Good thing I never opted for the Tow truck coverage with Hagerty. Had a feeling they would suck. I will call my own tow trucks.
Seems to be that their insurance is fine but for road side assistance your better off with AAA (US)
How has your experience been since with Haggerty? Did they offer any sort of compensation for the troubles they put you through? Picking up a skyline from the port next month and trying to weigh my options when it comes to insurance. Thank you
I’ve always heard they subcontracted through a company and they really don’t have much control over the actual dispatching. Luckily haven’t had to use it yet, i do know all of their claims are handled internally though. Bummer their vendor had you waiting so long on numerous occasions.
Yep this was a very eye opening experience to me because I’ve never had to deal with it in the past with GEICO or State Farm or AAA.

Kind of sounds like you need some work done to your Beat, if this is the 3rd time you've been left stranded. I've owned mine for 6 years now and it hasn't left me stranded yet...well, except for the times I've run it out of gas 😉
Well it’s your six years vs my six months haha! I haven’t had as much time as you to sort this out yet. Personally I’ve never run out of gas while driving, but that’s just me 😉👍

@@oldskool1979 I actually had to replace the main relay and ecu when I first bought the car a few months ago to get it started in the first place
Hagerty should just use 1 or 2 reputable towing companies !!! Too much red tape now !
They use a dispatching 3rd party company from what i know. They actually have 0 control over who is sent once the roadside incident happens. Having 1 or 2 companies for a nationwide presence isn’t really feasible. Definitely a bummer when situations like this happen though.

Your out of gas look at your gas gauge 😢
Gauge cluster wasn’t working at the time. I would just fill it up as much as possible and keep an eye on the mileage!
