i feel like one aspect of postgame content you didn’t really touch on is the collection aspect, as every game has something from hats, legendary treasures, charms, or imagnite chest. It gives reason to replay levels or grind out to buy things in the in game shops.
But the collection aspect will happen during the game (provided you have the right Skylanders at the time). I feel like most people would count that as during game content. I think the only level you're forced to replay to get everything is the last level of Spyro's Adventure, because it literally gives you a choice between two possible ones and then blocks off the other after you choose.
There's something you missed with post game Superchargers, there's a Mabu near Buzz that has 20 unique challenges for each and every Supercharger combo

I think what makes Dragons' Peak's ending good is that Flavius made a mistake in convincing Rameses into leaving the throne which gave Vathek a chance to take over. In the end it's not the Skylanders who fix the mistake but Flavius himself. And then he not only saves Dragons' Peak's but also gives the throne back to its rightful ruler. It's not my favourite adventure pack but it has a decent story.
Honestly trap team has good replayibility that makes up for the mid post game content in my opinion and also the nightmare modes are sort of post game content because u have to beat the game first. Trap teams nightmare mode is really fun as well
as well as being near impossible without the kaos trap (especially when the final boss on nightmare can basically one shot you and takes 30 minutes on its own just to beat)
I have to say i really love Kaos Mode in Trap Team. Its propapely my favourite gamemode out of all Skylanders games. I'm sure that i spent well over 100 hours just replaying wave 80-100 on nightmare mode over and over again.
the dragons peak level explains why Flavious could do that. Any who sits on the dragons throne is king. Vathek imprisoned ramses in stone once given the opportunity so once vathek gets off, Flavious rubs his mistake in his face and stones him keeping him a statue as he chose to punish vathek.
Hot take: I never played battle mode and i personally think its worthless, I don't have any friends. Trap Team has the best post-game, the 4 levels are amazing and the doom challenge is the most fun side mode. Also, you forgot about the rhytm game thing. And Gryphon Park Observatory is such a good level, one of my favorites actually.
As someone who used to play battle mode with my friends and family, I disagree that it’s worthless, but I definitely see your point. Swap force had something similar to Doom Challenge AND battle mode, so there’s no excuse for trap team not to give us both 🤷♂️ Even if they had a rule that excluded villains or something, I feel like it definitely could’ve worked
Another great video as always. Back in the day I did all 32 heroic challenges for each of my Skylanders. Unfortunately because I use Skylanders on so many different games and consoles, the data didn't carry over for some which was really upsetting. Although I would say the challenges def made a difference, especially the ones that increased speed.
12:05 I guess the only thing we can note for Giants is that some Skylander's heroic challenges are actually not attached to their Skylander anymore, such as Camo's heroic challenge, that you can now buy at Auric's shop. And yes, that does mean Camo has no heroic challenge in Giants, even though, who cares ?
Yes, Skylanders series is back on Skylander Gamer TV. Also, I missed you man so much. The overall quality and quantity of the postgame content is a major part of the gameplay and pretty much determines my preference towards each Skylanders game. No wonder why I love Swap Force so much and I find Trap Team, Superchargers and especially Imaginators underwhelming.
Great video. I didn't really use the post game content as a kid and rather I would repeat levels, but the swap force bonus missions was the best thing ever. Chompy challenge was so fun to play with friends I'm glad you're back, and I look forward for more content

While, yes, it's weird to have a crash themed level in skylanders, but i think this level is justifying of existing, because it looks gorgeous, with all the palm trees, plants and rocks and the soundtrack greatly compliments the level. Also the level plays like a crash level witch I'm a big fan of. The fake-crash boss fight neer the end isn't really the best, but i genuinely believe that it's the best boss fight in imaginators, because compared to the rest of the games boss fights (fx. doomlander) it's easily the best in my opinion. (sorry for bad English, I'm from Denmark)
A good video idea could be where you go through Imaginator is like you did with superchargers going through all the characters and all the levels Because they are the two games I didn’t like it be interesting to see your video on. Imaginator is a good couple of hours of in-depth insight on what you think about the game and if you can recommend it to me

Nightshade boss fight wasn't that bad. It was actually pretty fun. Plus I never cared for pvps in any game, so eh. And hey, I play the Brain challenges and battle arena to death. Battles were satisfying.

