Thank yoi for the tips beautiful. I really needed this. I've been told many times to start a braiding business but I never really had the courage to and I doubt myself alot. I'm now a mum and I don't think I can work anymore for someone else anymore and I've been thinking of turning my hobby and what I'm good a t into a business from home. I just need some guidance and study as well to be a hair professional stylist (braids).
I literally just got fired from my job and decided to take braiding seriously. I’ve been doing my own/family hair since 2019. I believe I’m pretty talented but I have doubt with the entire business idea.
Yeah I had the same and I began getting clients since a couple of weeks ago and getting into it. (Sorry for my English, I speak Spanish haha) You can do it!
I’m looking to start braiding from home I’m not in school but I will be going I’m a single mom but I feel I’m my heart to braid hair and I love it I even do my own I started on myself ❤️🙌🏾 My mom also braids hair!! Love this video
Glad you mentioned customer service. I’m not the best nail tech but people appreciate my vibe. I try my best to give exceptional service, I’m dress well and do my make up. That’s very important especially working with high end clients
My problem is with pricing, i don't know if it's too much, if it's too low, i mean i know how to price, (materials, time, difficulty, type if hair) but i'm confused about it
Ever sense I found her channel I've loved every single video. She's very precise with giving instructions and tips. Her energy is great as well and she has the free starter kit ! Will be apart of her journey as I start mines! :)
I’ve been braiding for years but just started taking it serious in 2021 after everything opened back up. I just need help with the business side so that’s why I’m here to learn something new
Thank you for making this video! I have been going back and forth between whether or not to start a hair business and your video gave me confidence more confidence to start. Starting a hair business is very daughnting for me but its not that scary when you break it down the way you did.
Right now, it's just an idea because I can't really get around to an actual job(may have to take the bus until I can afford hair and such to practice with), but I definitely wanna do hair, it seems to be the easiest thing to do to live off of
That depends on your state. If you are just starting out work on family and friends until you can get into a shop. Many shops will let you work if you are working towards your license. Good luck.
This was a excellent video, I enjoyed it so much, I am so glad you spoke on good customer service, I’ve had so many bad experiences with rude stylist. I’m looking to learn how to braid and listening to you was perfect 👍🏾
Hey girl, I would like to start a hair braiding business and I wanted to ask if it’s best to tell your client to provide their own hair for hair appointments?
Hi I’m in beauty school right now and I’m in a small city with mainly white folks, I wanna move out of state and create a business, where is the best, more affordable place to settle down? Big question I’m sorry
How many clients do you take a day? How do you space them out if you take more then one a day I’m a cosmetologist getting back in the field on the bracing side and I worry about how to schedule it out or how man to take a day I hear some people will do styles that take longer like micro braid then the rest of the day do easier after styles ? How do you do it please I’d love a response ❤️ your name indybindy braids is so cute also do you supply hair if you do do you charge more or the same as if they bring hair
hey love! Im glad you're getting back into it I love that for you!! Because I'm also a full time student I only take a maximum of 2 clients a day because a lot of the time I have class during the day. On days that I do take 2, I schedule styles based on my work hours. So for example, if on fridays I work from 9am-5pm I can either schedule 2 four-hour or less appointments, 1 eight-hour appointment, or depending on the time slot two appointments that fill up the slot. The longer appointments cost more, so I still will make the same amount of money by taking 1 client instead of multiple. And yes I charge more to supply hair but I just add it in the price. Also thank you!! I was trying to find something that rhymes with my name lol!
Hi. I’m a freshman in college in Hungary and I really want to take my braiding seriously. I looked for shine n jam or locked in everywhere but couldn’t find. Do you think I could use got2b gel or cantu gel as braiding gel?? Please i need advise.
I WISHHHH i could find a course in atl. I know how to take care of natural hair and do silk presses and i desire to learn how to braid. everyone is kind of wolves and all for themselves here tho
Don't rush take your time, each and every day. Best thing for me is buying a VISUAL BOARD for you to look at everyday you wake up. Remember TH-cam is your FRIEND. RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH
OMG, I am loving your story, your journey, I really can relate. Once you stated you started braiding as a Sophomore in high school, my heart felt that. Thank you for being so inspiring, motivating and more. 🤎🙌🏾👑. I am starting a home salon, I have to answer my calling, am also in college for BUS major. Thank you for being a light ✨

Do you need to get a braiding license or cosmetology license in order to start your business or get a suite ?
That depends on your state. If you are just starting out work on family and friends until you can get into a shop. Many shops will let you work if you are working towards your license. Good luck.

Hey girl, I would like to start a hair braiding business and I wanted to ask if it’s best to tell your client to provide their own hair for hair appointments?
In my opinion no, because you know how to provide hair, what's the best for that work, ecc... the client maybe doesn't
Thank you so much! 💓
