After my baby is well fed, he's happy to chill in that bad boy for an hour. It frees up some time to be able to organize and clean stuff. My dude is all about level 3 car ride.
Just found your videos, really enjoying them. Thanks for being straight to the point, not rambling on in a 3 minute intro, and not playing annoying music. 👍🙂 My 4 month old Henry approves 😆
Buying it second-hand is a great idea. A friend is actually borrowing ours right now until the baby gets a little older. So much better to save that money.
Our Mamaroo (Which we got for free from friends) had the same problem with the mobile hanging down, an easy fix is to get 4 cable ties, tie 1 to the base of the mobile, 1 to the Mamaroo & then 2 through both the base & Mamaroo it bounces back up each time it's pulled, only problem is anytime you need to wash the basket you will have to cut off the 2 vertical cable ties to remove the basket & replace them when puting it back on again.
I think being familiar with the return policy is a good idea. I wanted to try one, but for what it costs there was so much more I could buy. I am glad I never did get one. I also had a super colicky baby, and while I didn't try this particular chair, I would put good money on it that it would not have solved any problems. I found that the Rock N Play and the Boppy lounger were the only things he would allow me to set him down in peacefully, and even that was for maybe 2 or 3 minutes if I was lucky. I would say get to know your baby before such a big investment.
My baby loves it. Definitely less space taking on floor; I have a small house. I’ve Been using since baby was newborn and he is now over 5 months old... he can be in there for hours. Really helped me a lot!!!!! I guess every baby is different.
I have the 2015 version, and you hit all the points spot on! I totally agree with everything you mentioned in this review. I also would not recommend this product.
My wife got one of these free from going onto a talkshow and my baby at 2 months doesn't seem to really like it, which sucks because it seemed like a great solution. Since we have a Nuna carseat/stroller, I'm thinking of giving the leaf a try.
I bought the nuna leaf as I did researched when I was debating between Nuna leaf and 4mons Mamaroo. I was sold that the nuna leaf could support up to 130lbs (myself sat on it and it was absolutely fine!) so to me, it could be used FOREVER (Woo-hoo!) However, I totally agree that babies don't care about price and design. Bought the leaf when she was 2weeks old and hates it till now when she is 6 months old. To my observation, my baby just doesn't like being in a reclined position; she likes to sit up so I found that buying a highchair with reclining position is the best option; newborn can rest in it and then once she can sit up, use it as normal high chair.
My preemie lived his mamaroo but it only lasts until they're about 8-10lbs and then it slows way down and can make noise under the strain. Also, anything like this you want a good return policy on or you wanna get it second-hand (FB yardsale is your friend!) because some babies just won't like it. The pros are how small it is, it can be phone-controlled so u can shut it off once u sit down with babe and realize u forgot, and the reclining is super-handy.
As a future foster parent the 4moms is highly recommended as we will be taking in many drug babies and the hospitals near me use the 4 moms in the nicu to help sooth the poor babies born addicted.
Christina Sauls THANK YOU! So much for this comment! I am a foster baby and have ordered one recently. I’m still waiting for it to come in but was hoping it could be soothing for the babes.
My daughter was a preemie in NICU, they had to rest her gut for 5 days due to a dairy allergy, so no food. This was the only thing that calmed her down
I do. I just met with their marketing team to see if they could send it over. It's very powerful and could contend for one of the best of 2018. More to come.
Got this second hand free and I was warned that her son would only sleep with rocking motions after her baby was in this for a month so I used it sparingly when my son was a NB. He actually didn't like it either and I didn't like how bulky it was and that it had to be plugged in for when I was doing chores and had to move it around. I bought a bouncer similar to the baby bjorn and that was so much better
Hey man, could you please do a video on packing for a road trip with a baby? My stroller (Stokke Xplory) is taking up all of the trunk space and I am not sure how things would work on vacations so a few tips ahead of summer excursions would be very helpful. Keep up the great vids!
I completely agree with your review. I have a colicky baby and this item does nothing for her. I tried so hard to get her to like it but it was all in vain.
