After the Astroworld incident, no performer wants to risk being in another tragic incident because of obliviousness or indifference. And While I'm grateful the attendee received medical attention, (selfishly) I wish future emergencies concerning guests could be resolved favorably without performances grinding to a halt.
They can be, I received medical attention at a concert when I was front row. The show did not stop but there was some obvious disruption because you know without getting help I could have passed out and died. I’m very grateful Jason Mraz was more than willing to stop the performance if needed, he told me afterwards he almost did but security/emts got to me so quickly he didn’t need to. He was able to perform on a sort of autopilot while he made sure I was getting care. The idea that anyone would suggest putting a concert avoiding a slight interruption over someone’s health and safety is absurd.
