Nature thriving , great footage along the way and just the birds singing ! Very busy as you head south with few moorings . Always a joy to watch as you meander the cut and useful info 😊
Hi guys shame that the mooring was taken by the golf course it's brilliant there I bet Will would like watching the golfers 4. Oh No that's Cricket 🤭 you both did well as 12 miles takes me 3 days 🙄
Hi Diane & Josh. Great to see you trundling along my section of "home" canal by Pigeons Lock (No.39). It's always busy with moored boats around there as it's the nearest point to Tackley, where I used to live. To help with Josh's query about why the River Cherwell (in Oxfordshire, it's pronounced Charwell): the Cherwell floods frequently with fast-flowing water and there was a mill at Pigeons Lock (Flights Mill). Maybe the canal was built along that section to avoid the flood risks, although it still is a common problem at Nell Bridge to Aynho and again from Bakers Lock to Shipton Lock; and there's a gate on the canal by Shipton Village (Bridge No.220) to protect the Thrupp straight section, which itself used to be a mill race, hence the sharp turn by Aubrey's Lift Bridge.
That's interesting Adrian. I will pass the information onto Josh. Shame we didn't see you. We did look out for you when we passed Cropredy marina. Or should I say we looked for Lady Hannah but didn't see her. ❤😊
We did have another channel called Taylors Aboard a camp van but sadly the campervan isn't around anymore needs too much work doing to it and we have spent thousands on it and can't afford to put anymore money into it.
If you'd like to support us, to help pay for coal, diesel, etc. You can buy us a coffee here, Thank you - www.buymeacoffee.com/TaylorAboard

It's a bot annoying Janice as I packed all my winter stuff away under my bed. Still waiting for the sunshine 🌞. Surely it should come soon.😊
