- I've always liked the Chaika, and colors and markings of Finnish aircraft of WWII. So put them all together and you've got one snazzy I-153! I've heard that the engineering behind this kit is really good, and I was really impressed by how well everything fit on this model.

Fantastic video showing your great methods of building and painting.Hope you’re well and alls good.🇬🇧🇨🇦👍
Another masterpiece and beautifully crafted model.
Having recently come back to the hobby after many years of other priorities I have been thinking about doing an I-153. This is really inspirational and gives me something to aim for. Thank you.
Thank you very much :) I think that you will be very thrilled with building this kit. ICM really did an outstanding job with the model and there was no fuss involved with this model. The only thing that was a slight setback was that they didn't really include a proper guide for where the rigging was supposed to go. Other than that, it's a marvelous model kit.
A gem. A real beauty
Thank you :)
Excellent model!!! nice job
Yay! I get to watch your video the day it comes out! lol
Now when people talk about it at work they won't spoil the ending :)
Awesome build. The I-153 is my second favourite plane after the I-16. I’ve been lucky enough to see both flying together at various airshows around New Zealand after Tim Wallis restored three I-153’s and six I-16’s. I’ve built a couple of 1:72 scale kits of both but they’re a fair way off the quality of this build🙂
A very nice Chaika build. Well done.
One of my favourite Russian WWII era aircraft, in the markings of one of my favourite Air Forces... craftfully executed to master class standard of perfection.. and nice music too!! ;)
Very well done. I know this is a scale modeling video, but the music was very nice as well.
Thanks Brandon, it's music by Scott Buckely, he's a very talented musician.
wow! really loved the effect of upper side of the wings after you applied the shading below
Thank you, I was really pleased with that effect as well. It's a bit tricky to do, as just a bit of extra paint can ruin the effect.
Neat looking plane!!! Nice Work!!!! Great video!!!!
Amazing build!!
Unfortunately, on the instructions, ICM got interior colors very wrong for this model, still you did a remarkable job.
a pleasure to watch, as always. Keep up the good work.
An other great video! One more masterpiece!!!
show!!!
Excelente técnica na pintura.
Parabéns!!!
Thank you Claudio, I'm glad that it worked :)
Beautiful work as always! Really enjoyed watching the progress on this
Thanks Michael :)
Nice build! Cool to se a plane from the north(im swedish).
I was really thrilled to see this option in the instructions, as I've wanted to build a Finnish subject for a while now. I hope to do some Swedish subjects this year as well :)
excelente !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful work my friend!
What airbrush do you use? I got a cheap one and I hoped it would work, but wouldn’t you know a cheap one isn’t very reliable or good at its job.
Most excellent! (Would've liked to see you do Rigging ;) )
nice!
Most would think swastika looking on fuselage, and wings , and must be thinking it's German plane..wrong! , German planes have never put swastika on the wings nor fuselage, only put swastika or Hakenkreuz on the fin or vertical stabilizer , and usually, tilted Swastika. Blue Swastika emblem means it's Finnish.
Agree with others. This is a masterpiece. Would like to ask about the rigging. Did you just drill a hole and then glued the thread there?
Thank you :) Yes, that is basically what I did. Sadly the footage I took didn't turn out, but I want to create a video on how I did it in the near future.
Lovely build as always. Contacting you soon, awaiting post in order I can send you your package
.
Thanks as always Jerry :)
Very nice build. What did you use for the rigging ?
I used an elastic thread called EZ Line. I also have some from Ushi Van Der Rosen, but that stuff is much finer.
@@rebelsatcloudnine Yeah Ushi hurts my eyes :)
What music did u use
Very nice work Jared. This turned out amazing young man. If you have a chance shoot me an email. I would love to chat about some of the techniques you use. Phenomenal work 👏 🙌 👌.