And Yes, the game has chapter names for the bonus levels that are after the final level. But it still can be played before beating the game. In my opinion this content is only side content that has the potential of being post game content if you have already beaten the game, but that doesn’t really make them post game as they don’t unlock after the post game. Besides, unless I’m remembering it wrong, Swap Force’s time attack and score attack, or at least the last two levels, are more like post game content as you unlock them or at least the final levels after beating the game. (I don’t really recall if the time and score attack really was post game or not)
I have such amazing memories of playing the racing game with my sibling. Superchargers is the only one I think I would ever go back to this many years out.
I have a lot of nostalgia for Swap Force’s battle mode. I played Ring Out with my friend constantly, and really grew to utterly hate Freeze Blade because of it (God, Freeze Blade becomes a nightmare in Ring Out).
They state pretty early on in Dragon's peak that all the power of Dragon's peak lies in the throne, and what Flavius does to Vathek is literally just what he did to Ramses, also at least I got my Volcanic Vault from a battle mode tournament
For a game with this many characters, you need some good post game content. I like the infinite scaling arena in Imaginators as a concept, but the arena is so small and cramped that few skylanders feel appropriate for it.
The way this is talked about, makes me think that if someone managed to make a Skylander's game with that Skylanders Unity Kit thingy, that a lot of people would prob play it.

I remember getting swap force it was the first skylander game I had I was fairly young when I got it and my memory is hazy on if I played all the levels or not or if my dad played some but I remember that by the time it was completed I still only had golden wash buckler blast zone and stealth elf but a few months later I got rattle shake and free ranger and cynder then my mom took me to Walmart and told me I could get two new characters but trap team had come out by then and I nor my mom knew that so I picked out crypt king and wildfire I was really disappointed when I found out that they didn’t work on swap force but my mom had gotten me giant’s for my birthday which had tree rex in it with jet-vac she thought it was the sequel to swap force so I was again saddened by the fact that I couldn’t play with all my characters but when I truly played giants I was in love the things that stand out the most was Flynn’s ship the village where you switch between words (I liked it much more than fizz world) your ghost friend and of course drill x. We finally learned about trap team but when they said play as villains I thought that the skylanders in that game were evil and that you would work for kaos but that didn’t happen when I finally got it. It was so worth playing I loved the style of the weapons the levels always felt interesting but I really loved the arena battles and the kaos challenges the fact that your element could now have more of an impact that’s 1 reason I liked the mirror world which was the only level I had bought at this point and loved leading goblins. But my favorite thing about it was the music levels and of course the villains which I did manage to get for every element included kaos. Now I liked superchargers but I preferred trap team I liked fiesta and the level where your giant and the arena but the racing wasn’t my style of gaming and I wished they did more with the traps besides giving you skystones my favorite villains to play as were eye scream kaos and golden queen for there music Now I got imaginaters fairly late and my family started going through some stuff I won’t get into but I couldn’t play it but I got two creation crystals I finally started playing after almost a year and a bit more and when my mom found out they were going to stop making them for Christmas she got me quite a few sansei and an earth creation crystal I got gryphon park observatory and I was disappointed and then they stopped selling them they stopped making them and there prices skyrocketed to the point that Captain Flynn could sit on top of it seeing every bit of skylands and say BOOM! I played imaginators for a long while but over time the game felt lacking I remember how supercharger and giants were while still being cartoonish it had a more mature undertone like how these war machines were keeping people as slaves and how kaos is destroying skylands with the help of the personification of evil and I remember how worried I felt when I saw glumshanks sacrifice himself but imaginaters was just really cartoony I liked the references and that they added the villains from trap team as skylanders even if they made both the traps and bones weapons useless the vehicles were only usable in on thing and I couldn’t even do what the game was made for imaginaters it sucked to me. I wish they would have made a game where they included the tests of strength the swap challenges the traps the vehicles and imaginators and had kaos who was being once again contained in the new cloudcracker prison ask glumshanks to start taking over skylands for him until he gets back glumshanks starts doing this and actually is better at it then kaos and eventually gets addicted to his power.
PvP was never something I played bc my brother always lost so he didn't wanna play anymore so. Skylanders not having it isn't really that important for me.
You forgot the Supercharger challenges, given to matching Skylander and vehicle combos from the mabu behind Grizzo the Greeble, and to the right of Buzz.
Man it's weaird see these again. I never played skylanders Spyro's adventures and Giants with my mates. Played a bit of swap force, but I was bored of skylanders then. Giants was peak
5:46 then there is the masochist that i am in doing all 32 heroic challenges with all 32 characters.... unless you are some mega completionist like i am its not worth it, it took 2 weeks of on and off grinding my only complaint is that the stats themselves dont carry over into swap force or further making them pointless in the long run, i just wish they did since it would give the older players a reward for sticking with the series, the same goes for the quest medals in giants and swap force and how they are gone in trap team and further,
I liked trap teams kaos mode it helps so much get that ling drawn out lv20 max for skylanders ans gets them lots of cash I Often go to the last 3 and get some skylander maxed on upgrades and lvs
I have to admit something. I’ve played each game over and over with over 300 hours in each one. However I’ve never played any of the battle modes simply because I wasn’t interested in them
TRAPTEAM HAS FUN POST GAME CONTENT. I LOVE SOME RACING GAMES, LIKE SUPERCHARGERS. THE ARENA FIGHTS ARE FUN. TESSA’S AND THE BRAIN’S CHALLENGES ARE FUN. ALL SKYLANDERS MAIN AND POST GAMES ARE FUN.
I've played the Arena mode maybe twice, and I really don't see how it's any more fun than co-op. Maybe I'm just not competitive, but I never found the mode something I needed to play when playing with other people. That Aside, I do find it disappointing that later entries provided less and less post game content. I would guess Activision/Toys for Bob/Vicarious Visions thought players only played the story, but it's still weird they supported so much until Superchargers.
Me and my little brother still have fun In imaginators even if we just do the same things. You also forgot the sensie elemental zones and the addition of nightmare mode