We had 3 all 3 broke in a short time. They all went clicking and clacking on the base and started making horrible noises . After the 3rd purchase we asked for a refund and never bought one again. We in the end got a new base and got to keep the old one.... but it's all very wonky
Thank you so much this was a big eye opener and a big help thank you there was nobody I've come across actually did the newer model VS the younger model they've only done two different models the rocker and the mama bounce and I was more worried about the models what's the difference of what they've changed and all that so thank you so much it's very helpful
I was sooo close to putting this on my baby registry but I changed my mind, I think I’m gonna wait for the twins to arrive and get something that they will take to, I did get the chairs that vibrate hopefully they will like those, anyways thank you for your honest review 😊
Have you used this for baby #2? I haven’t seen one, but could you do a video of what products you’ve used for both babies, what their preferences were for the products... and now that you have 2 babies under the belt, any products neither of them used or liked? :-)
For baby number 2, we did try using the mamaRoo and once again he didn't enjoy it as much as other swings that we got for cheaper. For the most part, we used a similar gear-set with similar results but I have to say, the number one item we couldn't live without is our BabyBjorn carrier. That is an absolute game changer.
Might take me some time, but yes. In all honesty, I'd probably buy a Rock n Play as my first choice and Slim Spaces as my second. The mamaRoo is too pricey for it only having a 50-50 chance of the baby liking it.
I got one and my baby hate it. I know all babies are different but most moms that I know that have had it for their child didn’t like either. They are too hype and the company knows how to market it and that most new parents try it.
Emdad Shahnewaz Chowdhury we got it before he was even born Started using it when he was around one (1) month old. We are still using it. He is now a little less then nine (9) m.o.
We got an older version from another family for much cheaper, and we plan to sell it after we're done with it in a couple of months. They seem to retain their resale value quite well. I was also hoping that this device will solve our baby napping issues (she would only nap while being worn in a carrier by one of us lol), but I think it takes more time and effort to convince her to sleep in there than just plopping her in the seat while wide awake. Maybe if the baby was put to sleep in it from day 1, she would have taken to it with less effort? :) Anyway, I think a regular old swing would do the exact same thing, so I agree with your review that unless you can get it at a very good value, don't bother.
I made my husband by this for our baby and she hated it and cried in it every single time we put her in it. I had to return it then my sister gave me her Graco swing and she loved it and fell asleep in it all the time. Moral of the story: splurging isn't always the best
Great channel!!!!!! I'm going to be a new father and felt the same as you!!!! I really want the mamaroo because it's a cool gadget. Haha. But you're the second person I heard that said the baby didn't like it. I may get the rockaroo
We use it now that our son is over 4 months, but got it as a gift. I think its a waist of money but my son is an easy baby so will try on our next kid to see if its really worth it. Again would never buy it myself. Go buy a 35$ bouncer my kid loved it way more than this product. Rue used maybe 40 times bouncer everyday! Plus the bounce goes to 40 pounds! Way better value!
I didn't buy this yet but the White Noise did sound a little harsh it didn't sound soft and soothing I'd rather go on TH-cam and listen to thunderstorm and rain
It's not worth that to buy brand new when you're on a tight budget buy it used on your local Facebook yard sell sites... You can remove the whole entire cover and wash it and you can replace it
Do you mean my watch? haha, no, it's actually a Fossil. I used to work for them producing video content. Got some hefty discounts on a bunch of their watches. An Omega would be nice though.
Babies want to be close to mummy or daddy so a much better investion is a baby sling or wrap. Baby is close to you, you can walk around, get stiff done, be hands free and baby will sleep in it no bother :)
Thanks for this video, i have a question for you please. My son is 2-weeks old, and every time i put him in the swing he never stops crying. Any tips for me, or he is little young for this swing?
Hey dude, yeah it's definitely not easy. When ours was 2-weeks he did that same thing in the swing. It's hard to determine the reason for crying. It could be colic, stomach pains, hunger, etc. I would say the biggest tip to help comfort the baby is to wear him. Get an Ergobaby or BabyBjorn and walk around with him on you. That helped calm my son a lot.
Thank God, I only borrowed one from a friend. Her baby hated, it. my baby hated it. Have yet to meet someone in real life, and not an online comment who actually likes it.
My wife and i recieved one of these as a gift for our son and at first we thought it would be great until we put him in it. The design is just bad where the baby has to lay. Our son hated it he was never comfortable in it so it has basically only been used very briefly a hand full of times. Would not recommend to anyone. Over hyped and over priced for a sub par product.
Lmao can I have it I been struggling to fix mine I bought it off Facebook and paid 70 and since been trying to fix it i have the 2015 model I’m close to giving up can’t find the problem tried everything but cool video I ended up on your video to see if it was even worth it to have this thing ☹️
Glad i saw this wont buy it many people online selling theres saying baby dont like my stupid gf convinced its the greatest but same amount of good reviews as bad waist of money n jus get cheap swing
No!! Don't buy, my babies hated it... its so slow!! My babies prefer the fisher price swing, which I requested on my registry and my sister in law got me this thing instead my son cried on all the time...
