This will definitely help people! When we did a split stay a few years ago, there wasn’t a lot of content on how to do it. So we winged it. This is great!!
I bring multiple reusable grocery bags for our resort moves. That way, I can split refrigerated and regular items and they are lighter. I also use Whole Foods refrigerated bags that have a zipper. Everything stays colder for the moves and the zipper prevents things from getting lost.
I just wanted to say that I love your vlogs and I don't even have kids (though I do have a niece and nephew)! I go to WDW 2-3 times a year and your tips like checking the Genie+ times within the first hour to determine whether or not to buy are just exceptional. And I love living vicariously through your trips while I wait for my next one.
Thanks for doing this video! Doing a split stay for the first time in August, Pop and Coronado. First time at both resorts. It will be me and my autistic son. The Minnie van looks like the way to go! We will also have groceries. I have never used Uber, Lyft, or a taxi😲 Where do you go on the Disney app to order the van and how do you pay for it? Do you tip and how much? Thanks so much😊💐👍🏰😊
If you don’t do a Minnie van, can you just do a regular lyft? Or does the Minnie van come with something extra? Also- did you schedule it on the lyft app?
Thank you for this guide! I am traveling to Disney next week and we are doing a split stay. I've been looking for information on the best way to move to the next resort but only found limited info. This was perfect! I too hate being away from my luggage so we will be using a Minnie Van for sure 🙂
Here’s me watching your video the night before switching resorts, eating a pepperoni flatbread after a long afternoon and night at the pool while my room is a total disaster and I have no willpower to pack! 🤣💗
Hi Bekah! I love your Disney videos. We have just started doing the split stays. One question.. what do you think is an appropriate tip for bell services to store your luggage and then deliver to your room? Often one cast member unloads the luggage from the car or Minnie van and a different one brings it to your room. So what would you say would be an appropriate tip for 5 items… luggage and assorted bags? Thanks in advance!
As you stated Disney will transfer luggage and groceries, but will not transfer perishables (cold or frozen foods). ALL LUGGAGE & GROCERIES, MUST BE AT BELL SERVICES BEFORE 11:00 am the day of the transfer.
Hi Bekah 😃 What if I don’t need car seats and I just think Minnie Vans are cute and want to ride in one 😋 Will they move car seat to the back for my party of 6? Or- cannot accommodate? Seen this done before??
we love split stays...but no matter what I find them STRESSFUL on transfer day! we NEVER get lucky for our room to be ready early...there is always a solid 3 hours just WAITING for our room to be ready. We also use Minnie vans to transfer luggage!
I get it! Not everyone is a fan of that resort switch day 🤪 I always plan on a 3PM check-in and schedule park time or pool time so we’re not just waiting around for our room 👌🏼
You could also pack a bag with essentials and groceries. And take free transportation to disney springs then to resort and have disney move your other stuff. Takes longer, but it's free
Such good information!! We plan to do a split stay in Sept! I may very well be utilizing the Minnie van services for our switch day! Thanks for sharing!!
Sorry if this is too personal, but trying to figure out the logistics of how you did this so seamlessly, was your daughter with you when you made all those trips back and forth between your third floor room and your Minnie van? I’m sure she must have been and not left with the driver. But if not, for our family, we will have to factor in more time. Thank you!
@@BekahHart that’s what I thought 😊. One and half hours is actually amazing! It would have taken me an hour just to go up those flights of stairs repeatedly lol
Curious, what is the point of a split stay? Just to experience multiple resorts? It seems like an unnecessary hassle to me, but maybe I’m just missing something! Love your content
Everyone has different reasons for doing split stays ☺️ One reason is that a family may have a value resort budget and want to experience a deluxe resort for 1 night. Or to simply experience 2 resorts they can’t decide between ☺️
Did the stroller tray work well? We still haven't completely solved the problem of finding a surface for our snack items as we are making a way around World Showcase. This seems great (if the tray actually holds in place and works)
Thanks for this! Would love to know how to add tickets if we book our room through the DVC rental company. Do we buy just the tickets through Disney? Thinking about a split stay as well!
We call quiet time “SLOB time”…Silently Laying On Bed time”. My kids picked that term up at church camp many years ago and it’s what we still call it for the grandkids. Napping is optional…sometimes it happens and sometimes not.😁
When its 2:30am and you cant sleep so you binge as you leave in 2 1/2 weeks 😂

