Why did you quit making videos. We need more vintage hair styles. There isn’t enjoy references here on TH-cam. You’re good and we want more from you. 🥰
You're too hard on yourself babe, none of us over here are judging you, I think you did an amazing job and really made a job that is incredibly hard and tedious look extremely easy and meticulously crafted. We did these in hair school and it is no easy feat to use your finger alone to wrap barrel or pin curls, as well as having the curls match up around the entire head and flow seamlessly, AND have all the curls be balanced and consistent. Beautiful work, wet setting is an art. If you were in hair school with me and presented this set it would be an A+ absolutely! Anyone who has ever given you a rude comment is clearly conceded and low, or they have no idea what they're talking about because wet setting is an art and one of the hardest things to master in the industry. Cheers, beautiful set.
This gave me some really nice memories of my mother doing her hair when I was a little girl. She did pin curls as long as I can remember. She had the most beautiful long wavy hair. Thank you. ♥️
You look so pretty. Your bone structure actually resembles the most beautiful 1940’s starlets. You are as beautiful as they were! Thank you for such a lovely tutorial. 🤍
I did it. Went straight to the dollar store after work and bought a $1 hair scarf and $1 pack of 80 pins. Didn't turn out as lovely as yours (considering I've never styled my hair... ever, this was expected), but I still have some decent waves on both sides. My hair is cut at a slight angle towards my chin, so the reverse of a 'U' cut, but it still turned out surprisingly well! Maybe I'll try some victory curls next time
Girl, just beautiful wow. Your hair is amazing that style is da bomb and you pull off retro and vintage very well. You are so pretty. I loved this tutorial. Wow incredible
The finished look is gorgeous. She really tamed that front wave/curl. Can’t imagine spending that much time on my hair but whatever makes you happy is fine with me. ❤️🇨🇦😊
When I first watched this on my FireTV, where you can't read the description box or comments, I totally thought the color changing back and forth like that was an intentional editorial choice & wondered how you did it, lol. It totally goes with the tone of the video!
Gosh just the most beautiful comb out I've seen, fantastic. Don't doubt yourself because you make it seem like we don't need all kinds of fancy products and tools to achieve an end result such as yours! Bravo
I'm not even 10 minutes in and I'm already planning on heading to the store to pick up some pins... definitely going to try this out tonight! I love how real you are and when you offer tips and advice etc just as you think of it. Thanks for sharing!
This was so helpful. I am just getting into vintage style now and have watched a ton of videos, but I love how detailed your tutorial is. I love the 40s the best! ♥️
You remind me of someone I hold very dear to my heart, like almost a replica of her…. my nana…. Hair color skin freckles everything, I must say I’m even kinda envious you look like her that much… She’s my Nana and who doesn’t love their Nana right 🤷🏻♀️ of course she’s getting older and who knows how much longer we’ll get to spend time with her…I hope 2 see her this XMAS as she doesn’t come out much anymore due to her age but this is also the reason I was looking for 40’s hair style.. thanks for the video…. Happy Holiday!!
i do the exact same thing to keep my mind occupied while i do a set! my hair usually takes almost 2 hours to set in pin curls that are small enough to dry overnight, and while i don’t really like tv or movies in general I’ve gotten into the habit of putting on a pbs documentary while i curl :)
I'm quite sure I learned more in this video than I have learned in all of them I've watched put together. Thank you so much! They look so tired at the beginning of the video and I appreciate all of your effort. I am an artist and for some reason the way that you explained Just the feeling the hair and the energy in the movement of the hair really made a difference. I just got it! Thank you so much. I've always been a tomboy, but I think it's more because I just never really felt like I deserve to spend time on myself 😢. I am changing that now.
Thank God! Finally someone that admits their bangs have a mind of their own lmao I swear the rest of my hair could look amazing and work together but my bangs are like “Oh, I’m the star of the show?? IMa gO evErY dIRecTiOn THen” 😑 beyond annoying! And I honestly think most of the time I spend fixing my hair and brushing it, it’s spent on my bangs alone
I would LOVE to see a red rouge on you with your complexsion, some Demi wispey lashes on you, perhaps a little black waterline or dark brown water line w brown mascara and lashes, and a red lip - you would absolutely rock the brown lashes big time!
I feel like im watching a rare footage for unknown girl from the 40s 😄 Im a new follower from Saudi Arabia. I loved your video and im going to try doing the same it’s beautiful
Ok staaaaawp! It’s gawgeus!!! You look so pretty sweetie! Thanks for the lesson. And for the ocd anxiety attack, lmbo, I am the same way... I will write after I do mine and tell you how many Valium it took for this old gal to look as good as you do! Wish me luck!
Man what a process! How did women w/ children have time to do all that! So pretty though!! Love jennifer lawrences hair in that movie 'serena' too. How come the vlog kept goin from black &white..Even prettier in all color!
Damn girl that's glam in a nutshell I love it - very Hollywoodisc (if that's a word no I don't think so I just made that up but you know what I'm saying)! Now all you have to bring is your Barbara Stanwyck - an actress ahead of her time if I ever knew one. Bless them for trying but seriously a lot of girls here try but they fall short of the 1940's look and tip my hats off to them but yours actually look like the real deal and I've watched enough Golden Years of Hollywood movies to know lol. If I can contribute to your successful look that music is probably more 1930's though and a little more height on the fringe to get the wow effect. www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FBarbara_Stanwyck&psig=AOvVaw0zDcrd4lvmJlHfL0PCNvIu&ust=1607072486286000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCNiv7oi6se0CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD
Gorgeous. But please leave the video as colored instead of having monochrome filter on. When you do your makeup, it's hard to see what is going on when it's black and white. Your lipstick ends up looking black and was the only thing that was obvious.
Dang, last night I cut my long hair to start doing retro curling again, but I forgot how much spring-back curls have. I cut it above my shoulders. Errrrr, this will be interesting
I wish the hair salons in the US are bringing these 1940s voluminous hairstyles back for the everyday women. Most women nowadays do their hair styles limp and straight without any body and volume and fullness.
Your hair is glorious! I have the hardest time maintaining my hair for more than one day. It seems to lose its curl if I just let it be. Do you put it up in a scarf when you sleep?

