    How do you close extraction spaces on Niti wires without losing incisor torque or deepening the bite?

      well you have to fully level and align first? and fully fill the slot. Bite will always deepen when you close space so that's why you have to FULLY level first (almost overcorrect the curve of spee)- then you bond 7's if needed to help to level after closing spaces and can use RCS wire if needed

    You stated that you use a 17x22 ni wire….why? Do you find it a smoother ride vs 16x22ss? I was trained with ni upto 018, then 18x25 heat activated wire, followed by 19x25 & then finish back with heat activated or 018ss. Currently morphed to what the 40yr experienced orthodontist is using in my office which is twist(not my thang), 018ni, 16x22(general finishing wire as we have never go to a 018ss). I have no problem doing repos when ever needed which I can see is not his thang as he is master wire bender & arch coordination by hand along with what I call “trust in the process” which equates to more time & waiting. Lets just say he was the first in our area to do bonded brackets in our town when he came her but he is old school instructor style;)

      Thanks! If your system / workflow is working for you, then I don't see anything wrong with it! as long as you are finishing your cases to ideal in

    mostly round ss wire is used for wire bending or else we can use

      I never used that for wire bending! Please watch all the other videos that address this in our straightwire playlist or take out straight wire course

    Do you use .017*.025 on both .018 and .022 brackets during space closing? Thank you

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, good question- my videos are made assuming 022 slot because most GPs are using 022 slot. 018 slot is a lot harder to use and a lot less forgiving. I am trained on both.

    On what wire do you retract canine and incisor retraction?
    Do you use 0.016 & 0.018 stainless steel wires after 0.016 & 0.018 Niti wires?

      I do not- here's more on my opinion of SS- th-cam.com/video/zukJEZ6k-vA/w-d-xo.html

    so wire with reverse curve of spee should be done in alignment and levelling phase 1725NiTi
    or way after space closed, dr want to further refine the levelling ?

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      for me this is last resort for leveling- please watch this video- th-cam.com/video/2aD8lQcFnWc/w-d-xo.html
