Great video and playing as always. I played a 2266 for some years and it was great but I found it lacked a bit of balls so I went back to my 2204 JCM800. Still the best.
Hallo HELMUT. Schaue mir jeden Tag Videos von Dir an.Bin ein grosser Fan von Deinem Gitarrenspiel und wie genial Du Amps und Overdrives einstellst.Danke auch für alle Tipps die Du weiter gibst. Peter.
I have no idea why Marshall didn't continue to make and promote this amp. It seemed to be a move toward the best direction for them when it came out. It should have become their flagship.
I don't know why they didn't also continue producing the Celestion G12C Greenback Reissue that Came in the vintage Modern combos and Cabs... I could have bought a vintage modern 4 by 12 for 800 dollars Canadian a couple of months back but a 4 by 12 is far too loud for my neighbors liking so I couldn't justify it . I thought about buying it just to get the 4 G12C speakers but decided against it .
Great video Bibl ! I had five of those and my problem was always a hate love relation with them ! Some day it sounded great and the other , I had a feeling it sounded cold and not organic enough so after the fifth one, I called it a quit !
I think I understand what you are saying. My 74 les paul is totally bright and not mid rock at all. It seems more oriented to Les Paul's style of playing... I digress... love your channel, thanks Helmut
The 2266 is a bit tricky. At the time got 205c and 2266c for a studio that never happened. Nice speakers in the cabs, KT66 were new to me. Still like the el34s
Kilingt genial! Genau der etwas bluesigere, harmonischere Sound, aber immer noch mit genügend "Rotz", der mir bei den JCM's und späteren Marshalls immer ein bisschen gefehlt hat. Hot-Rod Plexi, so irgendwie. Offensichtlich sind die KT66 schon was ganz Feines!
i think by the g12t75s it depends on the amp and guitar with some amps they sound very weird because of the midscoop but some amps need that extra midscoop
i like the 12-65 heritage and the wgs et 65 more it has the midscoop but sounds better than g12t75 but i prefer the wgs speakers over the celestion the wgs had more midrange and smother top end than the celestions @@Biblrocks
You are all missing what he is saying about freezing his Les Paul to enhance its tone. Intriquiing idea, and yeah, the Marshall Vintage Modern sounds great, but this guy is freezing his guitars!!!. I think it sounds great, personally.
Marshall is strange. They had those 1 watt reissues and stopped making them. Stopped making this amp, and when Eddie asked for a signature amp they said no. Lol that's one of the dumbest things ever
Thank you, cool tones. For those that like less strat bite the body can go up and the detail down :)
Very cool track my friend
😎
One of Marshall’s ‘simplest’, yet most versatile amps. Love the Vintage Modern ❤
yes 👍🏻
Great tone and playing as always. I remember seeing Robin Trower and he was playing two VM’s. Those amps are very underrated.
indeed !
Helmut, you are vintage - in the best sense - as well!
😎
Helmut, You make everything sound so good. Your playing is top notch!!! Very inspiring!!!
thank you 🙏🏼
Used one of these as my backup, amazing amp
yeah, love the old hiwatts.

I have that amp, and I love it. Great demo and fantastic tones!

So Pro tones my man Helmut !

Sounds so juicy and tasty! Great playing too!
thanks🙏🏼
I A/B them through a VM box with a JMP2203 and really vintage modern takes that sound with it so a 45 year old head can stay at home
yes👍🏻
Hello from Florida
hello ✌️

Great tones from this amp wow!
Helmut would you go with digital or analog delay for a gained up Marshall?

cheers

Greenbacks are recommend
👍🏻
Just subbed!

What are the pickups in the LP? They sound great both dirty and some of the best HB cleans I've heard
thanks, montys paf‘s and montys harness.
cheers

true, the speaker is a important part.

The greenbacks in the combo sound great, they are another great option.