I love how it randomly switches to colour and it's like 1947 2019 1947 2019
Hahaha!!! That is a funny observation. That's exactly what it seems like.
This gave me some really nice memories of my mother doing her hair when I was a little girl. She did pin curls as long as I can remember. She had the most beautiful long wavy hair. Thank you. ♥️

Ive been a licensed cosmetologist since 1996 and I truly enjoyed your tutorial. I learned quite a bit from you. You look lovely 💖
Wow, even your hair just in the pin curls looks so elegant. Remember pin curls from when I was a little girl.

Now you need big brimmed hat!!

I am changing that now.
The mascara application got me lol “sometimes I’m never satisfied, but you gotta stop eventually.....no...no you don’t.”
I love this so much. Wish you had more videos. So much fun to watch. Especially these long ones. 💜
You popped out on my feed on Instagram and loved your page. Found you here and definitely loving this video. Im happy i found you! 😀❣️
Get hairspray in eyes ✔ 🤣

I wish I could keep you in my pocket and have your help at all times 😂!

I also wish this video wasn't black and white because you have the most stunning hair colour and skin colour
Piękna fryzura! ❤️❤️❤️

She explains in the beginning of the video that there was an error when she saved it to her computer-the b/w color is not on purpose.
thank you love your video helped me a lot :)
this tutorial is amazing!
The Page Boy 1940s tutorial please lady! LOL
My hair is so long it’s right at my butt, but I think I can do these pin curls.
Your hair looks beautiful
Dang, last night I cut my long hair to start doing retro curling again, but I forgot how much spring-back curls have. I cut it above my shoulders. Errrrr, this will be interesting
Super Nice.Congratulations from lima Peru. BRAVO......... THANKS
You look very Dunaway- and Crawford-esque when applying your mascara.
You are enchanting
Great work
Thanks girl!!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch it!!! :)
Wow now you can understand why Marilyn Monroe was always late. I mean this takes a long time to get ready.
🔥🔥🔥 nice and curly
You are extremely beautiful and elegant . I enjoyed this very much.
Do I have to use setting lotion for natural curly hair or do I semi flat iron my hair then use the setting lotion ?
More please. 😍

Good Job!
Your hair is glorious! I have the hardest time maintaining my hair for more than one day. It seems to lose its curl if I just let it be. Do you put it up in a scarf when you sleep?
She said she resets it at night, curls everything back up
I'm curious what brand those makeup brushes were! This is a great video, thank you for the informative content
You talked about a product in a jar called pameri where do I find this
I like how the colour mistake makes it look like you’re wearing dark green lipstick. It would really suit you well.
❤ you really are quite talented and you are also a very beautiful lady 🦄💕🧚♀️❤
Hi. Which hairbrush you suggest for vintage hairstyle? For brushing out? Thank you
I’ve heard a boar brush was good or if you have a real vintage hairbrush that works too
Very pretty
Amazing!! Is there a way to make this hairstyle survive through the night?
Ester R you could try getting a silk cap to sleep in
I think you could pin it into 6-8 large pin curls (dry) so that when you take it down it should reform the curls.
i love this 🥺 how long does it stay?
Have you ever tried a pincurl comb?
Rita Hayworth eat your heart out, dahling. 💋
1:06 Haa lol 🧿bummer you lost your footage. Your hair looks pretty.
what beautiful¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
das ist ganz Klasse!
Great vid, but this music has me so emotional😂
I tried to take a diagram to a hair stylist and they were so confused. I switched stylists after that.
i think you shoukd have used the pommade, Would be easier
Wunderschön
My hair constantly speaks to me…tells me how it’s going to ruin my day if there’s so much as a hint of moisture in the air! 😡
A WET brush is too modern. Use Kent boar bristles.
anyone have tips for someone that doesnt know how to do this on yourself?
Section your hair with large clips in sections might be easier for you, and keep practicing.💖
🙌😍
you should work on films because lots of times they get it wrong...
Mine turned out frizzy, anyone any recommendations?
Brush out with a boar brush after taking the curls out or try sponge rollers to keep the hair neater
She needs two hours... But amazing...
Honey, you shouldn't keep your make-up for years. It' probably full of bacteria by now. ( just trying to help)
Well you sure helped ME. No wonder I get red eyes n rashes everytime I do my makeup
Three minutes of chattering, I muted it, does it ever get to the pin curling technique? Moved on. Think before you post. Thumbs down.
