Wow, a month, I'm glad I was able to resist going from a 5 to the 6. I'm showing growth. I'm going to try to wait for the 7 or 8.
After doing a little bit of research, I came to the realization that the Fold 6, while folded, is almost the exact same physical dimensions as the Galaxy S8 (which I used to own), just with a 6.3" screen instead of 5.8". So it not only "feels" like a regular sized phone, but it really IS the size of a regular phone now.
The screen ratio is better and wider on the S8 (18.5:9) vs the Fold 6 (22:9) that's why the Fold feels a bit cramped on the outer screen.
Ive been enjoying mine, really amazed at how the slightly bigger outer screen has altered my useage.on the fold 3,4 and 5 i hardly ever used the outer display but on the 6 i actually do..i can even text on it lol.
I do wish the battery life was better (it may improve still) because i get more out of my fold 5, thats my only negative (and its a very slight negative) about it.
Cant wait to compare this and the pixel fold 2 when it arrives.
My buds 3 pro came last week.....damn. that's all ill say lol.

Pixel 8 pro XL is getting amazing battery life so you’ll be pleasantly surprised at least that’s what I’ve seen from a video I watched.
Any difference between fold5 camera and fold6 camera ?
@@brucelin5842 nothing earth shattering, i fid depending on conditions i prefer the 5 cameras but of course its had a year of updates. The hardware is basically the same so i wasnt expecting much other then whatever the new gen 3 chip offers
Fold 6 is a tablet with a screen on the back, GP9PF is a phone with a Tablet inside.

I used to do some quirky things with multitasking on Android with the Note 9. I didn’t realize how well that stuff works now after using it at Best Buy today. I was able to screen record natively with audio. Record natively with stock camera app both as a popup window and split screen while watching a TH-cam video. I used to record myself playing music live using open camera in a pop up window while doing other stuff on the phone. Man a lot has happened in 4 years. Using that fold on flex mode while recording would be on point. I think I may be definitely switching my phone back to samsung
The outside display is perfect for me.. awesome phone they don't need to change anything about this design.

3 negative things re: price to value
3) camera indoor/lowlight meh at best
2) inner screen should've had some kinda anti reflection
1) blacks don't look as black as they should be on inner screen vs the outer screen. But it could be the screen protector?
3 positive:
3) square design/bezels seems to make it feel wider despite only being a diff of a couple mm
2) this is software avail. across device but: Goodlock, Battery saver and Dex. All game changers
1) reduction of weight makes such a difference to hold for extended periods
When talking about software the fold 6 is years ahead from the competition. And yes, the outer display is usable. I couldn't use last year's (the 5) but this one is perfect FOR ME
I like the narrower front screen. Im in the boat of wanting a one hand display and open to a big screen.
As far as not using a case, I have the Fold 5 and I purchased the Samsung case that holds the pen. I'd rather not have a case but the case is pretty slim and lightweight and storing the pen is cool
The 2nd screen being a little bit wider made a big difference, im using it more often. I still looking for a carbon fiber case with hinge and front protection for mine, so far sa nilkin hinge case is the doing well for me

Im starting to agree with you. I think if it widens just a smidge more it would be the perfect balance of pocketability and practicality.

I have a big question for you. How big of a difference do you think the outer screen on the Z Fold 6 makes compared to the 4 and 5 (which were the same shape)? I bought a pixel fold because of the outer display it's better than my z fold 2. But the inner display was never optimized properly. And with the extra Goodlock customizations on the z fold, that inner screen was way better. I realize even though I hate the slim outer screen, I'm buying the phone for the inner screen and that's what I want to use the most. On my pixel fold I'm using the outer screen 90% of the time vs maybe 30% of the time I did on my z fold 2. I would like to buy a used 4 or 5 to save money, but I'm wondering if this outer screen on the 6 is that much of an improvement that I should consider it?
@@ElectricC0mpany imo it is a big improvement. It is only 2.8mm wider, but I hated the Fold5 cover screen. the Fold6 cover screen actually feels like I'm holding a regular phone. it is still more narrow then the typical slab phone but it is much more comfortable to use for me and has a better aspect ratio.

They should definitely improve zoom quality on camera and increase charging speeds..
Also they should have brought 200-300 mah increase in battery..

Ok bro, so I can’t get rid of my iPhone 15 Pro as the main phone because of the fam, but what’s your thoughts on something like this that could work as a second phone AND an iPad Pro replacement? (coming from someone who actually uses a tablet and MacBook on the daily for separate purposes)

the hack is to buy a used, good condition fold 3 and trade that in lol. i got one for 400 shipped from a trusted seller. guess who got the fold 6 1tb as a first fold. coming from an iphone 13pro to a S24 to a fold 6

I disagree about there is no reason to not have S24U cameras on Z Fold 6. The thickness of the Fold 6 doesn't allow the thick cameras of the Ultra to be used. Samsung should develop new models that fits with the Z fold 6

Z fold 6 doesn't have wifi 7 I was mad because it was on my S24 Ultra
Not a deal breaker wifi 6e is fast enough hopefully they will put it in the z fold 7 🤞

Your lost. This phone is much better than the 5 and yes, I had the Fold 5
straight cap..the only difference between the F5/F6 is the outer screen. They are basically the same phone with the F5 beating in the F6 in some scenarios. A F5 user shouldn't even upgrade. However, a F4 user will be a bigger jump in upgrading.
