They’re great IEMs. I kinda wish the faceplate was black so it was more *stealth*, but overall the understated look is refreshing in comparison to some of the gaudy IEMs out there.
Hi David , nice and an honest review! Currently on my priority list but confused between these and the P5, need detailing as well as good imaging for music , any suggestions ?
I've only heard orchestra lite. Compared to the lite Quintet is more dynamic to my ears and has a more visceral bass. Also I find Quintets treble more exciting.
@@PrimeAudioReviews interesting. I have the Lites which I love but at times, I wish they had a little more “visceral-ness”, as you noted. But they are super smooth and coherent. However, I just purchased the Truthears Nova (1DD, 4BA) and so far I’m really enjoying those. They kind of give me that little “extra” in the frequency ranges but they could do with a touch more midrange. It’s very close to a Harmon tuning but it works for me.
This is a weird segment because there are a lot of differing opinions between trusted reviewers that typically agree most of the time. I was going between this, the Aful Performer 5, and the Pula P02. I ended up with the Aful P5s. So far I really like them but I do get the sense that they are a bit fatiguing for me after an hour or two at relatively low volumes. I definitely want to try the QE Quintet at some point. Maybe when 11.11 rolls around this year if some new hotness isn't out by then. The P5s are pretty close to end game for me as I get a bit more detail and bass than my beloved Letshuoer Galileos without moving to some extreme tuning that isn't Harman.
Was going to pull the trigger on P5 but then recently have been suggested to check on these , and they have my priority now, any idea how low can these go in sales , 11/11?
I really like the treble of this IEM. Also, the peak at 7.3k Hz is the same frequency as I am hearing. Another graph by other reviewers shows the peak at 8k Hz. The peaks didn't bother me at all. Awesome IEM for the sound, but I wish it has a custom looking faceplate.
These are more clinical and detailed (and brighter) than the Hype 2. I think Hype 2 is better suited for an all-rounder more casual use and Quintet suited for critical listening.
I think they look fantastic. Restrained but ulta high quality look. I don't want to put something in my ears that looks like its faceplate is some kind of abstract representation of a fruit salad.
I dig the Quintet with orchestral and acoustic music.
It's so good with orchestral!

Black is BEST. ☝🏼
Yep, a stealth version would be cool.
Thank you for taking the time to review. Would you say that these are similar to the Mangird Tea 1?
Nah these have more midrange body
Hi David , nice and an honest review!

Haven't tried the P5 I'm afraid.
Quintent vs Orchestra og? I own the Orchestra, does the Quintent offer me something different? Thanks

@@housepianist Zero Red probably gets you there
did you try the truthear nova? it has almost same tuning and i saw it will be on sale for like half of the quintet price
I just received the Nova but haven't tried it yet
@@PrimeAudioReviews if you happen to try them soon, can you tell if there is a difference in sound between silicone and foam eartips?
The Nova graph looks brighter. These look to be tuned more like Truthear Zero Red
On their way tomorrow at black Friday Amazon 220€ new .Unmissable!
How does the Quintet compare with the Kinera Celest Phoenixcall? Thanks! 😃🎶🎵
Phoenixcall has more lower mids body and forward mids in general. Quintet is more balanced and has a larger soundstage.
@@PrimeAudioReviews Thanks! Very helpful! Best wishes!
the way you talk is a blend of The critical drinker + dankpods
That's a good thing I hope 😅
Lol shit. Yeah i always thought he sounds like 2 guys I know but never could remember 😂
No assaulting insulting speech , it's the accent do you have any awareness , l guess you don't.@@datdudeinred
Kiwi Ears Quintet vs TANGZU - Wu Heyday which one do you recommend?
I prefer the Quintet. It's more high fidelity and has better soundstage and details.
I wish you'd do a video with all 3 - best bassheads, midsluts, treble heads you've heard.
They change so often nowadays!

@@juliuscharan3690 my guess is you may see them as low as $175 during one of the really big sales. $200 might a more normal sale price.
Solid Review Sir 👏👏
How is this compared to s12 pro? I am looking to get my first pair of iem and getting overwhelmed by choices.
Letshuoer S08 is a safe choice.
Is this thing better than the timeless
Are these good for metal music?
Amazing question, I wanna know the answer as well.
Yes. Good agile bass and lots of texture on electric guitars.
How do these compare to the Quartets? Is it worth the price bump ?
I prefer these over the Quartets but for Quartet money, I'd rec the Clavelon Delta, ArpegEar Hane or Letsh;uoer S08.
nice detailed review.
Ea1000 vs quintent. Which one you like?
Tough choice and I could live with either as a daily driver. But I'll say Quintet for its lovely bass response
About Lean mids , it's affecting by using silicon tips , try foam tips everyone.....enjoy !
Kiwi ears quintet vs simgot Ea1000 ? For Timbre, Fast Bass, Detail Retrieval & Metal music ?
Quintet wins for fast bass & detail retrieval. EA1000 slightly better timbre.
@@PrimeAudioReviews kiwi ears quintet, will it be good for various genres including Metal/ Metalcore ?
@AdityaSingh-tt4cs yes, it's very versatile and has good speed for metal.
@@PrimeAudioReviews Thanks, Chief 🫡
@@AdityaSingh-tt4csDid you like Quintet for metalcore and other similar music?
Nice review. I want them even more now, hahaha
Hi! A better iem than quintet under 500€?
Simgot EA1000 or DITA Project M.

I could wish for a prettier faceplate too but once I start listening it doesn't matter!
Kiwi Ears posted on their official instagram account that they're now doing custom face plates and I think custom IEMS too
Is there any IEM that is like 8/10 details and has forward signature like the s12
Sure. Do you mean in the same price range?
@@PrimeAudioReviews within in the 50$+ of the s12
Please how are these compared to moondrop blessing 3 or variations
More detailed and better clarity + soundstage than Blessing 3. The fit will most likely be better for the majority of people too.
😇 May God Bless You Always, David! 😇
Thanks and same for you! 🙏
what these like compared to the melody?
Crisper, better clarity and larger soundstage.
How do they fare against the hype 2?
These are more clinical and detailed (and brighter) than the Hype 2. I think Hype 2 is better suited for an all-rounder more casual use and Quintet suited for critical listening.
In my opinion gray is not the best choice.. they should have done a black or white black blend…
Comment for da algorithm
Streak count: 298
I look this understaded look better
It's quite classy!
u seem to be a treble head in denial, the treble is shouty on this set.
Are you getting a good fit and seal? Maybe you're a treble-sensitive person in denial. 😄
Have you try foam tips, standard silicon tips don't sound good at all.
Good but too much treble in my opinion. No bass.
It's on the brighter side - make sure you've got the right eartips and a proper seal.
