Colin Thank you so much for shutting down talk about JMac's old man BBall league before it got started. It's just awful content to hear that stuff. jmac you like the old man leagues that's completely fine most men enjoy some kinda sport league, but no one wants to hear about it not even your wife and kids so don't bore us with it. You talk to other players in your league that's what it's there for. Not to ruin a segment on a national sports show
Truly mind blowing how anyone can consider it controversial it’s a clear penalty, regardless of the situation or “getting in the way of the game.” A flag is a flag, simple as that. Where do we draw the line if it’s not? Unbelievable really that it’s even a discussion
Should they have thrown the flag when mahomes got hit out of bounds against the bengals in the AFC championship game?
It’s a common non call it’s like a travel in the nba. Lane Johnson fake started in the 49er game constantly no call.
they need to get off mahomes nuts and just say what it is, guy is offside period
It’s literally not though. A former player just explained in detail how it works. You can be autistic about it, but breaking an unwritten rule looks fishy when you wait until 60 seconds left
@@aaronnilestoussaint5672it was before this year. Refs have been emphasizing this call more often than in previous years. It’s also incredibly easy to avoid. Carelessness loses games, same thing happened to KC vs Brady in the afc title game
Calling it controversial means you don’t know the nfl rules which is wild considering you’re doing a nfl show
Tony’s toe was barely over the line. Pretty wild that the referee would call that penalty at that point in the game
@@alexkain8564 whether he was a couple inches or a couple feet over the line is irrelevant when making that call. Yes, it could've easily been avoided but how about the chiefs fan base target their criticism at toney instead of the refs who made the right call. And referees shouldn't care at what point or situation the game is in, just make the right call based on the rules
@@bongo7898 They could have called offsetting penalties and had the Chiefs and the Bills redo the down. That extra five yards felt huge in that type of ballgame
So then was the penalty in the superbowl controversial?
@@alexkain8564 what penalty did the bills blatantly commit?
As a chiefs fan, we didn't say the holding on Bradberry could have gone either way. It was holding, and the refs made the right call. On this play, they made the right call. If the ref gives you a heads up or not so be it. It's not his job to line you up like peewee football. I was yelling "get back, get back" the whole time at the TV, praying Toney would hear me. It was that obvious. The refs didn't cause us this game. How about we don't punt 4 times, how about we don't turn the ball over twice, how about we do better on 3rd down. Stop crying Pat, you're a 2x SB Champ, 2x SB MVP, 2x League MVP, act like it.
did you not listen to what they're saying? As a competitor he's got the right to have "one" moment like that. He's had it. Deal with it.
best comment i've seen
@xyzunotme I get that he's the ultimate competitor, and I like the fire that he plays with. But this particular call isn't the one to bash the horrendous officiating we've seen this year. They got THIS ONE right. He should have said something about the MVS no call, and I would have backed him up on that one. But THIS ONE.... nah. Bradberry admitted that he was holding. Toney should admit that he was offsides.
From a lifelong Raider fan that hates the Chiefs like it’s my job, kudos to you. Love to see it. I would be saying the same thing if it were the Raiders. Gene Steratore said the exact same thing, not the refs job and when it’s that egregious, it needs to be called and at the end of the day it’s on Toney. Boneheaded play, which is why he was traded from NY.
Colin makes it sound like the ref threw the flag after the play ended, as if to punish the Chiefs. In fact the ref threw the flag immediately after the snap as Mahomes was backpedaling. The Chiefs are acting like entitled children. They need to grow up and get over it.
Which the defense probably saw, and it may have affected them, allowing for the lateral. It was clearly off side and properly called.
The only reason anyone thinks this is "controversial" is because Mahomes had an absolute infant level temper tantrum on the sideline.
it was more of the standard of the officiating in the game. you cannot deny the absolute inconsistency of the officiating this season. the tantrum was also more of the frustration of the losing
What you're seeing here is the media protecting the face of the NFL, Patrick Mahomes. The conversation after every Chiefs loss is something besides how the Chiefs played poorly. It's Kelce and Jones out, it's Mahomes having the flu, it's WR drops in the rain, it's the DPI no call and now Toney's offsides. All this avoids talking about KC being sloppy and undisciplined on offense and putting any blame on the NFLs golden boy for his childish meltdown afterwards.
thank you. and for the record most shows this morning roasted the chiefs for acting like fools
Perfectly said!