My apologies for mislabeling the source footage at 0:28 and 0:58. The footage was from 4moms, not Uppababy.
I'm so happy I got one of these as a hand-me-down, I hope my son enjoys it!
Where can you get the large adult version? I wish I had one for sleeping.
Check out lovesac! No motion that I know of.
Exactly parents of babies need better quality of sleep , so why aren't the companies jumping on that
My brother in law said the same thing!
Why are you thinking of what everybody is thinking of
This channel makes me so happy
The most useless baby swing ever created with the highest price tag
I bought 4moms from another mom her son grew out of it. I paid $150. There is no point of buying it brand new.
Buying it second-hand is a great idea. A friend is actually borrowing ours right now until the baby gets a little older. So much better to save that money.
Keren Furtado true I paid 50 for mine really good condition
I agree I wouldn't pay full price either, I rather find it used from someone that rather sell for less.
There is if you don’t know anyone with one...
Same here I always see them selling for second hand. I bought it for $180 AU when it retails here in aus for $550AU
I see that sneaky MKBHD t-shirt! Love Marques' channel!
I think being familiar with the return policy is a good idea. I wanted to try one, but for what it costs there was so much more I could buy. I am glad I never did get one. Very well said. Thanks for chiming in with that.
My baby loves it. Definitely less space taking on floor; I have a small house. I’ve Been using since baby was newborn and he is now over 5 months old... he can be in there for hours. Really helped me a lot!!!!! I guess every baby is different.
We got ours used for much less, which I think is the best option for the mamaroo.
Great baby name. We named our son who was born 6 days ago Henry as well.
My baby LOVES it .. that’s was a must have for our family .
Did you think of purchasing it second hand? I am a mom of 9 so no shame in my game, purchasing 2nd hand and washing things up on sanitary mode ... 👍
Buying it second hand is the way to go in my opinion. Mom of 9! I could learn a ton of things from you.
My mom found one at a yard sale $10!!!
Nothing wrong with buying 2nd hand! :)
buy a tv
I have the 2015 version, and you hit all the points spot on! I totally agree with everything you mentioned in this review. I also would not recommend this product.
I love this, I suggest it for anyone. Yes, the audio is kind of crap, BUT my baby loves it.
My baby loves it. Worth what I paid for it but I bought mine used. My 4 month son is only 12 lbs so I see alot of use for this still
I just got one of these for my son who just had a baby and omg it is the best thing ever they love it and baby loves it
My wife got one of these free from going onto a talkshow and my baby at 2 months doesn't seem to really like it, which sucks because it seemed like a great solution. Since we have a Nuna carseat/stroller, I'm thinking of giving the leaf a try.
Isaiah Garcia Hello I'm expecting in November can I purchase yours?
I bought the nuna leaf as I did researched when I was debating between Nuna leaf and 4mons Mamaroo. We got one donated to us for our newborn foster son. He didn't like it. He preferred the baby swing and bouncy chair. Every baby is different.
I would like to see a review on the nuna
Great video. My newborn loves this thing.
Does the cord in the front needed? I don’t have mine

I want to see you review the nuna leaf.

My daughter was a preemie in NICU, they had to rest her gut for 5 days due to a dairy allergy, so no food. This was the only thing that calmed her down
I actually bought this and excited waiting for it to arrive because the swing she already had wasn't safe.
Great review! The same things I thought!
Do you plan on doing a review of the nanit baby monitor?
I do. I just met with their marketing team to see if they could send it over. It's very powerful and could contend for one of the best of 2018. More to come.
Dad Verb awesome looking forward to it, expecting my first kid in November! Want to make sure I get this best one out there
Got this second hand free and I was warned that her son would only sleep with rocking motions after her baby was in this for a month so I used it sparingly when my son was a NB. Cool I just came across a dad who vlogs about baby stuff coz mostly it's the mom's job to do this lmao new subscriber btw
Thank you so much this was a big eye opener and a big help thank you there was nobody I've come across actually did the newer model VS the younger model they've only done two different models the rocker and the mama bounce and I was more worried about the models what's the difference of what they've changed and all that so thank you so much it's very helpful

What year was the dial version made I can’t find reviews anywhere? Or do you know what it called ? I’m trying to compare all versions
Shel Sparkle that one is the 4moms rockaroo
Will you do a review on the graco slim spaces compact swing?
Might take me some time, but yes. In all honesty, I'd probably buy a Rock n Play as my first choice and Slim Spaces as my second. The mamaRoo is too pricey for it only having a 50-50 chance of the baby liking it.
