I really have to congratulate the team that Epica has had since Omega, it seems that the band finally understood that they are paying attention to promoting their work. In addition to generating content whenever possible for social media. That's what makes a band seen nowadays. 👏
My favorite albums are The Quantum Enigma and Holographic Principle. Most likely due to their production quality thanks to their new producer Joost van den Broek. He also worked on Omega.
This concert was a true work of art. Many bands are great musically, but not many pay attention to their art and the overall experience like Epica does. I think that's one of the things that makes them special.
I have to agree. Considering the context of when this happened during the pandemic, Epica and a few others nailed transmitting a similar energy to seeing them live. To me the key was showing interaction between members plus being creative with the visuals but not overboard. Sadly some others failed and their performances in those online concerts felt cold and flat.
Actually as a huge fan I am super happy to have it on youtube, but on the other hand I am a little disappointed since i bought the dvd and the bluray. I think some materials should stay exclusively in physical format, otherwise people could stop buying them... (not me, I am a compulsive Epica collector xd)
Not totally for free, they make revenue out of views. People watching without subscription, TH-cam will have ads making money for TH-cam and the content creator. While paid subscriptions, paid for watching content; Small part of that money goes to the content creators.
I found Epica properly only during last year.I thought this is quite the same thing as Nightwish did at that time.Because no touring,they decided to do the live stream from 'Islanders Arms'.But if I'm right,this stream by Epica was as a support for the Omega album.

The concert of the decade. Epica deserved this. This is absolute perfection. This is incredible. This is Epica. Every music fan should sit back and enjoy the spectacle, at least once in their lifetime. This is symphonic metal.
I really loved this show. It has a special place in my heart as I was sitting home with my infant daughter and we watched it together. Her first concert. She was so mesmerized by it.
Babies get it. Kids and babies appreciate music as art, without the politics and fads. My son is 7 weeks and so far his favorite band is Heaven Shall Burn, which is funny because I didn't previously listen to them that often. I'll have to play this for him next! 🤘
Hearing Simone shouting out Cry for the Moon was a pretty special moment. It was probably one of the first Epica songs I'd heard. One of the first songs I'd heard when I discovered underground music was a thing. And one of the most iconic songs in symphonic metal. Funny thing is, I didn't like it at first! Because of the growls. But then I read the lyrics and realized only a growl can convey the appropriate anger towards what the lyrics speak of. So Cry for the Moon is also THE song that got me into harsh vocals!

The first song I ever listened to of Epica's, 20 years ago or so, was Cry for the Moon. The moment I listened to it for the first time I was hooked. Was my absolutely favorite song(not just of Epica's, in general as someone who only listens to metal since basically my late teens) back than and still is certainly one of my favorites to this day. Simone's singing, the growls popping in during the tense moments, the lyrics themselves, the orchestra, everything about it was absolutely incredibly. Don't get me wrong, Epica has released multiple incredible songs since than, but as the saying goes: 'you never forget your first' and doubly so when said first is such a masterpiece.
Same thing happened to me. I discovered the band around the same time as you and that was also my favorite song for a long time. The band has since done several works, none so close to the first, but Omega somehow reminded me of The Phantom Agony.
I'm from the Philippines, and my affection for this band runs deep! I began listening to their music back in 2015, and my love for it remains unwavering!

An absolute masterpiece - the Rivers and Once Upon a nightmare one shot is absolutely stunning... incredible artistry. To perform like this with no audience, just raw, is genius. Transformational for me when it came out - hope, spirit, fire and joy!!

