Yep. I sure do pal! I remember learning a harmony part to an original tune of yours. To bad we didn't have a recorder running. Thx for the comment Dale. I miss you
You have great tone brother! Lots of detailed info here. Do you have a video on the mandolin kick-off / break of Nashville Bluegrass Band's Mike Compton's "Gospel Plow"? Or can you do a quick breakdown on the How To?
Really great material, and awesome of you to point towards some examples to reinforce the learning! Thank you for sharing your wisdom, these are inspiring lessons
Thanks Wayne moving forward sometimes I feel like I'm blocked just trying not to over think things and just let my hands do it practicing this all week
I know what you're saying for sure. If you practice these fills enough they really can evolve into muscle memory. You'll get to the point that you could "play it in your sleep" as they say. Good luck!
Of course I could be wrong, but I’ve always heard the Manzanita Album version of “I hope You Have Learned” as hitting that 4 chord as a band. At least the bass does which always led us to playing it. Still, Great video!
I love Meadow Green Park and have so many great memories of playing there (1st time in 1993). Hats off to Ricky Wasson for doin what it takes to keep a venue like that runnin. I am very blessed in the mandolin department.
Sam Bush- Sailin' Shoes. You are the man Wayne!
Congrats Max! You're the first to win a Wayne's World of Mandolin case sticker. Email me your address and I'll get that in the mail to you pal.