%100.
@@TheAireaidLordthat’s exactly why I like Colin less and less each week. He legitimately seems like he’s losing his understanding of the game
Bingo.
It's absolutely not a tickytack call, he was CLEARLY offside and didn't even look at the ref or ask if he was okay. KC isn't losing games because of refs, they are losing games because of terrible receivers, LIKE TONEY.
If it is a clear penalty why didnt they call it the 4 times it happened earlier in the game?
Toney was told FOUR TIMES prior that lining up there was okay. By the refs.
How about Von Miller 2 plays later? How about Waddle 4x Monday night? And Pat said it at the post game interview. You wait till one minute left to call it? Consistency is all anybody is looking for...
Its not controversial it was a obvious penalty, like last week witb the no dpi against the chiefs
It's controversial cause last week and the Superbowl, the talking point was "let them play" "don't let the refs take away the moment"
@@HardGayMooseshould be mad at Toney not the Refs. He was way offside.
Refs going blind with von miller…….
@@HardGayMoose they threw the flag well before the ball was ever thrown if it was an incomplete pass no one would talk about it but the play turned into a TD and now it's a talking point
Controversial simply means to give rise to public disagreement. Given Patrick Maholmes reaction and chiefs fans at large i think its a fair use of the word
Bro stop sticking up for Mahomes and the Chiefs.... IT WAS A PENALTY! and adequately called. Mahomes embarrassed himself point blank simple
The Bills have a stake in this too...The Chiefs don't need to heed the rules? There is a level of entitlement here that is astounding...
The refs told Toney that it was okay to line up that way FOUR TIMES prior. Keep trying though.
Can you imagine MJ going to Larry Bird after the game saying "F-ing horrible call at the end! I've never seen a foul call like that!" after he misses a game-winning shot?
Do you think Kobe ever went to Tim Duncan after game 7 loss and say "F-ing horrible call at the end." to Tim and continue talking about in post game interview? That's something that LeBron would do, man.
It’s not a ticky tack call whatsoever. This “controversy” is a joke. You’re a professional athlete making millions of dollars, know the rules.
It's not even as if it was some byzantine rule that is barely ever relevant. It's the most obvious rule in the entire game.
😂😂Mark with the perfect setup for Colin’s ad at the end there
Why is the audio so bad in these youtube videos?
Sanchez is a great interview
Why can they never get the sound fixed? 4 weeks in a row now.
The call had to be made. There's no other way about. The offsides was so bad that it's 100% Toney's fault, not the ref
The funny thing is, Toney did this four other times in the game and was never flagged or warned. Seems a bit arbitrary from the ref. It was absolutely a penalty and needed to be flagged, but he should have been flagged earlier in the game for it and it might not have happened at that point. but Toney is an idiot, so maybe it still would have happened.
@@geezee9208@geezee9208 So if you are speeding in a school zone 3 times and finally, on the 4th time, the police official gives you a citation, it's their fault for not warning you on one of the 1st three times. How about from now on, the Chiefs WR coach and assistants direct their unit like how it is done in baseball.
@@richiemc6170 That is a poor example. They are criminal offences that endanger lives. Of course the police should be issuing a citation anytime they see someone speeding in a school zone. There is no excuse for the receiver being offside. The refs should also be consistent with their calls too and throw the flag each time, especially when they are looking down the line of scrimmage every play and see the offence every time.
@@richiemc6170 wtf are you talking about you cant use an analogy to explain a nuanced subject it defies logic. In a FOOTBALL GAME you don't get penalized for offensive offsides in the last minute of the game if you have been doing it all game. If the refs saw that they should have called it earlier. Thats the issue everyone has how inconsistent officiating is and calling THAT penalty at THAT time in the game and not earlier is the definition of inconsistent. Man yall fools need to go back to school cause your comprehension skills are atrocious.