Used ours for a week and it makes a weird knocking sound when it completes a full motion 🤷🏽♂️ it’s really annoying
Did you go to BYU?
Love this channel! Wish you guys uploaded more. Our daughter is 4 months. It's cool watching a channel we can relate to. Start a vlog channel?!
4 moms have a little bit of respect were paying over 200 for this thing 😂😂😂 love it
I need this please Tell me were to buy it is it available in the UK please
How can I play my own music on this exact model?
Yes sound quality horrible!! Can u make a video how to connect ur phone. This touch screen one is not sold anymore in stores.
I just got the mamaroo. One question what week should I start placing my newborn onto it?
Try Graco Sense 2 Soothe swing
Is it safe for newborns?
I got one and my baby hate it. I know all babies are different but most moms that I know that have had it for their child didn’t like either. They are too hype and the company knows how to market it and that most new parents try it.
You should’ve bought the Snoo Smart Sleeper. It’s the best
Everyone here is buying this second hand and you’re suggesting a product that cost like $1200 usd..
New subscriber here! I appreciate your reviews because they really intrigue my husband 😊
Bought it for our son, love it
D. Krebs how old the baby was the time u bought it plz...
Emdad Shahnewaz Chowdhury we got it before he was even born
Started using it when he was around one (1) month old. We are still using it. He is now a little less then nine (9) m.o.

Completely agree about the resale value. Great to hear your thoughts. Thank you
thank you brother
Lol, poor guy. Almost all babies are like that for at least the first four months. It's just the process. Blessings to your family.
I have both 2015 and 2017 on different floors no difference to me just go with the cheaper one my opinion
Whats the main difference between these two ? Im going to buy
I made my husband by this for our baby and she hated it and cried in it every single time we put her in it. I had to return it then my sister gave me her Graco swing and she loved it and fell asleep in it all the time. Moral of the story: splurging isn't always the best
What graco type
How much please ?
My baby didn’t like it, she preferred a swing we got from a friend that was like 8 years old 😊
Great channel!!!!!! I'm going to be a new father and felt the same as you!!!! I really want the mamaroo because it's a cool gadget. Haha. But you're the second person I heard that said the baby didn't like it. I may get the rockaroo
Any chance of a link to the Graco baby swing as that seems like the best fit for my little girl
Here it is! amzn.to/2DstiA5
DadVerb cheers pal, I’ve subscribed so keep up the good work as I’m new to this parenting thing and tech is something I would love to incorporate 👍🏻
DadVerb the Greco swing,... does it swing on its own or do I have to swing it with my hands and feet?
I have that problem with the toy bar it's not sitting low. Do you recommend ordering a new toy bar replacement?
I just go mine can wait to used if you got the money buy it😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
We use it now that our son is over 4 months, but got it as a gift.
Great insight, thanks for sharing!
JDW W that is sooo true!!!!!
I didn't buy this yet but the White Noise did sound a little harsh it didn't sound soft and soothing I'd rather go on TH-cam and listen to thunderstorm and rain
Thank you!
Save your money I'm a new mom and I'm very frugal. There are many better affordable options.
It's not worth that to buy brand new when you're on a tight budget buy it used on your local Facebook yard sell sites... You can remove the whole entire cover and wash it and you can replace it
This right here is the best advice.
Do I see an omega??
Do you mean my watch? haha, no, it's actually a Fossil. I used to work for them producing video content. Got some hefty discounts on a bunch of their watches. An Omega would be nice though.
Babies want to be close to mummy or daddy so a much better investion is a baby sling or wrap. Baby is close to you, you can walk around, get stiff done, be hands free and baby will sleep in it no bother :)
A ring sling is amazing! Every new parent should give it a shot.
Love It Love Leny Fremouw
I got that for my daughter she only used it for 4 months after that I got scared she might fall out
I plan to buy it used for 100 dollars
I return mine it was the 2017 baby hated it
Thanks for this video, i have a question for you please.
Thank yu
Ur next baby try Graco Soothe My Way Swing with Removable Rocker, Madden base in all reviews I’m gonna remove mamarooh off my regiatry
Inwill buy it used
We got one in 2011 and our son hated it and would scream if we put him in it.
I would save my money
Lmao can I have it I been struggling to fix mine I bought it off Facebook and paid 70 and since been trying to fix it i have the 2015 model I’m close to giving up can’t find the problem tried everything but cool video I ended up on your video to see if it was even worth it to have this thing ☹️

+1 :)
No!! Don't buy, my babies hated it... its so slow!! My babies prefer the fisher price swing, which I requested on my registry and my sister in law got me this thing instead my son cried on all the time...
