Silver Wing loose rear wheel problem solved

In this video, I work through the steps of removing the rear wheel on a 2005 Honda Silver Wing. Inspect the wheel and try and solve why the wheel feels loose when I shake it with my hand. Something I discovered in my last video when I was washing the scooter.

Check parts diagrams, any type of locking mechanism to keep the axle nut from coming loose like that? Thanks for sharing your work.

Good question Max . There doesn't appear to be any cotter pin type of mechanisms that would keep the nut from backing off but the nut itself looks to be a self locking type with an extra locking washer built right into it. It's on the outer edge towards the right of the machine if placed correctly. Possibly it is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I think it will need to be replaced. Probably worn out. Cheers!