Why didn't the KC players say "hey Toney, back up alittle dude"? I played DB and LB in high school and I remember our coaches always telling us, "you are responsible for your teammates" and our coaches also told us "you have to always keep communicating with your teammates".
Mark is one of my favorite commentators of the game because of his breakdown of the play.
Yeah….i agree…he knows…and is able to make it simple to understand..
why is colin hating on jmacs mens league
Grown men who are PROFESSIONALS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REMINDED HOW TO PREFORM SAID JOB. Do the refs suggest to the coaches when to challenge. QUIT WHINING CHEIFS THE LEAGUE ISNT DESIGNED FOR OPTIONAL RULES.
Yeah, pre-snap penalties like lining up wrong, no sympathy from me. But, that was an incredible play that got wiped. But when you watch, the flag was thrown immediately by the ref. No hesitation. Before Mahomes completed his dropback that flag was out.
This was in no way controversial. Everyone in the stadium could see he was offsides. The only controversy would have been if it WASN'T called.
And that wimp Sanchez, ohh..I better not say anything bad about Mahomes...
Literally the exact opposite of a ticky tack penalty. Why are people pretending like that obvious penalty shouldn’t have been called? Boo-hoo mahomes lost a game, get over it.
Let me ask you something did you watch the game?
Was he offsides?@@okellohope6990
His penalty wasn’t controversial it was blatantly obvious.
Why is the audio all distorted?
Mark Sanchez looking like Antonio Banderas in Assassins 😆
Toney is clearly to blame, then his position coach, then his head coach. This is basic alignment, it shouldn't be complicated. As far as the officiating, you don't get the same officials every game. The onus is on the players to not leave an outcome in the hands of the officials.
its literally the polar opposite of ticky tack call. Its blatantly obvious.
Can you fix the audio on your channel already. I mean come on so hard to listen to
This show is falling in the gutter this year
it wasn't embarrassing UNTIL he kept mouthing off during the handshakes. that was the embarrassing part.
Ticky tack? Did he even see the line of scrimmage and how KC was lined up? LOL
Stop trying to sugarcoat it; it was a great call by the referee 👍👍
Why is the audio so bad?
They did give them a warning prior play was offsides as well
It was Toney’s literal JOB to stay on sides, he’s supposed to ask the ref if he’s good, which he didn’t do? Rules are rules - exactly
Broncos Country, Let's Ride! 🤣🤣
7:20 is when it deals with the title.
(But thanks for the seven minutes of Prescott worship, Putz!!)
Collin “I can think two things.” Cowherd
The fans want flags to be thrown for actual penalties. This was an actual penalty. It wasn't controversial at all.
What’s up with Colin’s mic recently ??
Toney should just retire
Patrick mahomes is the absolute last person to complain about referees considering this guy who won the AFC championship game and the super bowl on game ending penalties.
Both were legit calls. Eagles and Bengals stink.
@@povertyspec9651 so was the off-sides. Which is my point. Everyone loses games due to last minute penalties. So don’t have a tantrum like a baby as if he’s never benefited from that.
You think he wouldve been angry if it was a holding call? No fool it was because of what the call was. And if it was such a clear obvious penalty that they had to call it, why didnt they call it the 4 times earlier it happened in the game?
@@okellohope6990 are you actually arguing he wasn't offside with all the video evidence with your "if it was that obvious" statement. Dude was ridiculously offside and the flag came out immediately. As for the previous times obviously they missed it but you can't blame the refs for making the right call. It is it what it is. Stop crying.
@@eweezy55 you talking out both sides of your mouth. You saying he was so obviously offsides thats why the flag came out but he had lined up the same way 4 other times in the game no flag. Was it obvious or not? If it was then call it earlier in the game because had that happened it wouldve changed how he lined up. The whole issue is the timing of the call not if it was a penalty. And everyone including you knows that there was no advantage on that play. Stop trying to justify your hate for the chiefs by backing incompetence of the refs because you would be going crazy if this same situation happened to your team
Why put it on the officials. The NFL should install a camera on the stick used at the line of scrimmage. Each team can monitor the video feed and tell their own players to line up correctly.
