    To get that bolt out, drop a nut ever the top of it and fill the bolt and the nut with weld. You’ll want to remove it pretty fast so the aluminum hub doesn’t heat up too much. You might could just weld another bolt to the one that’s stripped instead. I’ve done this on a lot of these stripped bolts and broken bolts as well. Just make sure your inside nut diameter is smaller than what you’re trying to get out so it doesn’t weld to what it’s broken off into.

    probably have fixed the issues but i had similar ones with my kart. Use threadlocker on the sprocket hub and stick more washers. If possible, try and shift the engine to the other side so the sprocket is more central. Also, the brake caliper is a floating caliper so you should use the mount that came with it because the caliper is supposed to move side to side. If you dont want to do that, just remove the set screws from your brake rotor.

    • @VasilyBuilds
      @VasilyBuilds  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dang I did not know it supposed to be floating. The mount looked kind of jenky to me. As for the hub, alot of people leave reviews saying they cant get them tight. SO i got two lock collars and sandwiched the hub. Thanks for the advice President Kim !!!

      Maybe he should rename the channel to "Vasily Wings it", or "Vasily Builds Accidentally". LOL, jk. Yes it is a floating caliper, in much the same way that auto calipers are floating or semi-floating.

    2 questions 1: So the less amout of teeth on the sprocket the faster? Like so if I get a 40tooth one is it faster then the 53tooth and also please give a link to that 53tooth one 2: my axle like it's a 1 wheel peel so at the left side the wheel spins freely if I get a live axle hub will it be fully live please let me know thank you. Sorry I don't know much I just have a few questions

    • @VasilyBuilds
      @VasilyBuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Theres a difference between the drive and driven sprocket. On the driven an increase in teeth will equal more accelaration but less top speed. On the drive a decrease in teeth will do the same

    I dont get how your clutch locks up so well that you can still drift. Im running 12-60 and 13s and its not liking it, off road it wont even lock up. Perhaps me and the cart are too heavy, i am a bit bigger and as is the kart. Im probably going to a torque converter

    • @Hjerte_Verke
      @Hjerte_Verke 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They suck too! No kart racers use them. They're for off-road use, mainly, because that's where they shine. They rob power too; there's power loss within the mechanism (V-belts are less efficient than chains) and parasitic drag just because of the mass of pulleys and belts. Plus they're heavy.

  • @brapperdan
    @brapperdan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I bought that same brake and sprocket hub for my 2 stroke go kart build. the brake works like shit, or should I say it barely works, and my sprocket hub wiggles also even without the stripped bolt. pretty disappointed. keep throwing chains.

    • @Hjerte_Verke
      @Hjerte_Verke 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Torque Converters are great for offroad karts and for going up hills where you need a lower gear ratio and more bottom end torque, but they are awful for street karts and actually rob top speed from you. They create a lot of parasitic drag too.
