I disagree with Damichaels take on Taylor's minute distribution. Yes, Taylor played them a little bit more, but it was the timing of those minutes. He took Ja and Jaren out with around 7 minutes to go with them up around 9. Play them the whole 4th quarter!
I think they bros off the court & have a relationship where when they see each other on the court it’s UP lol after the game everyone was dapping up even after all the crazy talk
We love your insights and optimism, Damichael (even though you're paid to be optimistic, of course). Yet, I can't help wondering if Jenkins, great a coach as he is, is capable of making the right decisions and the necessary adjustments in the clutch now and in the playoffs later, given that he's been outsmarted by higher-level coaches numerous times this season despite the new offense and availability of the core players.
Hard fought game...but...we still turn the ball over way too much. And...why in the heck are we going over screens at half court? I was screaming at the tv right along with Brevin....Houston was just allowing us to fight over them and then playing 5 on 4 driving to the hoop. We never adjusted.
Edey is very wobbly inside right now, but he’s a rookie. People forget that when they criticize him. Dude is turning into a defensive maniac and we see glimpses of offensive insanity as well. I agree that we need to keep that dish off to Edey alive, if for no other reason, to tighten up the defense and provide more perimeter space.
@ Disagree about him being “very wobbly inside”. 99% of the balls that he “mishandles” are do to guys ignoring him while he has position because they want to drive and play hero-ball, only to get themselves in to trouble & make bad bailout passes.
It all comes back to the rotations. When Bane got hot in the 3rd quarter, he took Ja and Jaren out, which allowed the rockets to put Amen Thompson on Bane and trap him a couple times, and bane was shut out after that. Imo Ja should have played the whole 3rd with Bane, then make Scotty and Luke start off the 4th with Jaren. I think we'll be in bigger problems when GG and Vince come back because Jenkins will have more rotation problems. Which is why we need to make the roster a bit smaller imo. Trade 2 or 3 for a good 1. Also, i think Jay Huff should have been used. Clarke was -16 and played 25 mins. I know Huff isnt good defensively, but a stretch 5 gives way more options offensively and can spark runs. Rotations are going to be a problem for the entire season. I hope it doesnt roll over into the playoffs
The Grizz's leading minutes per game player is JJJ at 29.3 minutes/game. That would put him 110th in the NBA in minutes per game. DC....this is not normal. Good episode man!
Let’s be for real and tell it like is now. Jenkins got out coach by a lot let’s stop the sugar coating lol. The minute thing you said is definitely false. Go look at all the big games we had those team starters played well over 35 minutes so this has nothing to do with those injured players. And last Ja did not have a good game he played selfish and got caught in a one on one battle. Those 7 turnovers could have been 10+ let be for real now. And those shots he was taking was terrible and force during the game. The fact Jaren only took 12 shots and Bane 13 and they was shooting better says a lot about his 4 assist. If anyone notice when Ja is not playing pass first we struggle and he forcing things. But when he pass first and get his offense in the flow of the game he’s under control and we usually wins that game. Dude has to be a point guard and stop trying to score. I done said it for 4 years now play through Jaren because he’s the best player and he now have shown why when he get the shots.

Ja Bane can do all the goofy 𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕥 but that stops when the buzzer ends and the Rockets have the highest score on the board.
You misunderstand. 1) "Double Dribble" is an NES video game from 1987, where the most popular, and absurd play is a guy running full speed, falling out of bounds in the corner, throwing up a shot that goes in. That's what Green did last night. It was wild to watch, but probably not gonna happen often. 2) Having Eason and Smith and you're probably not getting minutes from Whitmore and Wiggins who made big 3's for you. And you've got some inaccurate info-The last time the fully healthy Grizzlies played the fully healthy Rockets (Eason and Smith played) the Grizz swept the series. It was 2023, but it was all the main cast (minus Van Vleet for you and Brooks/Adams were Grizzlies) 3) If you're not familiar with Smart and Williams defense, I'm not trying to convince you. I stand by what I said: Jalen Green had a tremendous game that would probably look a little different if he had our toughest defenders. 4) I've got three clips from last night of Amen Thompson fouling Ja's shot attempt and not getting called for it. Maybe it makes a difference in the game, maybe it doesn't. But it damn sure wasn't perfect lockdown defense by Thompson. He got away with a lot. 4) Rockets will be in the playoffs. Good. Theyre an exciting young team. But you came on this page with other Rockets fans taking veiled shots with missing context. So i added some context.

So keep downplaying the team that beat yall 3 times and 2nd in the west we snatched the 2nd seed from yall after we lost in the cup conference finals And ran with it. I would love to see yall in the playoffs so Amen and Tari put the clamps on Ja and Bane again.
It was 2023, but it was all the main cast (minus Van Vleet for you and Brooks/Adams were Grizzlies)
3) If you're not familiar with Smart and Williams defense, I'm not trying to convince you.
@@vincenttorello9603 given your response I can confidently say I have nothing further to say to you. Bringing up a 2 years ago team is hilarious. Aye man we have different opinions. And two different teams. My team happened to buss your team 𝖆𝖘𝖘 3 times in a row. And your team got spanked. 3 times. You’re suppose to beat a team that isn’t fully healthy. We’re the 2nd seed who done what we were suppose to do. Beat the lower seeded team. Look at the stats and scoreboard from every game THIS SEASON. Jalen (Not an all star) outplayed Ja (1st team All NbA Guard) everytime. I’ll gladly take that. Considering we won every game
🚀🚀🚀
The Grizzlies are just a mediocre team that’s had an easy schedule so far.
No they need a new coach. Jenkins sub starters in 5 mind left in game everything. Leads get tossed and basically cost us many games like this all season
@@brandoonf6962 it is weird they played all their games against wizards pistons trailblazers and barely seen okc wolves clippers and Dallas. Other teams been having back to backs with them
They have the number 5 defense and number 5 offense in the league.
That’s just stupid
@ they have the easiest record doing that.. some of the teams we comparing ourselves to have played the rockets okc and clippers several times already
@ memphis have completed their series with the trailblazers and wizards while our rivals been playing the Cavs Knicks okc several times and wolves 4 times already. Huge difference
The rotations just didn’t make sense. They made Bane the only ball handler way too many times. They took out every offensive option except for him in the 4th. He didn’t play Kennard with Ja for some reason. Would’ve made more sense if Ja was on the court with Kennard more because he would’ve had better looks. I love that LaRavia is embracing being a role player but I would like him to be more confident is his shooting because he would have some open looks but would look to give the ball up. He’s shooting 40% from 3 this season. There’s not reason he shouldn’t be taking those 3s.
