I don’t know what it is about her voice. Just about any song she sings makes me cry a good cry. Not many things in life does me . My heart is somehow in line with tone of her voice. The sound of her voice is so soothing and hypnotic that my mind goes to places in my past. Some memories are sorrowful and painful and just by listening to her angelic voice some how makes everything better and replaces them with joy and happiness. Totaly agree. What Amira Willighagen is in classic ( won Hollands got talent when she was 9 in 2013 ), Angelina is in the Jazz world. These kids are OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING and UNIQUE. Together with the very young Alma Deutcher ( violin ,piano player and composer) they are the most talented kinds from this era. No doubt about it

Fantastic news! Angelina Jordan has just been named a contestant on America's Got Talent the champions for January! This is a milestone as her first Major Performance in the United States since becoming an aspiring star. This hopefully will launch her career to new levels. She has a new album coming out soon which likely will coincide within a short time. She is a National Treasure and a warm soul who deserves all she aspires to.

Boy am I glad I got to see this little gem live before she had her big break. I saw her back in 2016 in this tiny theatre. This was a couple years after she won Norway's Got talent. She's about to blow up and become the sensation she deserves to be through the world edition of America's Got Talent.
Earworms are what you get when you listen to music that is so beautiful you cannot get it out of your head. After listening to the many recordings and videos that Angelina Jordan has made, I have earworms that keep me entertained and amazed throughout my day and in my dreams at night. She is destined to be a superstar!
She sings bare foot in hope that she care help bring awareness and help change the lives of children who suffer in proverty.
Angelina gave her shoes to a poor girl in Asia and the girl in return told her she would always pray for her. Since then, Angelina does not wear socks or shoes for her performances.

When I first watched this clip years ago I knew before she sang she'd KILL it. ❤ After all who pays for costly session musos... expensive recording studio time - for a 9 yr old child? unless you knew she was FABULOUS! I'm from a music family and this just doesnt happen...!! I'm inclined to believe her grandma (seen at start of video) saw and encouraged AJs potential... hence this FABULOUS soul singer today! It's maybe my favorite vocal performance of all time. I'd recommend I'm Still Holding Out For You, or the studio rehearsal version of I'm A Fool To Want You. Both great performances in the style she does best.

Everytime I listen to her I am always teary eyed. I felt in me a lot of joy. I have that feeling that is so beautiful that frees me from all my troubles in life. I want to say more but l am at a loss on what to say. It is really something beyond imagination.

Angelina is a jazz fanatic. She sings the classics of Lena Horne, Billy Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. She goes barefoot when on stage etc because before she hit fame her Mum took her to India for a vacation, whilst there she saw a street child who was bare footed, without her Mum saying anything she took off her own shoes and gave them to the street peddler child. Since then she says she performs barefooted as a mark of respect to those who can't afford footwear.
I had the joy of seeing Ella in the 60's ar Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, so when this little angel sang "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye", I was reduced to joyous tears.
By the way she is Norwegian.

She once saw a little girl with no shoes and gave her own to the girl. She performs without shoes to remind herself to stay humble. So I read.
She is the "Rich Little" of singers. There are great singers who spent years perfecting their performance of certain songs and she seems to effortlessly copy them and sometimes surpass. Now consider she is Norwegian and English is not her first language. I hope we are blessed with many years of her performances.

When she was 6 yo and traveling abroad, she met a homeless young girl selling things in the street. After some talks the girls complements Angelina for her pretty shoes, so she takes them off, hands them over to this poor girl and swears to her to always perform barefooted until all the children in all the world can afford to have shoes.
So not only does she have a big voice, she also has a big heart.

She's all over Europe since 8 years. Watch her Gloomy Sunday and It's a wonderful world. She sang at age 8 at Nobel Prize concert. She's barefoot because she gave her shoes to a homeless Asian child.
I copied the following from a person who commented on another video. It is so informative and explains lots.
Angelina always sings barefoot When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. (that's a shortened version. the full story is more touching than the way I have told it here).
- She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the show at just 8 years old.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need.
- The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many record labels and even disney.
- Angelina has covered more than 100 songs over the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey and many other artists like nobody else can)
- Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, and many more. All of which were blown away by her talent.
- Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube)
She's already a superstar at this young age, since she won Norway Got talent at age 8. It was so awesome seeing your reaction to her. It's so amazing seeing gems who not a lot of people know about in the United States!
I remember her! a few years back I saw videos of her performances in Norway's got talent, on TH-cam, and she blew my mind. For her audition, at the age of 7 (!), she sang Gloomy Sunday. Such a big song, and as she sang it, it became obvious that this was a very, very, very rare tallent. Gave me chills. Glad to see that she's continuing and growing as a musician. With that voice, and that tallent, there's nothing in the world of music that's beyond her reach.
Oh, and she went barefoot in the competition too. I guess that's kind of her trademark. 😎

You should look into her early performances, she was 7 years old when she went on Norway's got Talent turned 8 during the season. Her first song was Gloomy Sunday By Billie Holiday. Her renditions of Summertime and Bang Bang, were totally incredible.

Angelina came upon the poor homeless child with no shoes on the streets of Tehran, Iran. Angelina's grandmother was in Tehran to show her paintings. The shoes that she gave the child was her favorite sea green ankle boots. Since that day, Angelina has helped charities earn over 21 million Euros to help the poor.

Call me crazy but seriously, I think were one to be lucky enough to be in a small club and see her perform in an intimate setting...that person, no matter who they were...good or bad...would be CHANGED for the better from that moment on. Her voice, her soul...is liquid heaven/good karma in audible form. Cosmic magic. She HAS put a spell on all of us who have been blessed to hear her voice. They should pipe her voice through prisons, orphanages, hospitals, war zones all the places of sadness, suffering, ugliness and despair...and simply watch what might happen. She is unique i n that she has this inborn ability to take any song and make it her own. She doesn't just "sing" a song, she "lives a song. I put a spell on you was undoubtedly my favourite of Angelina's recordings until I heard her singing The Show Must Go On. After listening to that my mind was in a turmoil. I can only wonder what the musicians did when they first heard her. How many needed to replace their dropped instruments? How many times in those first rehearsals they lose track and need to restart? How many just went quiet? Shocked... wow'd... like all of us. I mean - everyone reacts the same way - and no matter what warnings those pro's may have received before meeting her, how many were simply too blown away to continue?
