Zack Snyder fanboys are pissed right now. They're collective moans can be heard around the world. That man butchered Superman, let's hope James Gunn rectifies him.
Which I never understood I can understand liking Zack Snyder's take on it but it's like cult level with the hate it just seems weird you would think you would want to see the superheroes evolve especially in the cinema
1:29 - not sure what you’re on about because Superman has been hurt lots of times throughout his history, most of his villains can challenge him on a physical level and so can many of the Justice League members as well as other DC heroes and villains. And the fact that Superman gets singled out for this baffles me because Wonder Woman, Shazam, Thor, Hulk, etc, are all just as “invincible” as Superman and they don’t even have any super weaknesses like Kryptonite. But I get it, if you’re only familiar with the movies he can come across as “invincible” but even then he has been shown to struggle in some films.
This will be the second Green lantern Nathan Fillian, because he voiced Hal Jordan in the original Dcamu, also Viola Davis is still going to be Amanda Waller for the DCU
This feels like Animated Series version done live. Powered down, some familiar faces, oddly enough - dragon (T-Rex in the animated one). There are two versions of him I hold dear. Reeves - for the symbol and charm that he is. And Daly - for the actual character and stakes he has to contend with given while he's powetful, he's not invincible and his 'city made of cardboard' speech at the finale of JLU is probably my most fave Superman monologue ever.
@@constructking8850 Um, hello!? C.C.H. Pounder! Voice of Amanda Waller in DC Animation, from the Bruce Tim-verse Justice League/Justice League Unlimited to Batman: Assault on Arkham.
He’s also did 28 days later and the music for that is absolutely iconic as fuck, the main theme “in the house in a heartbeat” is legendary and has been used in so much stuff over the years. The score of this music is in fantastic hands with Murphy and I think he’s gonna knock it out the park
So here's my thing about the MCU going off track based on what Nate said. some of the stuff they bought in for the last phase, Kate Bishop, Shang-chi, Ms. Marvel, they were great, each being well done and setting up a new era of heroes.....and I've yet to see them do anything with them since. and it doesn't help they kept changing course after the actor for Kang got into legal trouble and now they switched up the entire plan while in the middle of it to become a Dr. Doom thing even after setting up the Kang wars. and now with the new DC films and shows, if they want to include a ton of characters, give them something to do, or at least keep them around for more than a single one-off project never to be seen again.
The hatred or dislike for superman comes from a place of extreme bias, ignorance, and hypocrisy. The same people that love Goku (whos an invincible god now with no weaknesses) dont like superman
So not only Krypto, but Guy Gardner green lantern, Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific is going to be in this movie?! Yes... yes. This teaser trailer has got me hyped!
when y’all get the chance you should react to creature commandos its an animated series that takes place in the new dcu and it’s created by james gunn and it’s pretty kick ass so far
There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile
I don’t know where you got the Gunn/Firefly connection. I had to check because I knew it was created by joss whedon but maybe Gunn wrote or directed some episodes, but there’s nothing. I think you’re peeing outside of the litter box on this one.
Also - Baldwin would be cool as - Rick Flagg (in the vein of second Kinnaman outing) or, if you want even more obscure old-school - 'Wildcat' Ted Grant, a gruff street fighter vigilante, world class boxer and one of Wayne's teachers.
It really depends on the writing. If the writer can't get the character right (or the heads of a company won't let em do more with said character), then of course the character will suffer
Okay, since you guys asked about opinion then here is mine. In general, I like the trailer. But Superman's suit still sucks. It looks like a combination of CW and Injustice 2 suits made by a cosplayer on a low budget. Like, why not give Superman his iconic original classic suit with actual muscles definition? Was it that hard?? Like, I don't understand. The Hawkgirl looks okay, but Green Lantern looks like a dork. I don't feel anything towards Mr. Terrific, since I have no idea who he is and what does he do. I only saw him once, and that was, I believe in Justice League Unlimited back as a kid and that's it. And the only thing why I remember him is his T paint on his face. Going back to Green Lantern, I get it that they wanted to explore different Lantern but why making him look like a dork? The only character that I liked from this trailer is Krypto. That dog is very cute! But that dog is not enough to make me get hyped about this new Superman movie. Yes, I hope for it to be actually good despite characters design, but knowing in what age we are living, I don't want to jump ahead of the train. And while my hopes are for the best, I'm also ready for this movie to be bad. Since, apparently these days we can't have good movies anymore because, almost every single movie is a political trash. Exception is Deadpool and Wolverine. That movies is just godlike!
This suit, while silly looking, is still closer to the Christopher Reeves suit and better than the New 52 sh-t from Man of Steel. Sorry, no disrespect to Henry Cavill; he definitely looked and acted the part of Superman, and I don't blame him for the writing or directing choices made in Man of Steel or Dawn of Justice, but Snyder fans need to let it go with their butt hurt. They won the battle, and they got their Snyder Cut, but WB Discovery won the war with their dumba-s restructuring. One thing I will agree is their disrespect to Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner. He deserved better as a Green Lantern. When he has done a better Hal Jordan Green Lantern in animation than Ryan Reynolds ever did in live action, who should've been Kyle Raynor honestly, you know WB goofed up. Heck, why not make Fillion a classic Green Lantern like Alan Scott? I would've liked to see that adapted to the big screen.
@@sebastianemond5313 I'm sorry, WHAT??? This new Superman suit doesn't even look closely to one that Christopher Reeve had in his movies. I have no idea, how come did you came to conclusion that it looks close to it. Because it is not! Not even a tiny little bit close! In fact, it looks more like New 52 but with underwear over his pants. Like all of those patterns, long collar and belt looks more like if New 52 were adapted to live action. And then the suit looks baggy. Also put in the fact that David Corenswet worked his a$$ out, according to his photos in social media, and now because of that suit we can't even appreciate his physique because you can't even see it. It feels like the suit doesn't even fit him. Like it's too big for him or something. And since you decided to bring in Henry Cavill Superman suit, his suit were more classic looking than this new one. Just give it underwear over his pants with yellow belt, make colors brighter and slap the logo on his cape and that's it! So I disagree with you 100% on this subject. As for Green Lantern, I agree that they could have put someone else in. Instead we have a middle age dork looking lantern.
@deathcold_longplaysua4846 Jeesh, act like I kicked you in the balls with my opinion. Sorry, I just don't share the same sentiment you have for the Superman that lets wanton destruction happen too often, surrounded by too much artsy God symbolism rather than making him a fleshed out and relatable person. Not a relatable alien or a human, but just a person with thoughts and feelings, not speeches and cliches. The way they made Superman in Man of Steel; he acts like he wants nothing to do with helping humanity, and they had to kill him off in two movies just for him to matter in the Justice league. But hey, to each their own. If you saw more in Snyder's Superman, good for you. But ones like Christopher Reeves or Tom Welling were my go to Superman. Heck, Tyler Hoechler was a better Man of Steel, and his show was the epilogue for the CW.
Most beautiful teaser trailer I’ve ever seen.
Ladies and gentleman, we finally got the true accurate Superman back.
James Gunn has officially done the impossible. He’s gonna save DC.
Plus, Krypto!
Yea trailer looks really good. It only took them getting a guy who worked for marvel to steer the ship right lol

