**Leatherman Premium Multitool Comparison. I put alot of effort into this one. Which is the best Premium multitool? Does the arc win? What are your thoughts!
I have a wave plus I use at work everyday as an electrician. I want an Arc mainly because of the outside opening tools. Gets annoying opening the pliers all the time to get at tools
Charge tti+ and Arc owner now. I used Charges crimper for pulling a nail out. The head was so deep in that you couldn't fit anything other then the ring of the crimper. Sounds like a movie but I isn't. Anyways I'm taking the arc to work now. In the Charge nylon sheath. Don't like the grey one. Too flashy, too big. I'll miss the almighty gut hook to rip through zip ties and plastic package straps. And the custom titanium scales I did. If you buy the arc, get a onethou resin bonded diamond stone, 4-1micron dia compounds and a smooth leather strop. Because this thing didn't came sharp. 4 nicks, burr in the middle. Wouldn't even shave hair. Ayo c'mon #Leatherman get yo shit together it's 300€. Not every one can sharpen knives. Poor bastards
@@appleztoorangesThey absolutely are not better than the arc. Its easier to carry, easier to use, easier to manipulate, Im not getting pinched, the clip doesn’t get snagged. The fit and finish is just better. Its just plain better, but it costs more. Totally worth it.
I'm taking a Charge over the Arc all day. My Arc came with a severely unfinished edge and the frame flexes and twists like an Ozark Trail when I grip bolts or turn faucets with the plier
Blasphemy! Ti>G10! 🙂The Arc is the evolution of Leatherman's premium tool, the Charge (Ti) is the last generation's premium tool. I got the Arc today, but can tell you already the 3 year old Charge has a sharper blade right now than the Arc does out of the box and the handles are more comfortable. The Surge should have also been included, as it is the beast of the Leatherman line. The Wave should have been mentioned as the best seller. Obviously just my not so humble opinion. Thanks for the review!
The grey sheath is larger. I'm carrying the arc in the Charge nylon sheath. Fits tighly and after 4 years it still looks okay for EDC construction site
I think it's amazing that Leatherman's biggest competition is itself. Win/Win for them. I realize there's other good competition out there, but most all the reviews I've seen compare the Arc to other Leathermans.
**Forgot to mention in video thickness and width. Arc thickness is 0.68 inches x 1.30 inches wide, charge + orange thickness is 0.75 inches x 1.20 inches wide, and charge tti is 0.76 inches x 1.20 inches. Arc is the thinnest of the three multitools
My Arc came with a seriously unfinished blade (dull and the edge felt crazy rough on a fingernail) and the frame flexes and twists like a weak spring when I grip and turn things with the pliers

One handed everything is also a huge plus for work

The Surge, Charge and Wave are still king.
Agreed. Their just not considered “premium” by leatherman because of just having 420 hc blade instead of s30v or magnacut

@@dualsportedc sorry to hear man
To me the best tool Leatherman came out with was the Charge Earth G10. But still the Surge is King for heavy duty do all multi tool
Agreed!
I have the Arc for EDC, the Surge for heavy duty and the squirt for hard to get to places. I lost my Wave + and I don't miss it.

Haha no worries and no problems. Thanks for the comment

Could you make a video testing the strike surface? I’d like to see how it does for hammering nails and whatever else you can think of.

Yeah I did one video versing it to the victorinox spirit x.
Great comparison video! Though,I would like to know the thickness of each with and without their pocket clips.
My bad. I forgot about that. I’ll mention it in the comments when I get back tomorrow
Awesome, thank you!
I wonder if the arc would look good with a coarse sandblast for a finish on the handles to give it some grip

Sorry to hear that.
Why you compare one tool to two of the same tools. An arc with two charges?
Should do surge and wave.
I have
it’s just a p4 without a serrated blade and less tools
Did you buy one?
magacut is not superior to s30v.
According to knife nerds it is