My first concert with Epica was over 20 years ago. At least that's how it seems to me. Back then, the band was still relatively unknown in Germany. They played in a small hall in Hamburg. Today it's still the same band. And they're still as good as they were back then. Maybe they're even a little better than they were back then. Whatever: It's a pleasure to see them so successful. Thank you for all these years, EPICA! Forever your fan!
I've been following the band closely since the release of Omega. I've been to two of their concerts since then and I can proudly say that the band is in their peak. The album just doesn't have a bad song and it's in my top 3 I've been listening to since its' release. Simone has never sounded so good both studio and live like now. She truly excels vocally! The chemistry between everyone is great. Mark's growl vocals are at their best also. I've been listening since 2011 but the last few years I've grown to love them immensely. Thank you for sharing the Omega alive with us. I can't help but get goosebumps all over every time I listen to Cry for the moon in this. I can't wait to see what they've got for us for the Symphonic Synergy!
I discovererd Epica when I was 15 years old with the release of Design Your Universe and the Kingdom of Heaven solo still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Can't wait for the new record and to see you guys live again ❤ The best symphonic metal band to ever do it

I have seen Epica 5 times already since I always go to all their lives in my country since the 1st one I attended. They are always great but this one is exceptional and extraordinary. I wish I get a chance to attend one of these type of lives in the future in person.
Amongst all the online shows done during the pandemic, Epica's Omega Alive is by far the best one. Everything is tune to perfection : the performance is amazing, the setup is incredible and the setlist is awesome!

I remember this coming out during the pandemic. Bands weren't performing, or recording their respective parts separately. This performance brought back a sense of normalcy. Every time i hear Rivers it brings a tear 😢 to my eye . When I saw Epica live on the co - Headline tour with Apocalyptica and Simone sang Rivers , by the end of song was nearly crying . Such an emotional song .
A few weeks after my first comment : the rendering of Rivers is probably the masterpiece of this video. It let Simone's voice going as far as we can dream.
The performance in all of this is incredible! It's like something you would see at the Sun Dance film festival in my eyes! Camera work, choreography, special effects are truly amazing or in a word EPIC! I've watched it now about 6 times now and am going on lucky #7!🤘🎼🌹💋💖

I have seen Epica 5 times already since I always go to all their lives in my country since the 1st one I attended. They are always great but this one is exceptional and extraordinary. I wish I get a chance to attend one of these type of lives in the future in person.
It just gives me goosebumps. I call this art. What I can say is that this band keeps getting better.
Amongst all the online shows done during the pandemic, Epica's Omega Alive is by far the best one. Everything is tune to perfection : the performance is amazing, the setup is incredible and the setlist is awesome!
You are the band, with whom it's unreal to distinct, whether the record is studio or live. purrrfect and brilliant!

I remember this coming out during the pandemic. Bands weren't performing, or recording their respective parts separately. This performance brought back a sense of normalcy. I was not able to watch during the three days when it was available, but I have the box set and thoroughly enjoy it. Thank you!

Дуже цікаве і збалансоване поєднання мелодики яка бере за душу та надважкого металу який розриває на шматки. Багато нереально цікавих гармонічних ходів, творчих переходів і технічних елементів. Костюми, рухи, шоу, світло, якісний звук, відеомонтаж і все продумано до найдрібніших деталей. Молодці!

Ωmega alive has no point of comparison, it surpasses all forms of perfection in each wonderful song, it is the most incredible and wonderful work of art that they could give us, they are the best epic 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻♥♥

I am so happy I have this concert as Earbook Edition! Simone's voice has improved over the years and so far the best voice in a live show. Her voice live here is so what the same as in audio version or even better in live. It gives me goosebumps!

Every time i hear Rivers it brings a tear 😢 to my eye .
When I saw Epica live on the co - Headline tour with Apocalyptica and Simone sang Rivers , by the end of song was nearly crying .
Such an emotional song .
A few weeks after my first comment : the rendering of Rivers is probably the masterpiece of this video. It let Simone's voice going as far as we can dream.
I have such fond memory of this show. An amazing experience from the best band in the world. I will definitely rewatch this another 1000 times.
The performance in all of this is incredible! It's like something you would see at the Sun Dance film festival in my eyes! Camera work, choreography, special effects are truly amazing or in a word EPIC! I've watched it now about 6 times now and am going on lucky #7!🤘🎼🌹💋💖

What a masterpiece, since the 1st album that I have untill I watched this video Epica is one of the best Symphonic Gothic Metal. Its been so great in 20 years, they're still there and didnt change. Epica still Epica...Simone Simone still beautifull❤
