Incredible reference book, your kit box openings and model builds are excellent, book references are too because they give so many variations to work with. We have an expression in the US, " I'll but that on my bucket list" , in other words I need to remember to get a certain item. Recently I am having to change my list from bucket to barrel. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
On my shopping list. Thank you for highlighting it. 😊
Thanks for watching!
@@ModelNerd my pleasure. I have a healthy interest in WWII German uniforms. ☺️
THANK YOU for a very thorough, useful book review. I attempted to use Michigan Toy Soldier here in the U.S. to order a copy but, OF COURSE, got the good old Out of Stock notice. Why bother? Should have gone directly to the website as you suggest. I do appreciate your review and hope Plastic Invasion won’t be out of stock! Cheers.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I susoect distributors will only stock limited nunbers of copies unfortunately.
Thank you for your reply. Alas I will not add your reviewed volume to my modeling reference library. No problem finding it available on Plastic Invasions website. €59.00 book cost. €30.00 Czech post to the U.S.! As always, a deal killer. and the reason I tried to make the purchase from a domestic source. It’s a pity.
Thanks very much for the great review mate. Looks like an interesting resource, especially if like myself, you do use vallejo paints.
Nice historical references too. Maybe a bit price restrictive for me, right now but since it's full colour for the painting tutorials, you can see why.
Hopefully there'll be an allies and commonwealth version soon, thats just as detailed. Now that I would buy. Those british para denison smocks are mad to paint right.
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to buy and review it. Really helps.
Glad you found it helpful. Yes, an Allied version would be of great interest I'd say.
Did the allies use much camouflage , I only know of the British paras smock , and the us marine camo .
Good point - I'm not sure. I was recently looking up the uniform that ATS women wore and it was basically just the same as the men's uniform in terms of colour. Not much variation across the board I think.
That book is really detailed and also a very good "how to" book. I have difficulty painting faces also. i find for 1/35 scale figures I have to use my strongest magnifying glasses but sometimes on the figures the moulding around the eyes is not good enough to get the detail shown in that book. Maybe these people only use the latest super detailed figures and not those from older kits.
Definitely high quality figures play an important role in getting good results.
I got this book when the kick starter was being run great asset to any German modeller trying to attempt German camoflauge it's a must get book. Worth every penny. Great work plastic invasion 👏👏👏
Yep, very good work indeed
Hey,great book for reference and tips, might treat myself and thanks for the review, can’t wait to see you make your already great figure painting skills even better!
Thanks - glad you enjoyed the video
Very nice, super cool
Yeah, it's a good read
Great stuff I paint waffen SS miniatures mostly
Glad you liked it - thanks for watching :)
@@ModelNerd I'm currently working on a young miniatures bust of the waffen SS machine gunner in the Ardennes he's wearing the Italian pattern fur coat and holding an mg42 I've got the ak interactive gen3 set specifically for the camo pattern
@@IanPotts-lv6os I've heard good things about their products. I don't have the painting ability to try one just though :)
Interesting😎😎
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
🤝🎥👍
Thanks
Not impressed at all!
Don’t want history fillers
Don’t want b&w photos
Don’t want general painting tips
I do want German (Nazi) camouflage colours
I do want colour photos of the camouflage
So remove all the non camouflage stuff and hooray! A book that deals with why we actually bought it and probably noticeably cheaper?

England
Fair enough. Each to their own :)
Hi my dear friend.
I'm always here, by your side.
I love these books and historical magazines that deal with such topics.
I buyed several wonderful magazines in the past years ...
😉 many, many magazines!
@@ModelNerd no that’s not it! A book on camouflage needs to be on camouflage a book on history of battles needs to be about battles!? Just saying we buyers should know what we are buying particularly online as we can’t touch it???

Hi Stu, not only is the book a great reference, it is an invaluable painting guide. I'm awestruck!! Mikey V.
I'm definitely going to be making extensive use of it!
@@ModelNerd I'm sure they have more in the series.
