    You mean that we should use the reverse curve wire after 0.19×0.25 ss to correct the speed curve and to correct the bite?

    Hi i want to ask you a question, I'm 22 years old and i'm about 1 month or two from getting my braces off at this moment i'm wearing this type of wire 2:14 i have no spaces between my teeths and every teeth in it's correct position and my doctor said she won't use this wire 8:35 for the last appointment and now i'm curious, should i ask her to use rectangular wire with elastic chain before getting my braces off ? because now i'm wearing elastic tie with this wire here 2:14 (Elastic tie just for the lower jaw and the upper one with ligature wire), I really want an answer or advise from you!

      sorry I really don't know- there are so many things that need to be evaluated. I'd recommend getting a second opinion from a doctor in your country who can review your xrays, periodontal health and so on.

      @@Straightsmilesolutions Alright i'll see another doctor, last question, is it necessary to use rectangular wire in the last appointments for your patients?

      @@ZODIraq I do except in a very few scenerios. Good question maybe I'll make a video about this next. Otherwise the slot isn't filled so you don't get the real bracket prescription being expressed so the teeth aren't perfect

      this isn't something that can be answered without xrays, ceph, PA ceph and clinical exam- sometimes it's not possible- www.youtube.com/@Straightsmilesolutions/search?query=posterior%20crossbite

    Is it okay to use stainless steel wire 0.19x25 to 0.22 slots?

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes because the width is based on the first number the 022 , so can put 19x25 in 022 slots but not in 018 if that makes sense. Good question!

    Dr would you recommend intrusion arch to correct deep bite

    • @Straightsmilesolutions
      @Straightsmilesolutions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      HAHA- I was trained by Dr. Burstone so intrusion arches indeed are great mechanics. If your patient truly ONLY needs absolute intrusion of max 2-2, sure- but usually patients needs a combination of absolute intrusion and relative extrusion. Also most US patients won't tolerate how "ugly" this is.
