It looks like they're listed based on the order they came out. I think it's a really good list, especially for one of the more "mainstream" music outlets.
Enjoyed the video as always, interesting list, was definitely surprised to see Brodequin, which was brilliant, would be interesting to see how many of these albums would actually appear on a full end of year list across all genres of metal, it definitely feels like death metal is exploding again from a popularity perspective or maybe it is simply me just becoming older and less willing to listen to mass consumerist metal...Cheers!!
Saw Fulci on the tour with I Am Morbid/Suffocation last week and they tore it up. You can totally see the momentum of them getting more popular and for good reason.
I don't know how they could get select these albums, the avaliation to pick them out, though I can partially agree on that. Heavyweights acts like Nile,Dark Tranquility,Opeth were able to deliver significant releases as an inclementation to this list.
Hi Melanie! If you want some nasty black/death metal with an old school attitude & production, check out "Feral Forms" (with members from Claustrum, The Secret, Grime). Their debut album is called "Through Demonic Spells" out on Everlasting Spew Records (november 2024). Hail from italy😎🇮🇹🤘 Full album here: th-cam.com/video/ULehepyDBd0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y-Z1J6upA4qKmOQ0

If you replace the "i" in Fulci with "rum", you would have "Fulcrum" -- which you could then use to push David Vincent off the stage.

For me the best Defeated Sanity album!
Agreed
No way does it beat Psalms.
No Slimelord is crazy
Agree...
A lot of good death metal was released this year. 200 stab wounds, hyperdontia, Necrot, Ulcerate, Skeletal Remains, tons.
Sanguinary totally stomps on Chronicles but I am pleased to see these masters getting the attention because they really deserve it.
Hope you can featured and review undrground metal bands from asia like japan, philippines, singapore, malaysia etc.
@@lumacangmichaeljohn I’ve talked about Anatomia, Viscera Infest, mvltifission over the last couple months. Give me more band names.
My favorite Death Metal release of 2024 is Rut - Morbid Thoughts Death/Crust to be totally accurate.
Huh. Loved and knew about decibel, but loud wire, huh? I’m a little scared. But I do use loud wire for their upcoming releases calendar. 🗓️ 💿
I was disappointed by Body Count. I think the only 2024 I liked are Vltimas and Earthburner.
Witch Vomit is so fucking good. Shocked they made it to Loudwire but not Decibel!
The person who made this list definitely watches Melanie loves deathmetal 😂🤘🏻
@@andrewguolo1643 drew 😂😂
I was watching Count Blagaroth and my wife said "I like the girl better".
HAHAHA aww Sean is great though.
Tell that to my wife. She's a real sass muffin.@@MelanieLovesDeathMetal

Except for MULDER, J Dawg would be like "WHO?!!!!"
He knows more than he lets on. Guaranteed.
Damn solid list. I own every one of them.
Not sure what's weirder and grosser
Loudwire is crap
The worst is metal sucks. Self righteous and finger wagging galore