You haters are more obsessed with Snyder than his fans, lol. You do know it’s possible to praise something without tearing something else down, right?
His iteration did not “butcher” Superman lol.

For the first time I am actually excited for a Superman film.
Superman in the Yamcha pose is crazy 😂
10:56 Viola Davis is staying as the DCU's Amanda Waller btw.
Yeah, she’s pretty much the universal voice for Waller. I’ve NEVER heard another version of the character that isn’t her.

I barely recognized Nick without glasses.
I liked the Superman cameo they did in the Crisis crossover they did for the Arrowverse where they brought in the smallville version of Superman
And on july 11th, he rose from the dead 👍🏾 great reaction 👏🏾
Brings me back to what Superman should be & Reeves

Ironically enough one of the best modern Superman comic series is him getting even stronger and more abilities

I’m so happy that this trailer brings out the best in Superman and those small glimpses of hope that his symbol gives❤
They can do Jon Cryer as General Zod
Please, no.
Hell no he already ruined lex.
Would love Nate to do movie reviews
The guy u were talking about is playing Mr terrific he also played Darwin in X-Men first class
Nicholas Hoult, the new Lex Luthor, was also Beast from First Class.

There's a starman waiting in the sky
He'd like to come and meet us

Love from a JeremyJahns and Vaush fan!
Is the guy in the suit the actor who played agent 47 in the hitman film?
No, it's Nicholas Hoult, who played Beast in X Men prequels. Rupert Friend from Homeland played Agent 47.

Superman is kind of like the Mickey Mouse of the DC Universe. Definitely the most popular, not the most interesting.