So happy I can be a helpful resource! ☺️

That’s great! The reusable grocery bags also work perfect as a “catch all” bag on that transfer day for souvenirs, etc. ☺️

Love a split stay
Loved seeing the transfer process in more detail and the pros and cons of the travel to the new room thank you!
Absolutely! So glad this was helpful ☺️

I loved those yogurts for my toddler! I got them as a sample on thrive and it’s nice to not have to worry about things staying cold lol
Yes! 👏🏼 They’re perfect for when you only have a beverage cooler in your room 👌🏼
Pro tip store your lunch bag in the fridge to keep the interior cold so the ice pack doesn't jane to cool down the bag also
Good morning Bekah happy Thursday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Thank you!

Yay! Always happy to provide helpful info!! ☺️ Yes, Minnie Van is the way to go in my opinion 🙌🏼
Thank you! I needed this video so much for a split stay in July.
Happy to help! ☺️
As always, such GREAT info!!! ❤🏰🌐🥳

Correct. That was mentioned in the video ☺️

Will they move car seat to the back for my party of 6? Or- cannot accommodate? Seen this done before??
All car seats are kept in the trunk, and only installed if you need them ☺️ Or course anyone without kids can use a Minnie van! 🙌🏼

Using a Minnie van makes alllll the difference with a split stay 🙌🏼❤️

Not at all! Yes, she stayed with me for all the trips up and down the stairs ☺️ It did slow me down a little haha, but there was no other option 🤪
@@BekahHart that’s what I thought 😊. One and half hours is actually amazing! It would have taken me an hour just to go up those flights of stairs repeatedly lol

Sometimes also a discount starts middle of your trip but doesn’t apply to your one resort, you can switch to another where it will 😊
Bekah! Where did you get the stroller cup holder tray!! I can't find this one on amazon, ahh! SOS!
lol nvm i'm an idiot and just found it linked in the description
Is it expected to tip the bell staff?
We have just booked for next year x can't wait
So exciting! 🥳
Did the stroller tray work well? We still haven't completely solved the problem of finding a surface for our snack items as we are making a way around World Showcase. This seems great (if the tray actually holds in place and works)
It worked great!! You do need a sturdy stroller cup holder for it to attach to though 👌🏼
Do you have a link for the stroller tray? @@BekahHart
Thanks for this! Would love to know how to add tickets if we book our room through the DVC rental company. Do we buy just the tickets through Disney? Thinking about a split stay as well!
Yes, you would simply purchase tickets through the Disney website ☺️
Thanks Bekah! Question, where do you pack the dirty clothes from the 1st 2 days of the trip?
I typically just use the mesh pocket in my suitcase for dirty clothes ☺️
Does the minnie driver help with luggage?
9 times out of 10, yes! ☺️ On this particular ride, my driver was not able to pick up my bags, so I had to load my luggage 🙃
Love your videos
I hope
We can get to Disney this autumn!!!!
How did you end up liking your rental stroller
Which model did you get
Thank you so much!!! I rented a City Mini GT2, and I was not a fan 🥲 I missed my compact travel stroller haha.
We call quiet time “SLOB time”…Silently Laying On Bed time”. My kids picked that term up at church camp many years ago and it’s what we still call it for the grandkids. Napping is optional…sometimes it happens and sometimes not.😁
I love that 😂😂
Great video
Thank you!
Where did you get the stroller tray?
Amazon! I have it linked in the description box 🥰
Do you still have to have park reservations?
Annual passholders still do 🥲
I find that Lyft is the way to go. Much cheaper than a MinnieVan and cheaper than Uber.
Absolutely! It’s a great option if you don’t need car seats 👌🏼 Minnie Van is nice if you have littles.
@@BekahHartthank you because I was going to ask the difference. 👍🏻
Car seats ☑️
I can't see myself paying $40 for a Minnie van when I can get one for $10.
Absolutely! If you don’t need a car seat, it opens up other options ☺️
@@BekahHart all our savings while at Disney are expressed in terms of Mickey bars. 😂 Like "with that savings I can buy almost four Mickey bars!"
@@jennybarker6739 I love that 😂
