I miss TheOtherFrost for this. He would get really deep into niche Smite mechanics. A lot of his knowledge was incredibly obscure, but having little nuggets of information like that would allow you to eek out success in some micro interactions.
Surprised absolution didn’t get a mention here. It’s definitely more god-specific but tanks that proc it reliably (think quick big circle ults like Nike/Bacchus/Terra) suddenly get the option to completely shut down either a big teamfight cc or a single lethal hard cc combo like Nezha sash+ult

@@ans-dq9xh you’re right I don’t missed that, on the other hand, I do miss the anti power aura items because they were useful and made sense.
I wish they'd bring nemean back as Blademail in dota.
Passive deflect the same for all damage, and then active for deflect all damage for 6 seconds. It's suuuuch a fun item and can always be valid to build in a game against lots of burst
And then the ADC or mage has to think before just left clicking/rolling face on keyboard and can pay for doing so ineffectively
Stone of gaia is the most underrated item ever, if you’re a tank with no healing built into your kit this item will keep you in fights and save your life with its passive.
Tainted steal is my pick when its antiheal. On solo, I usually build to buff one specific stat among the tankyness, like AA or CR. And having an antiheal item just ruins it. Meanwhile tainted steal gives te protection to survive early and does incredible job as an antiheal item. Support is more flexible, so pestilence comes fast.
Still think taintes ruined early game .
Even with tainted you don't ingage a healing bot once he is stacked . But i do agree it can help .
Tainted have very good late game items but the lack of mp5 is horrible .

If we’re talking about counter-builds…
I need to pitch in with something niche:
*_Countering MOTD unlimited Invisibility._*
Loki, Ao Kuang, Izanami, The Morrigain, Nu Wa (Her invisibility is just the side soup/salad compared to her clay soldiers and ult I’m these cases), etc…
At 75-80% CDR, these and other gods can sustain a nigh-permanent level of invisibility, and can be INFURIATING to contend against if unprepared. Luckily, you have options:
⚪️Universally, all gods should have access to at least a few items and relics to buy that can spot or even stop an invisible player dead: Abyssal Stone, Mystical Mail, Entangling Wings, Thorns, Sundering siphon (unless they move out of the way), Cloak of the Avatar (IF they’re suicidal enough to close the distance), Aegis of Judgment, The Crusher, Arondight, Runeforged Hammer (in tandem with CC causing abilities, items or relics), Contagion and Divine ruin (Only if healing is involved), Mantle of Discord (If in range of it’s stun), and Odysseus’s Bow… These will all either disrupt their ability or it’s cooldown, hit them with a CC that’ll put them or cancel their invisibility, or apply damage or an effect that’ll momentarily tag them. Also, the Magi glyphs are also a decent idea (At least against Kuang and Loki and their Ults.)
⚪️Meanwhile some Gods have better tailored odds and ends to thwart invis: Jorm and Heimdaller can straight up see the invisible rather easily, while other gods have passives and abilities that act like some the above mentioned items. DOT is especially valuable, as the delayed damage tics stop them from reapplying their invisibility. Kuzenbo in particular is a downright troll when you figure out what items pair with his shell spikes well, and at high CDR can be applied constantly without ever expiring (I personally like Abyssal Stone, Soul Gem, Calamitous ROT, Mystical Mail, Sundering Axe and 1 last item of choice… Drives Nu away players NUTS when you bounce back their own ult’s worth of damage on them while remotely crippling their CD.)

Oh yeah, when you play Omnipotence or All Out Assault 2.0 and people pick Stealth Gods like Loki (or worse, when you play such MOTDs and the enemy team gets them _randomly),_ it’s a headache.
And if you’ve never heard of it, that’s because most people don’t think on how to counter it and just take unneeded punishment.

