the scripts.
Great setup...
Thanks mate!
People have go-to paint brands?
Are you shouting in 4k or 1080p?
I AM SHOUTING AT 4K 25P, THANKS FOR WATCHING!
I liked your shirt

headroom , make me feel little bit stuck, hard to breath
Уровень. Такого продакшен
Looks like a small studio for a small fortune 😢
3x2 m isn’t that small.
My podcast room is 0.9x2m. It’s a closet 😂
That soft box would barely find its place.
WTF??? That AutoPole is 15 thousand dollars!!!!
It’s around 200€, so I don’t think so 😅
Look for a sturdy shower pole or something you can screw into the wall if you can do that
I’m going to try 2PK Support Pole, Steel Telescopic Adjustable 3rd Hand Support System
Huh? I found one for $163 USD
Stainless Steel Extendable Telescopic Curtain Rod Tension Pole Net Voile Shower Curtains Rail (150-260cm) is enough
Ooooh gear and desk porn! Great video even though i now have serious shiny object syndrome
Desk. A plain simple desk for about $900.
Yeah why not. Let me liquidate my FD real quick !
Your background is so close. Looks not ok
I thought you will show a nice looking scene you came up with at at the end of the video, but the boring setup was the final one... 😲
Bro a table 900$ wtf
Where did you get that grey concrete vinyl from? That looks sick on your desktop!
I think I found it in B&Q, it's been pretty solid aside from the stability issues!
