Hiya Mark, as you already know, screw BB2 is in Bag B (BB), the 3mm nut BC1 is in Bag C (BC) and so on.. BR (Rod Bag), BH (Hardware Bag).... The letters tell what bag. Ah Yes, Don't ever forget those 3mm nuts in the cases (unless your putting on 4 link bars). Such a great start dude!!!! I would say your half done other than the body.. Have a great weekend my friend, ATB to all!!!! Here if ya need me.

Hiya Brother Bob! I'm lucky to have you covering my back and sending such sage advice! Man, I'd never have worked out those part and bag numbers, they should tell you that in the build manual!!! Yeah, I thought I was about half done, lots of repetition on this build though! 8 shocks to do! A smashing weekend to you too, mate, many, many thanks again and cheers for sending those parts!

@@MarkBryanRC Hey Dude, that's why we are all here, show casing & help!!! I remember the bag steps from my early Tamiya kits (they did mention those bag letters back then) they also showed the hardware to scale on the headers (your beetle should have been that way). Yes sir, 8 "shocks" but they build super fast (not like the TXT-2). As for those extra bits, brother you are so welcome (Rob Too), Your help to me is priceless as is your friendship, I kind of had to do my part for planting the idea in some ones head. Evening Mr Bryan!
    Everyone loves a Clod! 😍
Another superbly presented video matey, I'm guessing this will be a great help to less experienced builders.... the detail is very comprehensive. 👌
Knowing you it must have been very hard saying 'brass balls' and 'flange nuts' so many times without a cheaky giggle! (good job Rob wasn't there!) 🤣
Looking forward to building mine, still not sure what route I'm going yet..... been looking at the aluminium and carbon 'frame chassis' and servo on axle steering mods available from the clod shop.
So many upgrades available, unfortunately it's starts getting very expensive so will probably be a project for when finances are a little better! I'm a tad concerned that the stock ABS plastics won't last too long the way our trucks get run so these upgrades could work a treat!
    🤣
Regarding the screw bags, I seem to remember this is the way Tamiya used to do it back in the day? But I may be wrong, the eighties were a long time ago!
Can't wait for the next instalments bud, and really looking forward to the running videos.... These things are a delight to watch!
    👍 👍 👍 👍

    • @MarkBryanRC
      @MarkBryanRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hiya mate! Glad you thought it was detailed, I try to make these videos so you could build along without a manual, well, that's my thinking anyway!
Yeah I did struggle with the balls and nuts double entendres! :P
These Clods sure can become expensive if you go the upgrade route so I'm staying stock(ish) with mine. Lets see if I break it! I don't intend to do anything crazy when running it anyway... but this is me and I know I often get carried away! Fingers crossed!
The 80's are a blur to me, too... so many beers ago!
Thanks for the kind words, buddy, all the best from me! 😉🙏👍

Cheers, Brian! Yes, I did paint the body and it came out pretty good. If you are interested you can see it here: th-cam.com/video/RdAGDbL37mA/w-d-xo.html

If using two servos do I do both the same time or one at a time?

    • @MarkBryanRC

I think the only way to fit 2 servos is to fit one on each axle so that would be one at a time! 😎👍

Asking for part numbers or links to purchase the not included items that are needed or or upgrades that work

I think the only parts I upgraded were the metal bearings. I got them from rcbearings.co.uk

@@IowaBudgetRCBashers Hi Thad, something crazy is going on, you put it together the same but your dogbone end e clip is not flush against the bearing like mine is. I think the e clip on the gearbox end must be in the wrong slot, other than that your kit must have come with wrong sized axle tubes!!!!!!
