    I’ve been saying this the entire season. We are able to stifle teams with our defense but we simply cannot generate enough consistent offense to win games over time. Defense gets our foot in the door, but we need more shooting to really get over the hump. I liked that Ime has been giving Reed more minutes to get his confidence up and maybe that’s what we need coming up this season

  • @icrashout

    In my personal opinion if you look at the majority of the Rockets strengths and weaknesses I believe this team has ironically but not purposefully taken on the identity of Tari Eason and Amen Thompson…defense first, athletic, forcing turnovers, getting out in transition, offensive rebounding while not being a great shooting team and occasionally not finishing at the rim well…

    • @MikeSchmidt969
      @MikeSchmidt969 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Agreed. I think both Eason and Thompson are better defenders than Brooks. Imagine if they didn't have to waste minutes playing Brooks and his massively inconsistent play. For some reason Brooks gets credit for being "physical", but he's basically a cheap shot artist and a flopping clown. I wish the Rockets weren't wasting so much money on his meager numbers.

    I think the team needs to get a real 3 point threat to help space the floor, you really just need another threat that can start splashing 3s and help space the floor a bit more to keep opposing defenses more honest to open up the slashers more for the players that don't have a solid 3ball. The Rockets are a treat to watch defensively though for the most part, a lot of games it seems like they are asleep in the first quarter/half and that really needs to shape up.

    Amen is straight up insanity. His size and conditioning at 21 is absolutely abnormal. Man do i love everytime he drains that 3 ball. Even when they give hime the space and dare him to shoot he still blew by them... lord have mercy when they cant give him space. Its over. Hate to say it but it will be over for Jalen Green too. He cant do 10% of Amens abilities. Not to put him down but IQ and just the feel for the game Amen has is really absolutely terrifying. This kid keeps knocking down those pull up mid range jumpers and knocking down tnose corner threes and we will be witnessing the best all around basketball player in the league. Hes already the best defender in the NBA. I mean you can talk all yoi want about wemby and Rudy blah blah... this kid can guard SGA Brunson Luka and then put hands on Bol bol jumshot. The reason Bol Bol took that jumper is because he literally looked at Amen and said its not physically possible for him to come up and get a pove of ghag ball. But the play that set up Jalen Green to poster Cade is one of the best defensive plays ever witnessed. Need to be watched 30 times to really understand the gloriness of that play. He literallly acts like hes setting up a play or calling for something. .. then in a split second knew EXACTLY where the ball would be so he coukd poke it away ... then beats Cade to the ball RIGHT before it goes out of bounds.... thennnnn KNOWS Jalen is trailing... WAITS IT LITERALLY delivers the perfect pass to allow Jalen go fully accelerate up with that dunk. If Jalen didnt buy him a a fat AP hes just a prick. Straight up. Because we ALL know Amen could've gone straight to that rim from any angle he wanted and if he accelerated from the second he picked up that ball we alll know the ending... he started then saw Jalen trailing and set him up. Must really watch that play slow motion and see how much vision IQ skill quickness sharpness and most importantly unselfish baskeball ive seen. Jalen makes that steal (which he just cant.... he wouldnt be able to think that well enough to fool Cade) but nobody can redo that play. Just simply inctedible. I hope and pray his bro gets back to 100% asap. But super after alll that time missed comes into the game and nothing but nets a 3 .... LOL. Its just perfect. Like ill show you what ive been doing for the past year. GO THOMPSON TWINS. .. league is yTWINSours. Nobody can play with you.

    What I do not like about this particular youtuber is how he really hates my bucks (tho this is only my opinion based on my own observations), I've been watching this channel for years now but I have noticed how he hates the bucks particularly Giannis.
    You notice his last uploads about the bucks since they are struggling he uploads the breakdown of "What's wrong with the bucks?" emphasizing Giannis' issues. Then weeks before that he uploads a video about Giannis basically saying how he elbows everyone that's why they are scared of defending him (for sure it's partially true) but noticed he hasn't upload a video talking good about the bucks these past few days, specially when they've been winning. Giannis also made adjustments on his playstyle by adding a smooth jumper, but this guy hasn't said anything about it.
    You could visit or watch the previous Bucks or Giannis' videos analysis videos on this channel, you could see what I am trying to say. He even rarely cover bucks. If you hate the Buks or Giannis that much, please at least tell us why.

    The future looks very promising for Houston in general, I'm very curious to see how this team will develop.

  • @DNotzz
    @DNotzz 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The truth is they will have to trade some of these young talented guys if they want to keep winning and actually contend. They need shooting. And unless some of these guys miraculously find a shot they will sorely miss it at some point. If I were them I’d be willing to trade Jabari and Jalen for more efficient players that take 3’s at those positions. You could package them and picks for a really good player imo. The question is WHO to target.

    0:40: Vanvleet ended his dribble with his left foot in the air and his right foot on the ground. (He's cradling the ball between his arm and his chest with his left foot high in the air.) This was a travel.

    how dont they make sense?? a bunch of quality players with a excellent coach who demands toughness on defense....that equals wins. this is confusing to you clowns who play in to all the 3 point shooting analytics crap. News flash!! you can be good without shooting 50 3's a game while playing hard nosed defense.

      Sure, but usually you're "good" because you finish well at the rim, for instance

    the nets built two different contenders in our era, with one winning a championship. it was just the wrong team being the celtics and the rockets

    Jalen is 22 years old with almost 20 points a game, why people keep focusing on Jalen like he is a problem, he is the only one on the team can create his own shots, everyone else is set shot, the Rockets would not be 15-7 without Jalen, look at Brook, Smith, you really think Fred can pump in 20 points a game every game with high % shot? who can save the team in clutch situation, stop being so hard on the kid. he will be the next Kobe in few more years, read my lips

      Not true. Sengun, VanVleet, and Brooks can create for themselves as well, so it should be easier for Jalen to be more efficient than he is, but he isn't.

    I'm a diehard Rockets fan, but they can win a 1st round matchup possibly a 2nd round matchup.
    By the way when Alpi fell he got rid of the ball before 3 seconds...