Its a ticky tack call, but the rules are rules? What? Lol.
They was offsides simple as that
Mark Sanchez hair.....wow. 10W-30 is a great product for my car...not my hair.
Dude was a yard off sides, not some subjective measure. He is almost playing defense, come on...
Only the pigskin and the center’s hand can be in the neutral zone. It’s been that way in football forever. Why is this some controversial exception?
If the pass is incomplete, tipped and picked off, or if Mahimes gets sacked and the play is wiped aways because of the penalty, is it still controversial?
To my understanding the play is only stopped on a false start and not on an offsides. But good point still.
It's not the officials job to tell a player you're misaligned at the line of scrimmage. Coaches job to train the players. Exception. If asks the official if is OK? I am OK with that. Officials should not offer if the player don't ask....
Player*
Would u call offside if a linebacker lined up offside then drops back in coverage.
NOTHING controversial about the penalty. Mahomes acted like a spoilt child.
I like how everybody on the planet knows it was the right call, but somehow everyone who talks into a microphone for a living cant quite figure out that being on the wrong side of the ball means you’re offsides. This isn’t rocket surgery. It’s not subjective. It’s objective fact and they’re mad that the refs are doing their job properly. So what is it? Do you want them to not do their jobs, or do you want them to do their jobs? Absolutely insane behavior.
It's controversial because refs are so bad. They miss calls and make bad calls all the time. It's so bad that they seem to do make up calls
The flag wasn't thrown at the end of the play, it was thrown when the ball was snapped. I know there have been bad calls and no calls all season but this was clearly a penalty, no one is arguing that he wasn't offsides on that play, so if he's offsides a flag should be thrown, oh but the timing was wrong, how could the timing be wrong, the flag was thrown when he committed the infraction. I agree the officiating sucks week after week, this was a good call.
You got give this to Mahomes, he created contraversial there, when there is no controversial, so people wouldn't tlak how this KC offense is below avg. and how badly they miss Bieniemy. And defense isn't that great to take them to SB. Nice move, I gotta give it to him. He can definetly work in politics after NFL career.
Hmmm, I don't see it as a "controversial" call, he was clearly way offsides, so were is the controversy?
They threw the flag right away too not like they saw a great play and decided to ruin it.
Flag was thrown before the play. It did not take away the play. If they picked up the flag, it would have been 100x worse to the sport
Why is it even controversial? It was on second down and the Chiefs just need a field goal to tie it. It’s not like that was their last chance to try to win the game. He was offsides. They still couldn’t win.
SOMEONE FIX THE FISH BOWL AUDIO PLEASE
Oh please. He was WAY offside. And for the $220,000 he was reportedly paid yesterday, he should line up correctly.
And the game didn't end on that play. Shake It Off Mahomes...
The only reason the call was "Controversial" is because Mahommes had a complete meltdown. No one outside of homers would question that call.
What’s with the terrible audio
Toney, like Edison's first light bulb.
Colin was out on Mike too…
Can we please stop saying it ruined a great play? NO, the flag PRECEDED the play. It was already called when the play happened that some players could have already known it was coming back. It changes the dynamic of the play.
Jerry Jones has been letting things “bake a little” for 25 years. 😂
“That’s a walkoff” with over a minute left on the clock. Your Jets bias is showing Shanchez. Referees should NEVER swallow their whistle on an obvious penalty just because the play was cool. This is the pros, not gym class
SANCHEAZY! listen man, the flag was thrown after the ball was snapped and before the play developed! Toney did NOT check with the reffs to see if he was offsides and he was looking directly at the ball lol... Correctly called flag, Toney had all the time in the world to correct himself if needed, he did not, and it cost them the game.
It's not hard to get in the way of the greatest play of the year, if the foul was called at the snap. And no, you cannot expect a ref to know the future.
