Hey guys, I feel like these videos don't garner as much interest as some other videos about machining or woodworking. Is it too deep into electronics? Is it too far away from the original content of the channel? Should I continue to make such videos?
Thank you Dmitri for these amazing videos. I also came up with an Altivar 11 VFD. My display is "rdy". So, I think it's still ok. But, when I try to run it, therr is no 220v 3 phase supply coming out from the vfd. Can you show me the setting on the VFD its relative pin out for switch button and speed control? Thank you, man!
Hey, thanks 🙏 if it's showing RDY it's probably ok. You are trying to measure it open terminal with a meter or with a motor connected to it? Open terminal it won't switch on. The digram of the wiring is in the "lathe VFD" video towards the end of the video. You can see there how i connected everything.
@@DmitriIvanov It's with a connected motor. The wiring connections at the end of your video really did help me a lot. My problem was that the VFD's forward pin isn't working. So, I tried the reverse pin, the motor did run reverse. So, I just reverse the terminal to the motor to have a forward direction. Now, it's working fine. Thanks to you man! Your videos are really amazing. Is there a way to have the forward pin 8 to work again, or some reset to be done?
@@jayrandolfratunil2369 great to hear. Check if the pin is physically connected to the PCB still (multimeter). Maybe the little connection terminal block is damaged a bit and you're not making connection anymore. There really shouldn't be any reason this input is electrically damaged unless somebody put a voltage there that's far out of spec. Good luck 🤞
Sir can you change 3 phase input vfd to run on a single phase input supply ? Can we just change the input from 3 phase supply to single phase but the output must be the same .Is that Possible ?
The video is so helpful and I wish you could show how you test the power ic on this video. If you have the time please do one video on how to repair single phase to 3 phase vfd please 🥺
Did you measure only the capacitance of electrolytics? The ESR of these caps get high when they dry up and that's why the circuit fails.. So, even though they measure correctly in farads, in ohms they are higher than normal

Well, speaking for myself, I really liked the video :)
It's very good video bro
You are the best!... i wish i could be your student
Hello sir , i want to know how you check big ac drive with small motor , or you have any dummy load thanks in advance

Unfortunately I have nothing to measure impedance at home. But yes, you're completely right!
There is not much videos in English on TH-cam
