Nice review. I think picking the best pics out of a 4K video is really useful for shooting wildlife. Have you estimated how long the battery would last for 4K video?
I have never extracted a picture from a 4k video and am unsure what the shutter speed ideally is while shooting video. The way I see it, the advantage of doing a 4k burst on a bright day would be that one can use pretty fast shutter speeds like upwards of 1/640 or 1/1000 of a second to freeze motion while shooting birds, wildlife, sports, etc. Maybe those pics would be blurry if extracted from a video? Do share your thoughts on this. Thank you

Is it possible to use the FZ30 as a camcorder and film a series of shots as one video rather than use an editor afterwards to compile a video? Or another way does the record button have a pause function so that you can stop and start filming?
You can use either the button or the focus ring to zoom. There's a selection switch on the side if the lens barrel that allows you to pick which zoom method you want to use.
I would like to know what that is at 3:10 in the video on the brick wall...is that noise because of low light I seem to be getting alot of that when in low light...no matter how you set the camera up....
You can select a longer zoom in the menu, but if you do it will be digital and not optical. The f/2.8 is only without zooming. After you zoom in the aperture closes down to f/4, but that's not too bad.
I just bought this fz300 camera. It is still in the box. After hearing your review as a B camera not as good as your others, I am now considering returning it. Essentially I interpreted your review as grossly inferior.
The first 11.23 minutes is unnesecessary information. I think the important think about talking about a camera is the connections like all input or out put.. Talk about the type of format that the camera records, resololutions and accessories. etc. Also be able to test short videos with external and internal microphones..
A few too many 'Ah's" for me. So much so that I could not finish watching....About 5 minutes was all I could take. Time to find another review of this camera.

I was going to criticize your comment , but I'm afraid I have to agree. Definitely did not practice or use a written outline. Have to do your "thinking" before you make a speech.