I'm happy for buffalo can you imagine they lost that way
Look what happened in the playoffs with 13 seconds left and buffalo lost if it happened again man . I'm so glad they called that penalty probably saved a lot of lives lots of bills fans would probably be jumping of Bridges if they lost in that way
Bruh , they threw the flag as soon as they snapped the ball. All these suckers are making it sound like they threw after “ greatness” happened 😂
How is it the refs job to warn players are not offsides?
Why does Mark Sanchez sound like a veteran, winning head coach here?
Please make Mark Sanchez a full time co host Colin.
The refs are to blame. They told Toney FOUR TIMES that lining up like that was okay. Throwing a flag on something that you SAID WAS OKAY is pure game fixing.
The sound on these videos are terrible
Who cares what play ensued ?? The Chiefs OBVIOUSLY feel entitled ! They have had PLENTY go their way over the past SEVERAL Yrs ! He Was Offsides---Period ! Rules are Rules ! Unfortunate or Not ! And the Flag was thrown EARLY. As a Bears fan--at least up until this past week--our Opponents were the LEAST penalized in the NFL ! We have had that wipe out a good play as well ! What Would KC Say if they were Us ? Perhaps they then could complain every play ?! Despicable !
Travis kelce cost the Kansas city chiefs the game
Dont need a warning when its in the rule book...
The Chiefs do no get an excuse for this one. If if were a different team it would not even be controversial.
The Chiefs have also been lining up illegally all year, so this isn't a one time thing. They're trying to skirt the rules and this time it actually cost them the game.
@@Peter24601everybody does it though, constantly. Just look at the eagles and dolphins
Tony had been lining up that way all game if you want to make a point you throw that flag one of the first SIX times he lines up offsides NOT when there is 1:05 left in the game. I am not mad he threw the flag yes Tony was offsides but to throw that flag with 1:05 left in the game and not earlier in the game is pain INSANE...
the call was controversial due to the standard the officials are officiating at. they have been absolutely inconsistent this season and have been very picky with the chiefs games for sure. the tantrum was more of the frustration of the past games
Okay were does it say in the rule book that the refs are required to warn players?
lost a good bit of respect for Sanchez here. it's an extremely obvious call and the flag was thrown immediately after the snap, well before the play had occurred. it is not the refs job to line up for the WR. the lack of responsibility being taken by anyone on the chiefs is obscene
Don't quit your day job Skippy. You've lost respect for man who's life and livelihood is NFL football. ?????😂😂😂😂 Mark's opinion is based on in-game experience and shared by 100% of former and current NFL players...... but here's little old you ( who's claim to the NFL is sitting on your love seat wearing your favorites teams Dorito stained jersey) " losing respect" for a former NFL starting QB and current top 5 analysts in the game. SMH!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chiefs crying about bad officiating when they have gotten preferential treatment from the referees for years.
No penalties should be over looked n not called just the opposite they should call everything n clean up our great game
No special treatment, the guy was brutally offside. If it was the other way around and the Bills had a winning score called back, KC fans would be praising the refs like they did with last year's SB. Just suck it up and move on to next week...
Sounds like Colin is underwater
These sports networks really simp for the Chiefs. Toney's foot was CLEARLY over the line and its Toney's job to pay attention and check his placement. You clearly see the flag thrown just after the snap as Mahomes was still going back with the ball. Chiefs still had 3 more opportunities to score after that call. To blame that call on the ref is ridiculous.
How y’all gonna say he should get a warning when 1) the defense doesn’t get a warning 2) the man got away with it 4 other times so he more than likely already got a warning
After the year he's had, Toney will probably be wearing a different uniform next year. Wether it's Burger King or McDonald's is anyones guess.
Offside ez call
You actually cannot always think two things and remain ethical or correct. That's an offsides.
An obvious penalty. Poster Boy Pat got beat. Deal with it. Controversial? Hahaha!
Thinking Toney has severe parallax?
What you mean foul is a foul, then i don't know....? To many fan boys
This is pathetic & a great symbolization of the times we’re living in.
Toney was offsides, and it was bad. And then the right tackle was lined up in the backfield ( was not close enough to the center’s hip crease), so let’s stop crying.
