I guess instead of long episodes 9 and 10, they snipped the two then distributed the snipped ones in three episodes, also adding fillers as teasers for the upcoming Pearl Next Door Series. Not bad as long as the episodes won’t appear draggy.
This episode (9) follows the last conversation between Gav and Cai, and as I guessed, Cai have downplayed the intensity of his answer to Gav, that they’re now a dating couple (BabyniGav).
I love that Gav has consistently remained cheesy and excited with Cai despite the simple and unexpected victory he has over the courtship. I now fully understand why Third Wheelers always remark “Sana All”. He (Gav) seems to embody everything we look for in a lover.
I like that the episode also has given room for supporting characters like Terrence and Risa to have their few moments of redemption. I really am glad that the show is following this direction of forgiveness and moving on. The characters are more three-dimensional this way. Another challenge is presented to Cai, which leads us to his sense of urgency to finally meet Gav in person. Hopefully this happens on the next episode, but I won’t wonder if this happens on episode 13 for plot purposes (to fatten us up for the main meal “Gameboys the Movie”).
But as usual, it leaves me waiting for another seven days to find out what happens next.
I thought GameBoys will only have 10 eps?

i know you know LEE KNOW MINHOE , as was announced by the show’s director at the Pinoy Reactors’ meet yesterday, they picked up three more episodes for this season, episodes 11-13. It’s good kasi parang ang hirap bumitaw sa series yet. Ang tagal ng paghintay for the movie. So while we’re all waiting for the movie, malelessen yung wait time with these three more episodes. Sarap ng feeling na di na last week of waiting yung sa next Friday.

most of them came from theater acting..
Most of them actually started when they were young, you might want to check their other films. Kokoy's Gavreel and Elijah's Cairo is just the tip of the iceberg on what they can do as an actor. Elijah even has Best Actor award for Kalel, 15 and is currently nominated for another best actor on the same film. Sue Prado, the one who played Mama Leila is a veteran actress in PH, Adrianna has several films too. Kyle and Angelica, the one who portrayed Risa, are more on tv series.
Top and bottom is so 2019, the new preference is Cairo's Angel and Baby ni Gav. Hahaha
The actor acting as Terrance has my utmost respect, he made me HATE Terrance and then now made me feel sorry for him :')

I don't normally like when people use "baby" or similar for a pet name, just not my thing and I don't like the sound of it/how people say it. But I think Gav is pretty much the only person who I don't mind hearing them say "baby", especially as many times as he does, in fact sometimes I even think its cute and or endearing. Only through the power of Gav lol.

This series is such a little treasure and surprise. Can't get over how good the acting is all-round. I cried at least three times this episode. At the end when the two of them were just staring, smiling and loving each other and no words were spoken...wow. Great direction. Show's well-written as well.

This series became a hit because most people dream of having this kind of relationship if they don't have one yet. It's either you are Cairo looking for a Gav or you want to be a Gav to a Cairo. I wonder what is the chance of actually finding one, or having the chance of becoming one. Tho most people are probably "Cairo" wanting to have a Gav in their lives. It's just, for just once after being strong for so long, you can finally become weak and rest because you finally have someone strong to take care of you. Most people don't have the guts or courage to show what they feel.

I agree, keen family ties is too apparent in Asian countries. In the Philippines, it's really normal to be with your family even if you already have your own family... It's like more of an extended family. I know sometimes it's a bit crazy and chaotic.... and just thinking of this idea or setup might be confusing or annoying... There's always another side of the story... Some will say that you have to be independent when you reached a certain age, and you have to move out from your house to finally get yours... For some culture like in the Philippines, there's only a small percentage that this is being observed, as Filipinos in general are too attached with their loved ones. That's also the reason why you'll often see a big family in every home in most Asian countries. This speaks volumes why the emotional support we get from our family is vital in our lives, and I'm glad that close family ties is part of our culture.
Yes, agree. Filipino culture/Asian culture is all about love for family family and respecting your parents, especially your grandparents and "utang na loob" is a very real thing.....You would never see a Filipino parent in a nursing home. That is definitely a big no-no.

For me, the sequence where Cairo is with Gavreel's pillow was the most well thought out and well executed scene of the series. I could see Cairo being annoyed at his own strong feelings for Gavreel followed by longing and pain. For the first time, we had a glimpse of Cairo's intimate emotions.
The music, the acting, and the fact that the entire scene unfolded so beautifully without a single word being spoken is a testimony to how great this show is.

Okay for the inter fans: Basically there are 3 major groups of islands in the Ph. LUZON, VISAYAS, and MINDANAO (north to south order) . Right now both of them are in LUZON, and even then, they're miles away. Now, if ever Cai move to BUKIDNON, he'll be in MINDANAO. He needs to fly to see Cai, as opposed to a 2hr drive if Cai stays in QC(which is in Luzon).

although the pillow scene is adorable, it honestly kinda made me sad. after watching it a few times i felt a lot of longing from cairo, just him pretending to feed the pillow and holding it real close. he wants to see gav in real life so bad, he wants a chance at a relationship so bad. idk man i understand needing to be there for his family but he has to make himself happy too, i hope he makes some kind of compromise.
