When l was 16, in 2002, l heard legends of of horrible blaze was... Thank god l didn't trust them and discover one of the best discography in metal. You can debate iron maiden are bigger, but his songs and voice speak to heart.
He was horrible live with Maiden but I don't think that this was his fault. Band didn't wanted to accomodate his voice by tuning down etc. they refuse to do that even for Bruce now. So I would say - let's look at bright side, thanks to that episode he is well known. I hope that he will tour in Poland again.

Wow... Blaze's energy and voice are particularly amazing, during this wonderful concert!!!! I mean,he always does his best, but here... there is something special. Lot of Love to The King of Metal! 🤟🏻👑🤩🔥💖🔥
El problema es que con Maiden parecia nervioso, se notaba, porque si erraba mucho en vivo, tenia que llenar los zapatos de Bruce con sus notas altas y su presencia (que Blaze la tiene, claro, pero para otro tipo de banda), complacer a la fanaticada y eso no era para nada fácil, pero ahora que es independiente, canta con total libertad, sin cumplir expectativas, gozando lo que hace. Es el y la música. No es el tratando de complacer a los fans de Maiden, o peor, a los fans de Bruce que eran demasiado destructivos.

This is probably the worst drummer I´ve seen. EVER. It makes myself wanna go on stage and replace him. And I´m no drummer. This is Blaze´s worst solo line up. The story behind this recording is well documented on his biography "At the End of the Day" written by his former drummer Larry Patterson. The book is a must for all Blaze Bayley fans. Blaze is a winner, has a solid solo career any of his solo releases beat the Maiden records after Bruce´s return. I´m proud to support Blaze Bayley as a solo artist.

Why does it sound like theres an overlay in the vocals. Edit 3 years later: Coming back to this video and forgetting about this comment, it's obvious that it is a live show, guitars, drums, etc. but some parts have extra vocals slapped ontop of them. Just listen to Man on the Edge, and the start of Virus
Absolutely amazing this performance! The main problems of Blaze in Maiden were his poor performance as front man, some Maiden songs that did not fit his voice, and the shadow of Bruce Dickinson. Also, he should have taken more care of his body. The X-Factor was a great album, I love the first three songs, songs 4 to 6 are also above average, so the album has quite high quality, better than past Maiden albuns since Matter of Life and Death. The Virtual XI album was bad but had two great songs (Futureal and The Clansman), better than other Maiden albuns (Book of Souls, Final Frontier)....
I think every song on X Factor is good, and every song on VI except for Angel and the Gambler is good. Como Estas Amigos and Two Worlds Collide are awesome!

The bearded guitarist is Rich Newport. He's not a bad guitarist. I saw Blaze with Rich in 2004 many times on the blood and belief tour. The entire band made some fuckups during the show but they didn't have much rehearsal time before this show. Nico and Dave are real powerhouses. Blaze was lucky to have them in his band.
but since 2014 Blaze´s musicians are Chris Appleton on Guitar (brother of former Iced Earth bassist, Luke Appleton) , Karl Scharamm on Bass and Martin Mcnee on drums, Bermudez brothers were kicked long time ago. To be honest I didn´t liked them as live performers (probally because another guys), best Blaze´s lineups for me are first and actual.
You do realise that the bearded guitarist had to re-do all of the other guitarists part on one of their songs because he wasn't there, and he did it perfectly. The bearded guitarist is just simply better.
yeah, feel bad for blaming the drummer because, as mentioned by others, he was forced by the management/his father - but I remember, at the time, I more or less refused buying this, because it did not include 'Stare At The Sun' cause the drummer couldn't do it...well, now I have it of cause :D For me the original line-up is still special (been my first gig and all) but the current is great as well, especially now, finally, with a second guitarist!
I can play this set better than this drummer here. He is not bad, but his style is wrong here. Groove is missing. That slow hi-hat sounds so lazy on Speed of Light... doesn't fit to the song(s).

Blaze is good but the band is not. The left guitar looks like a dead man looking to nothing.. almost guys have Zero stage presence. They even enjoy what they are doing
