Not really, just cause you are sitting at the station and you get a call doesn’t mean you can leave without getting manpower first cause you can’t really do shit on a call by yourself
Great job! Just because the tones drop and pagers and sirens are going off does not mean we panic and start rushing. Even if its a time sensitive emergency, theres 3 things we must keep in mind as firefighters. 1 we are already late to the call 2 its not our emergency so the calmer we are, the smoother things go 3 we are there to help whoever is in need and we must stay calm and professional even if we're critisized for our response times or whatever it may be. Cool, calm and collected.
I would had waited till another driver or a CPR certified member showed up because 9 times out of 10, they will want one of us to go to the ER with them to help work the patient in the ambulance. Which in this scenario I did. And our department rule of thumb is always *Must have two to roll.*
Probably against SOP. At least in my department you can't POV to the scene unless it's EMS related and your EMS certified but even then, POVs to the scene are limited.

@@emt_luke I didn’t use a program software for my lights. My lights were all simply plug and play with sync wires, etc. However, my Federal Signal SSP3000B in a different story. FS has all the links on their website to where you can download what you need.

Yes. I believe if you don't, gas will still leak through the burners and since that stove is so old, I wanted to make sure it was off all the way. lol

That button is to either activate or shut the siren down
