- 2013 Yamaha Zuma 50cc was in storage for over 3 years. Replace dead battery, scooter started but did not run. Did a easy fix, didn't have to do engine tear down.

Nothing stops mine from running or speeding up while on the back kick stand. Once we put it on the tires, it will not go. Constantly dies.
Way to go, I m on my 3rd 50 cc scooter wear them out driving around and I m 80 year s old

My moped is full fcked. I start it and then about 15 seconds later it stalls. And when I try and put throttle to it . It stalls quicker
@Daddy Savage I ended up getting a new scooter. I start it up every day coz I don’t want to make the same mistake by leaving it in the shed for months
Sounds like it needs a valve adjustment
So all's you did was buy carburator cleaner & sprayed it in the air filter & it worked?
I have a 80 cc elite and I can go 50
It works really well for small engines. I have a craftsman lawnmower. If I spray the carburetor after I’m done, it will start with a half a pull the next time I use it. Doesn’t matter one week, two weeks, etc. if I don’t spray the carburetor-20 pulls. 30 pulls. Hard to start.

I just bought a scooter and it won’t stay on. I figured it was just a dead battery, the seller told me it’s been sitting for about 2 years. I figured the gas was stale and the battery was no good, but I’ll definitely try this when I have a free day to work on the scooter

@@NBaa2123 dirty carb. Had a mechanic come take a look fixed it all for about $100. I noticed I wasn’t getting any vacuumed pressure from the tank to the carb. I gave up on fixing it myself.
My scooters brand new with 40 miles on it..its already stalling electronic fuel injection 1600 dollar piece of crap...dont get the vitacci clash 200...unless you like being frustrated
Our tao tao 150 runs great while jacked up on the main kickstand, but when we try to ride it ,it dies. Will not stay running.
I see that after you fix it and you start it, the back wheel is spinning. I have a problem with my Uber Scoot 49x 2 Stroke, when I start it, and it's just parked, the back wheel runs at full throttle. Essentially I cannot safely turn on the scooter without max holding the brake. If I max hold the break, the scooter shuts off.
Ive check the intake screw, throttle screw, and the throttle cable as well but everything seems to be in order.
Mine starts up it stays on but soon as I hit the throttle it cuts off
Drain out the old gas, fill it up with new gas, if air fitter as dirty get new one, also spray carb cleaner inside air intake like he did in video, do that a few times, do a new oil change, maybe buy a new battery old battery can cause that problem too,
It’s a Zuma that will work killer. The Chinese ones fall apart way faster.
Was wondering if i can get that kind of spray i tried choking the hose thing it takes a time to start doing that but won’t stay running then gotta keep trying to restart i checked the filter thing and replaced the spark plug still nothing i can barely ride it without it dying

I recently got a tao Tao 50cc scooter, it started perfect; now it’s been about 2 -3 months since I got it and it will start, then shut off, no matter what I did. I tried to start it, then rev it, and it would stop. It works after like 5 minutes of trying, but when I get to a full stop, it somtimes shuts off. Should I do what you did in the video you think or are you not sure?
Not sure if it will work. If your scooter is new, you shouldn’t that problem. The cleaner just help with stuck valve, from scooter sitting to long in storage. My old 1986 Honda Elite 150cc got it started and runs.
@@Xonster idk, maybe it just came with a shitty battery or somthing. The lights were also flickering, so it might have to do with the battery
@@brockstremmell2583 I would check: fuel to see if water is mix in, fuel line, throttle cable and adjust idler. Yes check battery, and check to see any expose wires. I read some reviews on this brand not that great. Some have the same problems you have. Hope it help.
Do you think WD-40 would work if I don’t have the choke cleaner?
WD40 state that Penetrates to free stuck valves. It may work.

Great vid! So my 2012 Yamaha Zuma 50 starts ok but its stalling when I try to accelerate and now won’t go faster than 20mph. Do you think spraying this choke cleaner will clean out the injectors? It sat in my garage for 3 years and just tried driving it this summer. Crazy thing is the first time I drove it 2 weeks ago it drove normal and fast but yesterday it just started doing this stalling thing. Appreciate the advice. Thanks!
I would try to see if it works, then check fuel line, air filters, throttle cable, or gas may be stale u can try fuel cleaner or additive. If it still doesn't work I would try remove all the gas, replace with new one.
If still doesn’t work I would take it to the shop. Hope that helps.
@@Xonster Really appreciate the reply and advice. So I decided to take it into the shop. Got an appt. Thursday. They think my injectors are dirty from it sitting to long.
Another quick question. Any idea how to remove the governor? I’d like it go like 5mph faster. I can hit 45 but then the governor stops it from going past that. Also do you think it would damage the motor with the governor off? Thanks!
I have another problem my scooter turns on Right away but you cant stop it, what shouls i do help 😬
