The thing for me, while Superman may not be my “ffaaaAAvorite” superhero… He is an amazing superhero character. He’s one of the original superhero. A man, who can do anything, who is stronger than us, faster than us and always self-sacrificing. Superman makes you want to be a better man. A protector. A savior. He can do things every guy wishes he could do for his loved ones. And even if his story gets stale every so often or he seems “invincible” at times, I feel Superman ALWAYS deserves a spotlight. Because his story never gets old, and he still inspires us as fans!
I just realized that the typography is also reminiscent of the titles of the 1978 Superman. The other heroes are Justice Society of America if I'm not mistaken.
The other superhero’s in this like green lantern, Hawkgirl, Mr. Terrific etc have brief scenes apparently. James Gunn emphasised that this won’t be another Superman origin story. He wants to show that It’s an already established universe.
Ever since 2002, I have been severely pissed off about supehero movie fans. As a comic readers watching and talking to people who don't know shit about anything at all judging things they know nothing about will always be something I'm working on, but it drives me absolutely nuts. I've been a Mister Terrific fan since 2011 and I have never been happier than to see him on the big screen. My love for superman knows no bounds.. just sick of movie fans
This looks amazing! I actually love the casting choices for Superman and Lex Luther. It looks like they’re going back to a more traditional Hollywood superhero movie.
Superman gets beat up all the time, in every movie, tv show, and comic. If you want to see a relatable Superman, look at Superman and Lois, the tv show that just ended. Superman has a family, a kid with mental health issues, and he has very human problems. Tyler Hoechlin is probably my favorite Superman, including Christopher Reeves.
I'm a bit surprised when you said you didn't agree with starting with Superman for this new DC Studios era. Who would you start with? Matt Reeves' The Batman is out there, so starting with another version of Batman wouldn't make sense and it may just be me, but Superman is one of the most iconic superheroes and when I think DC, I think Superman and Batman. Every generation has their Superman and he's all about hope, which feels like exactly what we need these days. I think it looks great.
Great reaction. Brandon Routh and George Reeve were the other Superman actors. Even nic cage to a degree lol Good to see Guy Gardner (green lantern) and Mr Terrific in the energy shield.
Oh there's no "almost" about it IMO, this _is_ a consciously lighter film that's leaning into the "hope" element (the palette, the suit, the kid with the flag etc.), which for me is an essential truth of the character that Zach Snyder never quite grasped - you don't darken Superman, he _lightens_ us. Personally _i'm_ bored with the "darkness and moral compromise are 'adult' and compassion and fundamental decency are 'too simplistic'" direction of recent years so based on the teaser at least, this feels like a breath of fresh air (albeit "fresh" air that dates back _at least_ as far as 1978 :). It baffles and kind of amuses me that people will believe a guy can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes but _uncompromising kindness_ !? Nah, _that's_ obviously ridiculous :).

THIS is exactly what Superman is all about... This trailer was absolutely brilliant for setting the tone of the new film.

You’ve won me over! 💥
It makes you feel hopeful, and that’s what Superman used to be. Can’t wait

Yeah he said this is a world that already has superheroes and people know that they exist so Superman is not that total exception.
Aww, I had a Tear in my Eye. 😢
Bless Christopher Reeves.
I’m looking forward to this though.
😃😊

James Gunn said when he was writing the script said that the storyline for the film was inspired by Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
First! Quite looking forward to this. I'm glad they've kept the John Williams theme.
yes it was a total throwback for me x

Absolutely! I love the music choice!

Why didn’t the Christopher Reeves documentary get shortlisted for the Oscars?

You mean the golden globes? Because i think it's early for Oscar predictions.

Love it. The rendition of the Williams theme. And as soon as Krypto arrived I was completely sold.
This trailer sent shivers down my spine. The electric guitar theme is epic.

Looks good definitely one to watch
I think it’s an awesome teaser and I’m definitely watching it!! 🤙🏽
I didn’t know how much I needed Krypto in this film.
It's not a origin story
Didn’t say it was - part of the film is HIM exploring his own origin …

Love superman 2 😺
Its more childish than beloved Superman 1-2 really. I liked those but this will be for kids only? I will watch it though of course.
The hording of it all... 😵💫
😍😍😍😍
Utter rubbish, the dog looks ridiculous
I think Krypto is going to be an absolute hit with children and adults alike.
