- I want to let you know my honest opinion of the 4moms Mamaroo swing since it is a very pricey product! This is the kind of review I was looking for before we we purchased this swing. Here I answer the burning question, is this swing worth its hefty price tag?

Thank you so much for this video! My grandpa got me this swing for my baby and I didn’t know about the infant insert, so I just ordered it so it’ll be ready to use when he comes home from the hospital

Albee baby has the best price for a new swing but purchasing used is also great! I'm a mom of three and have a bit of experience.
The 4moms site has $100 off thru 4/8/22, if someone sees my comment in time and really wants to get one. Thx for review. I was considering getting one only because $100 off (no grandchild yet lol). But not thinking I will even get on as the whole point is to soothe baby and it doesn’t seem successful the majority of the time. I do love the look. But fisher price it will be in future. Thanks for this! Both my older sons had a fisher price swing and they LOVED it. I guess we’re a swing family too lol. We’re tight on space with this baby, so I was contemplating buying this one cuz it’s compact. My SIL warned me my nephew didn’t like his mamaroo swing and after this review, I think I’ll save my money.

Thank you. I was considering this for my daughters baby, but since you and others I’ve written had problems getting in contact with customers service because some functions stopped working, I’ll be looking for a Fisher-Price product or something similar. Also it’s not ready to go for newborns ugh…
Thank you for making this video! I was 100% on getting this swing because it seems so modern for a baby swing. But after hearing what happened with the swing stopped working and even with a warranty no one was able to reach out to for customer service made me realize that this swing is not worth the money. I was kind of excited about the Bluetooth until I found out it needs an aux to play music. The speaker are horrid and the sounds they give you are no better than distorted sound. So the sound portion is useless to me. But the rocking and movements it has is really nice. Is it worth it? Probably not. I got it for my baby shower so it’s the only reason I have it.
Worth it, no. Let's face it. It is a luxury item that does what no other swing does (though technically it isn't swing at all. Is the cost justified? Yes. It is very high quality in construction and function. It's truly top of the line. The motor is whisper quiet which is an amazing feat considering how much torque is required to move a relatively heavy infant and change direction quickly.
Can you please give me the link to the over crib canopy and the decals on the wall? My gf seen this and now she has to have them!

I think you should also take into consideration what the baby likes. I bought this to my niece, cause we have been doing squats non-stop to make her sleep (up and down motion). She hates swings (left right). That should be what you look at when putting money on this. If your baby doesn't like up down, better stick to left right machines lol that's my 2 cent on this.

Interesting that the price for this swing is what vintage battery operated swings like the one I used in the 90's. And I know why these vintage swings are in such demand. The arms which connect the swing to the top support is much longer. This gives a long sweeping motion rather than the tipping motion of virtually all the new swings. If you can spend that much on a swing - get the vintage one if you can find one! My babies lived it. I wish I had saved it.
Just recently purchased a MamaRoo for my nephew. I got it second hand (almost new) for $75 USD. Hoping our nephew will like it.
Wow what a great Auntie he has! 💕Hopefully he likes it more than my baby did. It’s really a hit or miss.

Totally agree! NOT WORTH IT. We received this as a gift and as I un boxed it, the packaging says PRODUCT IS NOT RETURNABLE ONCE FABRIC IS OPENED. (Red flag there) So I set it up without the fabric to see how it works. I didn't like that my Samsung tablet would not connect or recongnize the AUX cable, However my Samsung Galaxy 9s did.
Long story short...
1. Customer service number doesn't work
2. Infant insert sold separately
3. Bluetooth does not connect to your Pandora, SiriusXM or Spotify. Only useful for controlling the on-board settings from your phone.
4. The mobile isn't really a mobile
5. AUX cable doesn't connect to every device
Mines won’t stay on shuts off after few seconds. I see a lot of people having same issue. Any suggestion?

I currently have the mamaroo and my baby hates it! I can only leave her in there for 10-15 minutes before she starts crying! I just purchased the fisher price snuggapuppy and based on reviews it should be a much better swing for soothing and sleeping. You are totally right in saying “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”! Mamaroo is high tech garbage!

The sound on mine also does not work!
We just got this in the mail. Speakers suck. No lullaby or baby songs. 1 out 10 lol

Oh no!! That is not good. You can try to contact their customer service otherwise hopefully you can still return it.
I too was drawn in by the lure of this swing but just the fact that they didn't just throw in the Newborn pad really bugs me knowing that its first used BY A NEWBORN...i also liked the different motions it had but if babies dont like it much why waste your money i can buy my grandson a different swing and extra things with that money

Yes! I have heard great things about the Fisher Price snugapuppy/snugabear swings. If I had to go back I would have purchased that one.

I can definitely relate! Was in your shoes not that long ago. Of course, every baby is different and prefers different things but my son just did not enjoy the swing to sleep! He would sit in it for brief stints. Let me know if you do end up getting it and what your baby thinks!
I wouldn’t get it. I have it and it sucks. Check out the fisher price snuggapuppy cradle n swing instead

I would say it's a nice middle ground! It is much more comfortable with the newborn insert.

@@32ghostworld would you say it was work it for under 100? One was selling for 35 but apparently theirs breaks past 15 lbs. Otherwise it's about 70-90.
@@ABC-rg4li they start to have issues. I bought 5 in 5 months. One stopped working....one makes a loud noise.....I think they are good if u buy them used. I paid $39-$60 so it's fine. But don't buy new $400. Not worth it.

I just wanted to say whoever wants to buy this swing its trash. When we just bought it it made lot of noise was planning to send it back but the baby didnt mind it. After 3months of use now theres some kind of glitch it stops after few seconds. So save your money get something else.
Based off your reviews and the others I read on Amazon, I just took this off of my registry 😂 everyone says that something on it or the swing entirely stops working in 1-2 months and that doesn’t sit well with my pockets 😂
So exciting, I miss registry hunting!! It’s definitely not for everyone, I highly recommend the fisher price swings though! My older son was obsessed.

How old was your son in this video? And how much did he weight? My son is 21 lbs and 4 month 1/2 he wants to be swinging and i cant do that because he is so heavy. Do you think he would fit in?
My son is 4 months old in this video and he is quite the big guy too! The weight limit on the swing is 25 lbs so it seems like he is definitely getting close to that mark.

Why didn’t you keep the swing with your first child? Are you not supposed to re use them for multiple children?
That is a great question! There is an 8 year age gap between my two babies and that was WAY too long to hang onto the first swing otherwise we totally would have. The fisher price swing we got back then was lent to a couple of friends after my son used it so it definitely got some baby love.
