I am grateful you showed how he regretted what he did at Mexican Open and how important Sophia Thomalla is to him. I don’t like how the headlines just say he reached out of court settlement with Brenda Patea. Yes, he agreed to pay court associated costs but it was not a plea deal nor a civil lawsuit. Nothing was paid to her as a victim because she, the prosecutor and judge agreed to drop the charges. The headlines should have been the charges were dropped because of lack of evidence he had physically harmed her. She agreed to joint custody of their daughter and they probably updated financial agreement for child support. He had to fight for 3 years for legal joint custody. Previously he only had some visitation.
Sure, sure. He’s an innocent baby lamb. There just happen to be two women (so far) who know his physical abuse intimately. But he’s tall and blonde and tennis plans to make lots of money off of him. 🤮 But a journalist made a very rude comment about a player’s appearance-tennis will go crazy about that. Actual domestic violence-nah, they give zero effs.

I agree! Finally someone calling it like it is. Zverev is just genuinely the worst of the tour. Constantly complaining and yelling at people and blaming others for his repeated failures. Alexander Zverev is known for his rude behavior and considerable ego. Also, people can draw whatever the conclusion they want from his domestic violence situations, I certainly know what I draw.
@ Absolutely. His overblown ego and entitled attitude comes through loud and clear. He thinks he can do everyone’s job way better than they do, from the umpires to the ball kids to the electronic line calling. Yeah, I believe the women’s accounts of how he acts behind closed doors. And unlike other sports the ATP has no domestic violence policy-utter failure on their part.