Now I got imaginaters fairly late and my family started going through some stuff I won’t get into but I couldn’t play it but I got two creation crystals I finally started playing after almost a year and a bit more and when my mom found out they were going to stop making them for Christmas she got me quite a few sansei and an earth creation crystal I got gryphon park observatory and I was disappointed and then they stopped selling them they stopped making them and there prices skyrocketed to the point that Captain Flynn could sit on top of it seeing every bit of skylands and say BOOM! I played imaginators for a long while but over time the game felt lacking I remember how supercharger and giants were while still being cartoonish it had a more mature undertone like how these war machines were keeping people as slaves and how kaos is destroying skylands with the help of the personification of evil and I remember how worried I felt when I saw glumshanks sacrifice himself but imaginaters was just really cartoony I liked the references and that they added the villains from trap team as skylanders even if they made both the traps and bones weapons useless the vehicles were only usable in on thing and I couldn’t even do what the game was made for imaginaters it sucked to me. I wish they would have made a game where they included the tests of strength the swap challenges the traps the vehicles and imaginators and had kaos who was being once again contained in the new cloudcracker prison ask glumshanks to start taking over skylands for him until he gets back glumshanks starts doing this and actually is better at it then kaos and eventually gets addicted to his power.

PvP was never something I played bc my brother always lost so he didn't wanna play anymore so. Skylanders not having it isn't really that important for me.
The brain can actually change the arena waves and add obstacles, but it is still the same map.

You forgot the Supercharger challenges, given to matching Skylander and vehicle combos from the mabu behind Grizzo the Greeble, and to the right of Buzz.

I remember playing and buying sky landers stuff with my dad when I was really young. To be honest I thought none of it was real for the longest time.
Man it's weaird see these again. I never played skylanders Spyro's adventures and Giants with my mates. Played a bit of swap force, but I was bored of skylanders then. Giants was peak
These levels make me so nostalgic. I remember being 6 years old in 2011 playing all of these levels on my Wii. Hard to believe that was 11 years ago.
I was 9 I had the first adventure and giants on my 3rd, could never get the extra levels
5:46 then there is the masochist that i am in doing all 32 heroic challenges with all 32 characters....
unless you are some mega completionist like i am its not worth it, it took 2 weeks of on and off grinding
my only complaint is that the stats themselves dont carry over into swap force or further making them pointless in the long run, i just wish they did since it would give the older players a reward for sticking with the series, the same goes for the quest medals in giants and swap force and how they are gone in trap team and further,
Imaginite mines is probably one of the best levels i've played in imaginators

I liked trap teams kaos mode it helps so much get that ling drawn out lv20 max for skylanders ans gets them lots of cash I Often go to the last 3 and get some skylander maxed on upgrades and lvs
I still need to do all of the heroic challenges for SSA with one Skylander, any advice for beating the Double Trouble one with Chop Chop?
Trap team also had quests for every boss to evolve them
What about the time attack and score modes on skylanders swap force?
Trap Team PvP would've been so cool since you could fight each other as other villains

I have to admit something. I’ve played each game over and over with over 300 hours in each one. However I’ve never played any of the battle modes simply because I wasn’t interested in them
TRAPTEAM HAS FUN POST GAME CONTENT. I LOVE SOME RACING GAMES, LIKE SUPERCHARGERS. THE ARENA FIGHTS ARE FUN. TESSA’S AND THE BRAIN’S CHALLENGES ARE FUN. ALL SKYLANDERS MAIN AND POST GAMES ARE FUN.

I've played the Arena mode maybe twice, and I really don't see how it's any more fun than co-op. Maybe I'm just not competitive, but I never found the mode something I needed to play when playing with other people.
That Aside, I do find it disappointing that later entries provided less and less post game content. I would guess Activision/Toys for Bob/Vicarious Visions thought players only played the story, but it's still weird they supported so much until Superchargers.
