I’ve had this monitor for a week now. Read your review on the website and decided to buy it. Absolutely stunning monitor. The brightness was a huge factor why I bought it. Great job everyone keep up the great reviews!!
@@greenstreet_45 Im an ex- user of the monitor. Text clarity for regular fonts is okay. However larger fonts tend to get a red and green outline on left and right. And yellow icons and boxes get an even more pronounced red and green outline on either side. (left and right) Main issue with the display is that the HDR is horrible in dark scenes.
@@greenstreet_45 meh sadly… even inside games some small icons have color fringing. This is the only real downside for me. But if you want WOLED (and dont want to invest >1000 for the new 480hz WOLED Panel) , its what it is
I have it since yesterday and I'm blown away. But I'm just a bit meh about the différent mode that totally mess up with the image when it comes to colour calibration and accuracy.
Why is matte WOLED more expensive than QD-OLED? Considering WOLED has lower refresh rate & inferior HDR. Majority of people also dislike the matte coating on their monitor. You would think WOLED would cost less than the QD-OLED, not the other way around
Can you also review the new asus pg27aqdp and compare if it’s worth it with double the refresh rate I hear so many reviews on the internet and I’m on the fence of this one and the more expensive 480hz one
It’s amazing. I just got mine today and its refresh rate is so high you don’t need HDMI 2.1 for VRR or AutoLowLatency. Once you connect to it and have a HDMI 2.1 ultra high speed cable, it enables them all and FPS counter. 10/10. Out of the box is not good tho, just got to adjust all the settings and colors. Other than that she’s a beast and so clear and bright
Hopefully this is the OLED im keeping. QD-OLED i cant use because it gives me headaches, the PG27AQDP had terrible dirty screen effect where black didnt even seem black anymore. Hopefully this one is better.
@@jwkb-q2q im keeping it. Its much better then the aqdp. dirty screen effect is minimal, greyscale is great and the glossy coating really makes it pop. Would recommend, paid 650€ for it.
Same here. I don't want to pay for an OLED that doesn't have deep black. QD-Oled turns black into greyish purple color (even in the darkest room). It literally looks like an IPS glow
@@Creationseed9 @jwkb-q2q . sorry m8, totally forgot. The glossy oled is the one. It has much better blacks and greyscale and u cant see any dirty screen effect. Disabled pixel shift and no problems at all. Paid 650€ and its worth every penny.
I stumbled between this ASUS glossy oled and Samsung G60SD, and I choose the higher refresh rate samsung one with matte coating, cause mainly i’ll just play competitive game to reach that high frame rate in 1440p. and if I want to play in glossy coating I’ll just buy the LG C4 in 4k
Just put in the numbers under "Color Accuracy (Post-Calibration)" into the OSD of your Unit. You can find them on the website in the review. This is not 100% accurate for every unit, but it is way better then the default settings. Otherwise you would ne special hardware to do it yourself, which is expensive.
@@18wtrucker I own this monitor, it's just fine, coming from someone with poor eyesight and not even wearing glasses, anyone complaining doesn't understand most oled text (outside of 4k), isn't great.

How is the text clarity outside gaming?
@@greenstreet_45 it’s could be better. It doesn’t bother me at all but yes it could be better. Not the greatest but I strictly use it for gaming.

Had both the AW3423DWF and AW2725DF, both hurt my eyes and weren't the best given my lighting conditions. This is by far the next best option.
Gotta save up for one of these!
How’s the motion handling of the game you’re playing doesn’t hit 240 hz? Any ghosting or blur?
Old comment but from what I've read with these panels is motion clarity is basically the same no matter the refresh
Which Asus monitor has 2.1 I’m wanting one with 4k too thanks for the suggestion in advance
Hey! Did you use the Wide-Gamut or DCI-P3 or the sRGB mode for testing?
For ps5 which would you pick this one or the LG 27GS95QE
Can you possibly do a review of the Msi mag 271qpx e2 🙏
yup its cool
just picked one up for 550 on sale at best buy, incredible value for an oled. thought about 4k but that involves $2000 investement (4080 plus monitor)
How bad is the black on it? Does it turn grey & purple like QD-Oled?
@ great thing about woled is it doesnt do that like qd oled does
Can you prove it? Take some pictures of the Strix (in a bright room) displaying a black background on the screen
Can you also review the new asus pg27aqdp and compare if it’s worth it with double the refresh rate I hear so many reviews on the internet and I’m on the fence of this one and the more expensive 480hz one
it's not absolutely glossy. It's semi-glossy :( pg27aqdp
Does this not have a huge image retention issue aparently even bios boot logos when starting pc was being retained 😂😂😂
Finally a glossy woled, ill wait for the 32” 4k
What happens if u put a 2.1 hdmi into it does it downgrade it or does it not display?
It downgrades
A HDMI 2.1 cable being put into a HDMI 2.0 slot will just act as a HDMI 2.0
does it run pixel cleaning after shutting down? i ve seen some stories on reddit it doesnt
Yes mine just did it lol
@brandonb.5070 how do you know?
Just bought my own to replace my old IPS monitor. I will most definitely buy the PG27AQDP once it becomes more available to complement it.
Do you experience alt and tab black screen bug when you do alt tab during full screen gaming? Meaning when using dsc at 240hz
Would this be good for ps5

Guys can u check the response time after new firmware update of samsung oddysey g6 oled? it came out like 4 days ago
This is not a true gloss you still can see the grain like on a matte coating
Why would you want a super bright screen tho, to blind yourself?