Horrific and Frostbound are also anti auto attack items
War Banner and Talisman are also good for multiple auto attackers or good for low mobility team who can benefit from movement speed

stone of gaia’s one situation is when you’ve almost capped protections before your last item and already have cooldown to skimper into the back line to heal
anti AA item no one talks about is toxic blade. thats a massive AAS shift in your favour

It’s crazy how you don’t realize what some items are till you see their pictures up close thought pestilence was a helmet for the longest time
I love sometimes picking tainted still as a mid, that anti heal can realy help at the beggining
I've tried midguardian mail against AA gods and it doesn't seem to help much unless you're trying to escape them and they haven't CC'd you. I think I've had better luck with Phalanx and Berserk's shield since they give you HP5, bonus prots or mitigations, and atk speed of your own to help fight back.
its not something you really see working, its like toxic blade and they go super good together if youre a solo/jungler fighting someone like bellona ama merc bakasura kali, 53% auto attack speed decrease from those 2 items means they cant do anything and will either run or die
@@imgonnacream If you have to build both items then you're probably making yourself weaker against other gods on the enemy team. Especially since solos don't usually get relic dagger.

random question but whats the thoughts on heals not scaling off power?
Gem of iso is hugely underrated , the only slow item for mages
I always felt that the old Gem of Iso was an underrated item considering how effective certain mages can maintain the slow effect, but somehow the new Gem of Iso with the additional shielding aspect still doesn't make it a very attractive item. I feel like reverting the change to the slow passive and keeping the anti-shielding aspect would result in fairly decent item
old gem of iso was very unhealthy for the game. not because it was broken but because of how unfun it was to go against. just like old frostbound. the changes made were good changes and should not be reverted.

Old nemean (Thorns, not the blocks one)
I came back to Smite like a month ago after not playing for years, and the first thing I looked for was Hide of the Nemean Lion. It was the only item I memorized the name and what it did and they removed it.
What gods/ comp do you recommend building magi's against as a jungler? I always have trouble deciding if I need magi's against anyone other than a ne zha 😂
Kinda hard to give a full list of Gods as it depends if they're actually giving you trouble or not in that match. But as a general rule: If you're dying to one big CC every fight before even getting damage out, Magis will help.

@@tomorchard6660The whole point of counter building is buying items to, well, counter. So if we see you with an item that gives you 350 Health and no prots, then yes, Soul Reaver, Heartseeker and Qins are the way to go, regardless of the items’ popularity. Since Gaia has no prots, all 3 of those items would essentially proc on you with extra unmitigated damage. Therefore, you were countered.
The whole “who uses Qin’s anyways” point is null.
And I’m pretty sure with 5 people in the enemy team, there’s a guaranteed chance you’ll receive damaging abilities that proc those items. Crazy to think the opposite tbh, wouldn’t you say?

If you can fit it, and gave issues with a healing heavy team I would but, that's coming from a support mains mind. So you might wanna get an opinion from a hunter/assassin playet

I don't like the soda can thor skin . It makes so much harder to read his animations . You can just roll and 2 for free through the jungler . If you do not have him in sight he can just hide so easily

toxic blade isnt built on hunters and ive never seen it been built on them once, its supposed to be a 1v1 item or if youre diving someone else like a kali erlang merc baka or any AA solo/jungle. it also gives 36% attack speed, 15 pen and 7% movement speed (which is super underrated) and i build it in any game where i need to out auto attack someone
I was gonna say just this. Toxic blade is an AA solo or jungler item, not a hunter item. Kali, baka, arachne, wrlang, ect do get some massive value out of this item. Not just for the anti healing but its also old ichvail, stealing attack speed for yourself makes it even easier to box

I may be a console player but i understand very well this things but i not buy everything is mentioned because wouldn't fit in my play style
Also, many people's say pestilence and contagion doesn't stack? Yes you're right but the Anti-heal itself stack. If you build like a Example: Tainted Breastplate, Pestilence and Divine Ruin.
With this three items itself you literally reduce the healing of the enemy just because you have three strong anti heal items
Divine Ruin reduces 40%
Tainted Breastplate reduce 50%
Pestilence reduces 25%
All with this three's items online in a late game, every hit you did against the enemy god and near to them you take literally: 115% of healing.
Absurd isn't it?

pestilence is 60% anti heal
They stated a few updates ago the max you can be anti healed is 80% unless you ah puch he can do 100%
