Nice work! Always nice to see a good engine saved from scrap.

I try to save people as much money as I can. I could have sold them a new push mower...but this was a far more cost friendly option.

So how did the logistics on that work? $XX.00 for a used deck and $XX.00 for labor/time? Just curious!

Yes roughly 20 bucks for the deck and 40 an hour labor to swap and service plus cost of parts. So right around 65 dollars and they were cutting grass again. To buy that Honda Harmony is about 800 bucks and a new Murray like that is around 160 dollars...so it was a good deal for them.

I'm gunna be doing this myself soon😁 I'm going from a Honda deck to another Honda deck.
Friend brought me a Honda with the tein cut blade set up, just like the one i use for majority of my mowing, however the motor has no compression. Found another Honda mower with single balde deck, & no bagger option, on local F.B. market place. Same motor.
Now not only will i have 2 matching Hondas that discharge, bag or mulch, I will also have parts😇😁

I have a Bolens cheapie but other than the weak motor, I love it because it's so light and maneuverable. So, I took a Honda engine off a Craftsman and put it on the Bolens deck. Got everything working except for one, now obvious, problem. The drive shaft is about 1.5" too long. I would try to cut it with the grinder and a couple of wheels but I can't get access to it to cut at a right angle. I could cut it but it wouldn't be square. Can't really raise the motor because there was already a 1/4" gap I had to seal. ANy workarounds I'm missing?

DARREN-WILL-FIX Can you do a video on how to fix engine oil leaks? I have a gcv160 that’s a year old and it’s leaking in the front of the engine where the two halves of the engine are sealed..
      P.S. I own a 10th gen F150 too =)

How did you remove the drive belt from the transmission. I’m doing a full engine swap on my HRS21SDA to a new deck and having difficulty getting the transmission out.

I did not remove the belt from the transmission on this job however When I do I find it easier to un bolt the trans and lower it out of the unit. On a side note if you ever take the back wheels off of this mower be careful there is a spring loaded hey on each axel that engage the drive wheels in forward direction do not loose them. I hope this helps.
